I use to think that all pieces of media had some merit to them and that it was my fault if I didn't like them. However that is then, this is now. Danmachi is a bad show, it uses dumb plot devices, random harem events, and bad character writing to make a show that kids enjoy.
Now what does a kid enjoy? As Scamboli said it: Kids love stories that they could plug themselves into, "if I was Bell I'd save that girl and MARRY HER" or so the thought would go. Or "I have to save everybody these kids are counting on me" type deal.
...
Well as I've grown I've realized how awful this plot device can be, don't worry about your actual writing skill just think about the kids and maybe they'll eat it up. Going back even more, when I loved Danmachi I use to hate the comparisent of Danmachi and Sao. "ONE IS GOOD" I said, "Don't compare garbage too good" I continued. No, these shows are near identical in some unbelievable ways, even more so in how they make me feel. They both got the protaginist who gets random powerups when he needs to save a girl. The plot has no depth whatsoever in any sense. Everything about the writing is bad. There always has to be a villain for the sake of there being a villain. It's so similar that I wouldn't even be suprised if they were written by the same person.
Danmachi s3 focuses on the Monster vs Human debate, they explore the deep in-world discussion between the relationship between the two sides. The humans enter the dungeon, the monsters fight back, etc etc. This could be a good idea if the author could give me a goddamn reason to care. This whole season we are thrust upon a scene in which we have no reason to care about. Bell is our plug in character, he cares because he wants EVERYBODY to be happy. Alright at least he has a reason to care but what about ours? We don't have one... The only reason we are suppose to care about this shitty show is that there's a cute loli who smiles and acts like a stereotypical loli. I cannot remember anything about her and I finished the goddamn show 10 minutes ago. Going back to that kid mentality, a kid would eat this shit up. "I would save that little girl everybody must be happy" or some garbage like that. I'm not a kid, you're not a kid considering you ain't mad about this review so what's the deal?
The characters of this show were honestly pathetic, the charm that everybody once had is gone, everybody is just annoying now (More on that later). But you wanna know what makes it even worse? The stupid jokes we are suppose to laugh at. Guess what, I ain't gonna lie, sometimes I did laugh, the jokes were funny every once in awhile. But if I laugh at 5 of the 100+ jokes then something is wrong. I'd describe Danmachi as that little kid who keeps following you around, he says stupid jokes trying to make you laugh but none of them do, but once in a lifetime you actually laugh and maybe you think "this kid ain't so bad" but then he tells more shit jokes. You don't know how much times I'd pause during episodes because I hated everything so much.
The harem shit is actually getting annoying, there are too many girls, too many to care about. What makes it worse is that there are TOO MANY OF THEM that they all have to share screentime. Thinking about this made me die from laughter after realizing how stupid the thought of it actually was. Also what doesn't help is that none of them have a personality trait worth mentioning aside from your standard run of the mill stuff.
Everybody in this show had their arcs completely destroyed and forgotten about in replacement for the stupid monster arc that nobody cared about. The people of the red light district had no stake in the show whatsoever and the only time they were shown was to alleviate the pain of the people who liked them. But it's done worse in the Hermes and Sword Princess characters, Hermes was once this mysterious figure who felt as if he could control the world, nope he's just another loser as well who is nothing compared to Bells beautiful light. The sword princess officially only has two traits, kill monster and kuudere.
Ok I have so much to say but I would spoil the whole show and at that point what's the purpose of the review. Danmachi is appalling, there's nothing good about it, it perfectly represents peoples distaste modern anime and its focus on target audiences. I do not recommend for the life of me that you watch this show unless you're trying to get your mean score down. In the event that you do watch it I hope you enjoy it in the way that I didn't
To sum it all up

Let’s just get straight to the point. Tower of god is not a bad anime, but it isn’t a good one either. It’s just a step above mediocre, if you’re willing to learn why then read please ahead.
*Spoiler Free*
Tower of Gods main problem is without a doubt its pacing. It just speeds through chps of the manga without any slowing down. It’s like a roller coaster, constant excitement and fun however you never have any time to enjoy what you’re watching. Due to this TOG has trouble delivering impact, no matter what happened I barely cared. Even at the end of the anime I still
...
couldn’t not muster anything more than a blank expression. This becomes incredibly noticeable in the later parts of the series but for the first 3 eps it’s hardly there.
Tower of gods other problem I’d like mentioning is it’s incredibly bland characters. While the character designs are fancy and aesthetically pleasing. The characters are never explored past the basic traits. For example one character is smart, but that’s all he ever does be smart. Also the main character Bam is incredibly boring. He does get a lot of hate, but all for the wrong reasons. Bam sucks as a character not because he is a simp, but because he is just so uninteresting. He chases a girl the audience doesn’t care about, and with this he also dosent do anything. While this is a problem in itself, the pacing could have had an effect on this.
On the good side of things the animation in tower of god is good, after watching Seven Deadly Sins I’m happy with just good animation. Tower of god has incredibly good music, just as expected from the same sound director as Made in Abyss. Even though the story was boring, the music always got me excited.
Tower of god is an anime you should watch, it is easily one of the most important anime ever created. The anime adaptations of webtoons is a thing that will benefit all anime watchers, even if TOG wasn’t something to your liking. There are many small flaws that I could have mentioned, but I prefer making reviews that are simple to understand even for people new to anime.

So Haikyuu came out and made a second ova known as Land vs Sky!! It’s pretty decent considering it’s an OVA but it definitely has its fair share of problems ranging from minor to major.
If your looking for a quick summary:
Story:6/10 Art:8/10 Sound:3/10 Characters:8/10 Enjoyment:6/10 Overall:6/10
If your looking for an explanation read the rest of the review down below. Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes.
The story revolves around Nekomas journey to nationals set at the same time as Shitoriiwaza vs Karasuno season. They face Bokuto and Furokadani and a new team who’s name I forgot to get there. I’m not gonna spoil anything but
...
those games were quite entertaining and definitely funny at points but there was one major problem with the whole anime/ova, Pacing. As an example Furokadani vs Nekoma in the manga was suppose to be a major game, on the levels of Shitoriiwaza vs Karasuno. However this being an ova they squished that whole volume of content into less then 1 episode. That whole match revolves around two moments from the manga instead of the rest. Meanwhile the other game Nekoma took part in was pretty decent if I do say so myself. It showed us a new aspect of sports and taught us how far some players were willing to go for the victory.
It was a fun match and it certainly was a rollar coaster of emotions. However throughout the whole anime I could not hear a single notible song. For a good chunk of the 2 episode Ova your kinda just watching the anime, no music to set the mood, your kinda just there. This was a major problem and the only time they played a notable song was in the ed, not a good showing whatsoever. The new art style was shown for the first time and it was quite good. All the characters felt real as if I could know them in real life. ALL of them were enjoyable and I could not dislike a single team/player.
Yeah I was on the fence about this OVA, as an anime only I would have been so entertained knowing how Nekoma got to nationals, however as a manga ready I’m kinda left disappointed. If you’re just looking for a fun time than I reccomend watching the OVA, if you enjoy haikyuu then you will probally enjoy the manga. Now that that’s all said and done thankyou for reading this far and feel free to check out my profile.

This review was written after episode 12. These are just my intial thoughts. This review is for the most part spoiler free.
Demons, love them or hate them this new slice of life is sure to crack you up. The plot revolves around Suzuki Iruma a human sold off by his parents to a demon, this demon is a sweet and loving person enrolling Iruma into Demon School to of course, become a demon! As a slice of life it follows Iruma in his daily like meeting new demons while keeping his true Human identity secret.
Story:5/10
As said earliar Marimashita! Iruma-kun is a basic comedy slice
...
of life, however its main twist being that the setting is a Demon School. The Directors did an incredible job changing the formula with this one, in this Anime basic tasks are done with magic and at this school students learn how to be true devils. This can range from how to suduce men, summoning "familiars", and more. Things considered to be normal here always have a strange twists in the demon world, for example dodgeball can be played using super powers. Aside from that being totally epic it adds another layer of depth really selling you on this Demon World Iruma finds himself in.
Iruma however being human, changes the way he goes through his school life. Being a human totally changes the rules of the world for him, instead of summoning a familiar(a guiding spirit) he spawns a fellow demon that happens to be his sensei, he does not have any magic, and he can't be measured on the demon scale. His classmates not knowing this consider him incredible, amazing, a god even. This relationship between him and his classmates is very endearing and funny at points. However, nothing really happens. I get it it's a slice of life comedy but most jokes never hit the mark, there is no incredible moments, and after the episode it all just feels dull. Its an anime you can kind of just move on from. It also hurts how they never really change up the formula, it was fun at first but it gets really boring. At some point you gotta spice it up, and up till this point nothing really stuck with me.
Art:8/10
The art style in my opinion is very unique, when I see a post on instagram of a charcter from this show for example. Even if I don't know their exact name, I can still tell they're from this show. Settings and new locations feel perfect in contrast with the charcters and emotions are displayed perfectly, this is all your animation needs to be. But good art does not warrant a 10/10, there are some "weak" so to speak scenes that are hardly noticable but they are still there. If you are gonna get a 10/10 from me you have to go above and beyond, you shouldn't just meet the standard.
Sound:4/10
There was nothing of note in the soundtrack, in fact I didn't like it either. The Op is obnoxious and I skipped it every single time, it dosen't help that the ed was quite generic as well even though it was a little bit better. On the other side of the spectrum voice acting was quite nice, line delivery was convincing and it perfectly matched the tone of the scene. However there hasn't been any line delivery that has really sold me on the voice acting yet.
Characters:6/10
All characters in this show all feel one note, aside from the small few who get development all characters feel extremly basic and cliche. Asmodeus is that classic proud butler type who follows around the main charcter celebrating everything he does. Clara is quite pathetic with her not even realizing that she was so obviously being taken advantage of needing to be saved by Iruma. Iruma is the classic dense, average student we are suppose to relate with. The student president Azazel is that cool on the outside sweet and stupid on the inside type character. And the rest of the cast are all forgettable nobodys, in the end the charcters all feel like they're "seasonal" if you know what I'm getting at.
Enjoyment:5/10
Enjoyment was probally the killer of this anime with it going down overtime. If you asked me after I watched the first 5 episodes how I would rate this anime, honestly I would have probally given it an 8. At first everything felt fresh and new, now 7 weeks later it feels boring and cliche. If it were me I would have made this a single core series (12 eps long) and ended things off with some closure or a cliff hanger. As the series goes on I will probally lower this score if it stays the same, or increase it if they spice it up.
Overall:6/10
Ima be totally honest, I wrote this review because I thought the other reveiws were just to short too justify there high scores. In the end I hope I gave you an unbiassed opinion from someone who rates anime fairly. This anime does not have staying power and in 12 weeks I doubt anybody will be talking about it, with that said and done see you all around and I'm sorry if there were any spelling or grammar mistakes. Was kinda just rushing to finish Lmao
Thanks For Reading -DillonA

Ok so first of all, my grammar literally sucks. Most of you are gonna see my score, check my list and point certain things out. I’m probally gonna delete this review if I get a lot of back lash but for now here were my thoughts. I am not a reviewer but just hear me out.
First of all the story is pretty average, It follows the classic gang on a journey to protect megumins home village. Ima be honest, I hated the last 30 minutes of the movie. The fight was quite boring and everything felt kind of off. The movie for me anyways
...
didn’t feel like a comedy anymore. The first hour of the movie was a joyride, I was having so much fun and the jokes were quite funny. However in the last third the jokes were kind of just thrown in, they didn’t quite fit the mood and they more importantly didn’t make me laugh. This is gonna be quite nit picky now but, I HATED THE WAY THEY TOOK OUT THE MAIN VILLAN (Silvia). I’m not gonna spoil anything but it felt too stupid, if your gonna ignore the jokes and focus on the action. At least make it interesting.
The art in the konosuba movie was incredible, you could really tell that the creators worked hard on this. Each motion the charcters made was fluid and for the whole movie I never thought. “Damn this looks bad”.
The voice acting was quite good in the whole movie, the line delivery was perfect and you could tell the voice actors we’re having tons of fun with their roles. Music wise there’s nothing of note, in fact I don’t remember any music in the whole movie. This is quite strange for a konosuba entery considering the OPs always strike joy from me.
This is probably gonna sound stupid but the character development in this anime was little to nothing. No characters except for yunyun and Megumin got any real development. Darkness barely had any screen time, Aqua was same old useless, kazuma was hornier then usual, and the new charcters were quite forgetful. In the movie it was revealed how yunyun helped megumin get explosion magic. Now that we know how selfless yunyun was in this moment in their past, why was Megumin always so mean to her. I might have missed this in the original series but considering how Yunyun sacrificed Magic points or whatever for Megumin, why in the hell would you be mean to her? I get it, it’s suppose to be a gag but it genuinely makes no sense to me. I forgot to mention but Silvia was an alright joke villain, he perfectly suited the villain role needed for this type of movie
As you can tell I did not enjoy this movie, it was funny at times but I did not pay 13usd to watch a basic comedy. I payed 13usd for a new experience I wouldn’t be able to find online in the normal series. See when you create a movie follow up, to make it truly incredible you must express emotions that you could not find in the classic anime. A perfect example of this is Tamako Love Story, the original anime was quite average and fun BUT in the movie they expressed the emotions between the two main characters in a Love Story. Konosuba did not do this expressing new emotions, it felt like paying to watch a 3 episode arc.
Thanks for reading till the end. I regret doing this already.
