I've read a few yaoi/romance series's before, and this one isn't really a romance, but it definitely has the "feel" in it.
The story's one of the best I've read, and it's not even finished yet. I love the tension between Doumeki and Yashiro, and how Doumeki loves Yashiro, but at the same time he doesn't why. The confusion is what makes me love this series, and the characters, too.
You Kouneda sure knows how to write, and I hope to see more gems from her in tthe future, including the conclusion to this one, because the cliffhanger at Chapter 7 is killing me!

Blood-C was an incredibly hyped anime that aired around the same time No. 6 did, and I thought I'd give it a try along with No. 6. Blood-C pissed me off to no end, but I just had to watch more...
I read somewhere that someone said you must be masochistic to make it through the painful first episodes, and get to the end of this anime and still want to the movie, and maybe that person is right. Maybe I am masochistic?
I HATED the anime SO MUCH, but for some reason, I want to watch it again in Blu-Ray quality with the blood FULLY uncensored,
...
and I'm highly anticipating the upcoming, Blood-C Last Dark Movie this Summer. I look forward to the conclusion of this truly shit, bad excuse for a Blood series, no sarcasm.
Story:
There is hardly a story, apart from some girl who lives in THE MOST FUCKED UP TOWN on Earth, and has THE MOST FUCKED UP friends ever. There were some "seemingly" nice people in that town, but by the end of the story, you'll hate everyone - even Saya herself, but... even though there's hardly any story, there is a story noneless, but is a good story? Yes. Will you like it? Probably not. (I did for some reason. lol)
7/10
Art:
The art for this series was a little lacking, but I loved the design for those bizarre school suits that they wore at Saya's school. It was nonetheless, decent... for a Production I.G anime.
6/10
Sound:
The best freakin' part of the series! The opening is by far the best part of this series, and you'll probably only watch this series because you though, "Wow, the opening's amazing! Surely the series is, right?" Sadly... it's not, but the soundtrack is kick ass!
9/10
Character:
These had to be the most bland, boring and painfully sadistic bunch of characters I've ever seen in an anime - even more sadistic than the Higurashi cast, and you'll learn why by the end of this series, but unlike Higurashi, these characters have NO personality!
2/10
Enjoyment:
Wow... This is hard to describe, but... It's like marmite... You either love it, or you hate it, and I didn't love nor hate this series, and even if I said, "I fucking hate this piece of shit series," I'd still go back for more. Hahahaha...
7/10 (for me)
Overall:
This series was painfully disturbing, disappointing, and eye-gougingly gruesome, but the ending left me wanting more! More blood! More pain! More heartache, but the series sucks, so don't watch it... Unless you have BIZARRE taste! I for one must have.
6/10

It might be quite hard and seemingly stupid to write a review just from seeing the first episode, but I'll try...
- Story -
Ben-To is a fairly unique series about the traditional Japanese bento boxes that you see in all those different animes' and on the tables of almost every Japanese person (if you've ever been to Japan), but this series has a twist, and I'll reveal that in the review.
This anime revolves around a boy who wakes up one day from a coma after being somehow beaten up and almost killed. He completely loses his memory, but as time passes it comes back, especially when
...
he pays a visit to the store again and sees a silver-haired girl who mutters words behind the glass. He doesn't know what's going on and rushes to get... the ultimate prize... half-price bento, but for some reason he blacks out and wakes up in hospital again, and the only way to resolve this is to find that silver-haired girl and ask her what the hell she said. She eventually tells him to stay away from the supermarket, but he refuses to and this time he realises that people have gone mad over the half-price bento and are now battling to the death to try and win it, but has he got a chance, and just who is this silver-haired girl?
Watch the anime and you'll find out!
8/10
- Art -
The art style for Ben-To is colourful, but it's your every day modern anime art style, but it's still nice to look at, but it's nothing new either.
7/10
- Sound -
The music in this show is pretty damn good and usually fits well with the whole scenario, but the opening is sort of... over the top, but that's not a bad thing, right?
9/10
- Character -
The main character, Yo Sato is you average guy, but he's determined to get the half-price bento that's on sale, even if it means sacrificing his life. He's a huge fan of SEGA, especially Sonic the Hedgehog.
The other characters including the mysterious silver-haired girl who plays a big role in the story, a shy little girl with glasses and a blonde haired women with glasses are all very colourful characters, but I won't spoil too much for you.
8/10
- Enjoyment -
The series is enjoyable, but I seriously don't know how they're going to somehow fit all this in to 12 episodes... I mean... where's the plot? All will be revealed, I guess.
8/10
- Overall -
I like this anime and even though I've only watched one episode, I think it's pretty damn good! Possibly one of the best animes' of the current season, but nowhere near as good as Guilty Crown, Mirai Nikki and Mawaru Penguindrum, but it's still not to be missed, folks!
I'm giving this series an 8/10. It's fresh and unique, but there's a few flaws here and there and I don't know where the plot is going to go, but that doesn't mean I won't enjoy this series. I sure did enjoy the first episode, and I'll edit this review as I go along throughout the series
Will upgrade this as I watch more episodes, but may not need to (much)

At first I expected this movie to be pretty lame, but when I saw it was made by Katsuhiro Otomo, my mind completely changed and I knew I was in for a real treat.
At first this movie seems very un-anime like, as this anime is set in my own country, the United Kingdom, but in the Victorian era. The cities of Manchester and London are portrayed quite well in this movie and some of the artwork is just gorgeous; however; where Steamboy really shines is in it's use of 3D, and we know that Sunrise 3D is quite choppy sometimes, but this is barely
...
even noticable and you are able to admire the intricacy that this movie has, but... there are a few bad points unfortunately.
The story's kind of weak, but it's enjoyable; however; the movie felt kind of... empty at parts and sometimes the animation wasn't at it's bed and seemed very juddery, but this was mostly in the beginning and wasn't even noticable in the second half of the movie. It wasn't much of a bother but I did think my disk was broken at once.
The soundtrack's pretty good, it's mostly orchestral; however; in the English cut version, it's completely different and goes more well with the whole "England" feel, but I like my anime to be untouched and as it should be.
And finally, the character's in this are quite good too. From a steam-obsessed boy to a man with a cyborg eye, this movie is pretty impressive, but nowhere near as good as Akira, but don't be biased and skip this movie. It's worth the watch.
8.5/10 (M.A.L shows it as 8)

As this was my very first Satoshi Kon related series. (Thanks to a friend of mine for telling me about this wonderful man.) I did not know what I was in for. I expected a regular detective series and by episode 4, I was getting the feeling this was going to be like Ghost in the Shell, but boy... was I wrong...
From the get go, Paranoia Agent lives up to it's name. The opening itself makes you feel paranoid that everyone's laughing at you and it's kind of haunting and that's what this anime is supposed to be, and that's mainly because Kon was inspired
...
by horror movies mostly.
The main character of the series is Tsukiko Sagi, a seemingly ordinary girl and the creator of a puppy that takes the world by storm, Maromi. She's pressured by her boss to make the sucessor to Maromi and this pressures her. On her way home one night she's mysteriously struck by the newly introduced phenom, Lil' Slugger and he plays a very BIG role in this series as-well as a VERY BIG investigation, and that's where we're introduced to 2 detective's, Ikari and Maniwa who both decide they want to take up the fresh new case of Lil' Slugger, but it proves to be most troublesome...
That's where I'll leave it for now as I don't want to spoil the series at all, but I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of a mystery. And no, this is nothing like Scooby Doo, this is surreal reality at it's weirdest!
9/10
It loses a point on my behalf because of the ending. Just watch and you may get the same feeling I did. Love it or hate it, this anime's awesome and it's a great work of the late Satoshi Kon.
May he rest in peace and may his anime's live on as-well as himself in our hearts forever.

Story
Bleach has a very interesting story that gives both suspense and extreme action.
Whether it be battling giant monsters or evil dominators Bleach has it all!
Loses points for lousy plot fillers.
Art
The art style of Bleach is fairly similar to that of Naruto.
...
The art is clean and fresh yet lacks detail compared to anime such as
Full Metal Alchemist, Haruhi Suzumiya and Soul Eater. Although...
It does however have some of the greatest fight art ever seen in anime.
Sound
The soundtrack of Bleach whether it be the openings, endings or backing tracks
are incredibly diverse and suit the mood well.
Character
The colourful cast of Bleach makes the anime all that more entertaining
from the crazy nature of Isshin Kurosaki to the overly ditsy nature of Orihime Inoue.
However some characters can get a little annoying.
Enjoyment
Considering the anime isn't even finished yet it's enjoyable and suffers some slight
drawbacks however, the awesome fights and exciting arcs make up for that loss.
Overall Bleach is a really good anime and I do recommend you watch it.
Atleast until you've completed the Soul Society arcs.
9/10

Story ~ It all begins in the East Blue, an ocean where the main character of our story, Monkey D. Luffy begins his journey in search of the legendary treasure at the end of the Grand Line known as the One Piece. The One Piece is said to be a treasure that if obtained will make all your wishes come true, the l;ast person to ever find the One Piece was Gol D. Roger the king of the pirates. Luffy aims to overturn Roger and become the new king while learning making a crew, getting a ship, battling against the world goverment itself and becoming
...
a criminal all in favour of finding One Piece.
Art ~ The art style is fantastic, it loses a point for the fact that Toei doesn't make it look very "amazing" but the awesome designs, clothes and fights will make up for that!
Sound ~ Beautiful harmonious music that fits any mood.
Character ~ Some of the most bizarre character designs ever seen although each character has their own awesome colourful personality.
Enjoyment ~ I'm at the Post-Arabasta filler arc and already I'm looking forward to Skypiea, each major arc will leave you with an awesome feeling of enjoyment making you probably want to re-watch it if you ever run ahead of episodes.
Overall ~ Oda's marvellous creation One Piece is not to be missed. It's a must for any adventurous anime fan!
