This review is for Chibi Party (Enkai-hen).
Ok, since there are no other reviews, I thought I'd give it a go. "FMA: Chibi Party" is really not an OVA that's all about the story, art, or sound - it's just supposed to be random and funny - a bit like a blooper reel.
It's a 6 minute animation that takes place on the studio lot right after "FMA: The Conqueror of Shambala" has supposedly finished shooting. All the characters from the film (and others from the series) show up at the after party for drinks and debauchery.

You're not going to get what you expect.
At first the series is very similar to your standard Shoujo anime. The main character is a cannonball of humor and humanity - not a dainty wussy female heroine. She's someone a real female can relate to. Visually, as the anime progresses, it delves deeper into an avant-garde style of presentation. It becomes less of an animated series and more an experiment in visual storytelling. I actually appreciated this aspect of the series and looked forward to seeing how the story would be told in each episode.
