Both of these are darkly themed, extremely unique, thought-provoking experiences with vaguely defined plots, requiring you to piece together the elements of the story to form an interpretation of what it all means.

Both of these anime explore the psychology and struggles of people with romantic feelings that are socially unacceptable. These definitely deal with controversial subjects, so these aren't for everyone, but if these forbidden relationships interest you, these are pretty good anime to explore them.

...then you might like Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei add

Both of these shows are unique, fun, fast paced stories with distinct, ever-changing artsyles, great comedic moments, sexual themes, and fantastic music. There’s incredible depth beneath the surface with these anime and nearly every shot is packed with so much information that you’d probably have to watch multiple times to even approach catching everything there is to catch.
