Absolute phenomenal manga that is continuously getting better and better as it progresses. It is over 800 chapters but there are many arcs and it is worth it. I feel two arcs slow down the pace a bit later in the series but the most recent arc has changed that around and made it worth it. It is historically based so some things are unavoidable and makes it understandable why the author chooses to keep some things in because its a story. The fights are made to be really cool even with it being armies in the thousands, the soldiers have their roles and significance
...
in what they do and doesnt feel like theres just extra people there with no personality. There are enough characters in the armies that are all unique that differentiate each other enough from other armies that make each fight interesting because of the way they fight. Even though the series is long, it is amazing and a third of the arcs are done perfectly while the others are still good and is very consistent in the fights. My hype in the future is to see the four pillars, if we reach that point, this series will be cemented as one of the best if it has not already. The anime has only covered like half of the chapters so I recommend to read it because those arcs will take a long time to be animated.

When this series came out season 1, I was unaware of the manga and the series was fantastic for the first season, although it had a time travel system, it was constructed in a way that made it make sense and not too complicated and it worked albeit the main character Takemichi was the underdog and incredibly weak. Thanks to it's simplicity the reader could just lay back and enjoy a simple tale of a man travelling back in time to fix the past which led to his old love dying Regardless he kept throwing hands because of his loved one and will powered his

way to changing reality. Takemitchi changes something in the past thanks to his will and ocean of tears which he shed, then travels back into the future and finds out things are just as bad if not worse, after that be goes back and copy and paste that idea a few times and we have another arc based around the same idea again and again. Same types of speeches, very similar outcomes all while the cast kept on rapidly expanding. The author kept adding new characters at the reader all while expecting you to remember all of them with all of their backstories, names and relevance to the storyline. About halfway in the series, the main antagonist was concluded so underwhelmingly and it kind of felt like the series should have ended there because there shouldnt have been any problems that would cause the future to be bad but the author just threw in a wrench and added a whole new cast again. With the main antagonist being there since the beginning without introducing any threat equal to him or greater during that time, everything after mostly felt like filler and not the same with a lack of direction for where it was going. In the last arc before the final one there was kind of a cool building of a showdown between Takemitchi and an important antagonist. In between those two walking towards each other we get so many unimportant backstories of random side characters that just kept stalling the progression of the story for characters we did not really care about. For every step Takemitchi took we got another backstory. I was losing my mind wondering when it would end like choso from jjk. It became very apparent at the final arc the author was done with the series and wanted to end it and he added a bunch of new characters that introduced themselves and started fighting. The main character never truly gets stronger strength wise and just willpowers his way through every opponent and the author being aware of that and the flaw it has created for power scaling. the author decides to change the logic of Takemichis powers to help power him up when it makes absolutely no sense and is still something I dont understand years later. Last couple of chapters were actually intriguing with the message of the series. There was a promise of consequences, something big happening which would shake the story but they kind of made it feel disappointing despite it being the very thing Takemichi wanted to accomplish. I feel like where the author realized people would not like that being the send of the series where the manga should have ended would feel underwhelming and he felt he had to continue it so that people would be satisfied with the ending. This series starting off amazingly and I will not forget the hype I had for it but it had too many characters that needed to be remembered and it fell off halfway with a lack of a true villain instead of the dumb system he added to try to articulate peoples desires.

I generally have enjoyed the series from being a non manga reader for the first two seasons of the anime and it does seem the arc after the 2nd season is not as good, the final season really drops in quality and is not that enjoyable to watch. The series hurts from having almost 300 chapters and the lack of worldbuilding really appears in the last arc because of how long it is and this is where you would get flashbacks of the characters to understand them better for the characters that have been kept mysterious and they dont get those flashbacks, making those characters
...
feel 2d and less purpose. The fights are outstanding and the series is consistent with the idea of each fight being significant with there being a loser and a victor and repercussions for the loser. It makes the series as a first read feel a lot more intense and interesting because you really want that character to win because well if they lose, it may be catastrophic for them. The power system is cool enough to make sense but some characters are made too strong and the only way for them to be defeated is to get hoed and it makes it feel less deserving for the victors and lowers the fun of the fight because those characters dont get to go all out. One character was foreshadowed heavy and we all saw it coming but didnt want and they still made it that way and that also made the fans really not like the end of the series. Back to the final arc, in most action mangas, the main character becomes the strongest or is the strongest in the world of the series. Well the main character does not reach that point and in fact probably has 4 other people stronger than him by the manga ends. The abilities other characters get are a lot more cooler than what the main character gets and the problem with the abilities he gets is the guy who wrote the story probably realized that the main character was strong but not strong enough so they kind of just throw a bunch of abilities on the main character all at once when the mangas almost over and because they arent even cool, its really underwhelming when there was so much hype for when the main character would get those abilities. This series really had the potential to be a 9 and for the first 3 arcs, the mangas pretty damn good, it just slowly falls off from there to the end. If you just want people throwing hands and people getting jumped with a cool power system and dont care about a story or about the world the characters live in, then this series is it. If I had to rate the arcs, it would be 8,10,9,8,6 and is why I decided to make it a decent 8 overall.

Very interesting manga considering the world is full of trash. I feel its a good series but storywise its a little painful to follow although the characters have good contrasts personality and design to differentiate the large cast that seems to keep increasing. I feel that some parts of the story could have been made a bit better to help the reader understand the characters perspective. I do think anime wise the characters will stand out well, I feel theres a few too many characters with white hair but they seem to have fixed that in the more recent chapters. Its not a strong or

weak 8, I think it does what it wants to do and if you like it, it will be enjoyable to read.

6 months ago, I was watching for new gen action mangas and this popped up and I tried reading it but was not interested, I can say that with the chapters that have been created since then clearly demonstrates the improvement in the artwork although it was passable to be considered good to begin with. The story picks up and gets better throughout the 73 chapters that exist. I would suggest try sticking with it for a bit because it might grow on you. The characters are lively enough to feel their personalities and the real life messages are real and relatable. I question how

it will go from here because of the most recent chapter but I think it will probably continue to get better. Give it a try I dont have a lot to say because its not outstanding but its definitely a 8 and 73 chapters doesnt give me enough room to speak on it because its mainly action and makes the pacing seem a little slow even though when it gets adapted it will feel that the pacing is good.

The artwork for this series is outstanding and I can only see two other manga series that are equal to this artwork and that would be Berserk and My Hero Academia. The panels almost perfectly articulate the movements of the characters actions so that even without animation, you can easily see what it would look like animated. The artist is very good at making characters look cool while the story itself usually has humor throughout it as a perfect equilibrium between it being funny and have action. The story for this series is amazing and you will grow more attached to it as the series

goes. The main problem with the series is for the past year and a half the most recent arc has been redrawn twice! We are on the retcon 3 and with a break between draw version 1 and version 2, its very hard to read the same similar panels and right now its not a good time to read it. I fear if this series is redrawn again, most of the manga fanbase will give up on it. I do know that whats in store will be amazing but thats if it ever gets drawn to that point. I recommend reading it until about chapter 190 and holding off until the manga artist stops trippin and completes the newest arc. I will say I do think the first version was not that great and version 2 was much better but the newest version, 3 I feel is the superior one and I hope it remains that way. There is also uncertainty about the anime quality matching the manga for season 3 so thats why I encourage to try reading this series incase they cut stuff or its just not as beautiful. The anime's season 2 also dropped in quality and reading the manga for that may be beneficial even if you have seen the anime to see the original work. This series is a solid 9 but if the newest arc sells it definitely will drop in a rating hence the mixed feelings, its just a bad time for being up to date with the newest arc but I still love the series.
