I finished the anime a couple of months ago so I decide to check out the manga and here are my thoughts! Overall the story remains pretty much the same except its faster pace and certain events take place earlier than in the manga, for example Jared and King Endon's backstory is the first chapter while in the anime its around episode 15 I believe. The pacing in my opinion is too fast and the action needs work, as someone who has read the books the pace is better and I feel like anime wise you would get a better experience. The art is decent ... but I feel like the artstyle is kind of weird, going into the manga I was expecting it to look like the anime but instead I got a weird legend of zelda , clamp esque art style and although I love 90's anime I feel like the art style could have been better, the backgrounds look decent though. The characters are mostly the same but because the pacing is better in the anime I felt the characters didn't develop as much and seemed even more generic than in the anime. My overall enjoyment was a 6, and I don't mean to say this is bad because I certainly don't think so, but by reading the manga the audience is getting the worse version of the story imo, if you've never read the books I would recommend watching the anime over reading the manga, but in the end you'll get a decent and very generic experience from the Deltora Quest manga.
