In regards to the movie itself, the movie has poor quality. It doesn't match high standard critique and moreover doesn't provide satisfaction of viewing. In all, the movie pretty much sucked.
Now don't get me wrong. The movie itself was a good idea. However, the progress and development of each character was pathetic. The characters had no attachment to the viewer whatsoever, and the plot was undefinable.
The entire movie progressed really fast and it was confusing on what was going on half the time. Not to mention that the sex scene at the end was really uncomfortable and unpredicted. The plot of the movie
...
was not even definable. I'm pretty sure it was just a love story but it was going somewhere at the end. They ended the movie when it was getting interesting so that really sucked.
One of the only good parts of the movie was the good voice acting. Compared to better anime, the voice acting was good. The voices were distinguishable and scenes where the characters would get mad at each other was really enjoyable because the voices were realistic. I'm mad about the voice actor for Mio though, because half the movie he was crying and he had a manly voice so it was awkward.
Overall it was decent, the art and sound made up for the poor story and characters.

First and foremost, Hikaru no Go is an absolute MUST READ!!!
Many popular manga now adays are always either SOL, Isekai, or mainstream shounen. I've pondered past manga or anime I might've watched and I came to the first manga I ever read, Hikaru no Go.
When I first started Hikaru no Go back in 5th grade, I was in admiration of the art style and the story itself. The unique character designs of both mains stuck through my head for all these years since then. Because of this fact, I decided to go back and read Hikaru no Go to give it a thorough
...
rating on a scale of 1-10.
After reading about the first 5 chapters, I was extremely hooked. Since I had forgotten the story, it was almost entirely new to me, even though I somewhat knew how it'd play out.
The chapter vividly describes Hikaru's personality to be extremely ADHD and not very bright, while setting a tone using different lightings to express deep thought and evaulation that occured in Sai's telepathy.
At the time where Hikaru met his rival, the rest of the story was pretty much laid out. Honestly from this point on you an guess the rest of the story and how it'll play out.
But no, I stayed, and I didn't regret it.
Different than a regular manga, it didn't ignore the amount of time that passed throughout the manga, even having characters graduate from the school and come back chapters later as grown men. The looks of Hikaru changed as well, resulting in people being more impressed with him as he got older.
I could go on forever about Hikaru no Go but unfortunately my fingers are killing me and I'd honestly do something else than rant on MAL where no one will see this.
All in all though, I'd give it a 10/10 because of the fantastic plot and characters.

I gave this movie a good watch. I was watching dub in case you want to know, in the future I'll probably rewatch in sub, but I wanted to play ACNH today haha.
A quick summary: a guy and a girl are trying to elope without any problems. The story line was pretty decent. It involved the inner-workings of time, and the multiverse theory. The story was really original and it worked out fanstastic with the animation. The animation was really good. I thought the way it worked out the story line was really good and I liked it a lot. The sound on it
...
was good. When nazuna was singing in the train it was ear candy. It was really enjoyable and super chill. The character I gave a 5. You cant really find any super original characters anymore. The characters design was also terrible. I dont like the mc's hair at all and the fact that he was shorter than nazuna pissed me off. Although this might've made me mad, I really enjoyed the movie. I liked how original and how it used many scientific theories. I loved it a lot and i would totally reccomend it to a friend.

Im sorry but this anime didn't do good for me. It was way to generic and was just constant cliché with more cliché. Its not that its completely bad, but it kinda sucked.
Story - 4. The story was pretty bland. A guy ends up in an isekai world, pretty generic. It reminded me a lot of that time I got reincarnated into a slime. It had the same story and the same plot. Not to mention none of it was original. Many of the encounters were the same as many others. The only thing that was a little different was the approach of the story.
...
The one thing that stands out to me in an op isekai genre is the beginning. Most don't do a good job describing the characters mentality before joining in on the isekai hype. It didn't make much sense and was hard to follow in the beginning.
Art-6. The art and animation was detailed, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was really familiar and copied a lot of other art styles. The animation and the fighting scenes weren't that amazing. If you could compare it to jujutsu kaisen now, it wouldn't come near to how amazing the art and animation is. This anime didn't take risks making it seem out of the normal and honestly wasn't that good.
Sound-3. Not much to say, the sound track was trash and completely overused, and the op wasn't something to brag about. It was generic, overused, bland, edgy, and didn't give any depth to feed my emotions.
Character- 3. The characters have appeared in literally every way. Not to mention there were about 5 males in the entire series. It wasn't giving much diversity, and it didn't make much sense overall. Not to mention slavery. Slavery in this anime was bad. They made it so the owner had complete control. A good plot would've been a slave trying to kill her master and escaping. Although its generic and bland, it would've been better than this. And I'm sure it would've been better to watch than this sad sack of poop.
Enjoyment- 4. I didn't really enjoy the anime. It was decent enough for me to bear through to the end. And the MC's voice acting skill wasn't too good. I'm sure this took a lot of work to create and I respect that effort, but, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.
Overall it wasn't good, but if you plan on watching it, there's nothing wrong with that.

Where can it go wrong?! Its an Animal Crossing film.
It did a great job displaying each islander and their personalities. And it felt like I was able to experience the game in a real perspective.
Story - 4. Unfortunately the plot wasn't good in my opinion. The plot was introduced 30 minutes into the film and for those bits it was kind of boring. Towards the end of the movie the plot got more interesting and used foretelling from in the middle of the movie to solve a problem. I found this really smart and really amazing because its coming from a 2006 film where these
...
types of things weren't as common. Overall it did a decent job using the characters in the plot, but it wasted some good potential in some characters, such as Hopper, Timmy, and Tommy.
Art - 5. Although it was made in 2006, almost 15 years ago, it wasn't the best art I've ever seen. There were plenty of anime that've done better on the art department. In my opinion I feel the animation was a bit weird especially on the character design, but you can't blame it, they were just copying the game. Although they were copying the game, it still didn't appeal to me. That being, the scenery was very nice and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Sound-9. I love the Animal Crossing soundtracks. Especially in the earlier games it had one of the best soundtracks of its time. I like how it incorporated many of the game songs into the movie, and it made it really nostalgic to hear songs from the previous games. I love listening to KK Slider, even in my free time, I spend time relaxing to the sweet guitar melodies from KK. They did a great job timing the right places to put the songs in, and the little flashbacks from time to time during the songs were really enjoyable as well. I think the music was the best thing about the movie.
Character- 9. I love the personalities of each islander in game and in the film. It really gave a more realistic touch to the characters, by hearing their voices and how they act in an animated setting, it makes the characters very lovable. They were so diverse, and although sometimes their catchphrases got a bit annoying sometimes, they were unique and part of their embodiment into the film. I don't have much to comment on it, but it was definitely great to hear some of the characters talk. I really loved Hopper fishing in the intervals of scenes. I laughed my butt of when he fished a boot and it was funny to see his expression towards it.
Enjoyment- 8. I really enjoyed this film. I know it wasn't the best in all departments, but it made me really happy to see animal crossing in a visual setting. I really liked the emotional impact some of the songs had. KK BOSSA at the festival was especially a tear jerker to me and I loved hearing and singing along to it.
Overall I give it a 7. In most terms it was an enjoyable experience and there is nothing wrong with it. It was a nice change to the classic love stories and fighting films that exist nowadays. I really liked how it gave me a nostalgic sense of mind. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. I even watched this movie with my friends. I really enjoy the nice details it had, although it had some wasted potential. This film was very good and I applaud the amazing work of a 2006 film director on this.

Honestly I found this series on a whim.
I started the series at 11:30pm on a Wednesday night and watched 2 episodes. Right off the bat I realized this type of anime was right up my alley. The relaxing sound track and the overall relatable personalities of the characters were extremely calming, and put me to sleep every night in a good mood. Thinking back to when I started, I immediately told everyone on my discord that it was worth the watch. Overall I'd give the series a 8/10, although its basically my gut feeling on this decision and it would normally be a 5, this

type of anime is amazing at capturing the aspects of camping. At some points it would show amazing scenery, and at others it would show cringe conversations between characters. In and out it was a really relaxing anime and I would totally recommend it.
