Despite the relatively slow pacing, This season was truly incredible. The music, sound design, incredible animation, and everything in between physically do a really really good job of giving life to Rudy and the rest of his family.
Content-wise, it sticks pretty true to the core plot of the Light Novel. Most of what is cut are the alternative perspectives of both some major and minor characters, just like the other cours, but it isn't necessarily detrimental to the show itself.

other producers, but strictly speaking, they do an incredible job at adapting the Light Novel. I get that Rudy lives in a world with morals that don't exactly align themselves with the ones in this world's society, but the fact of the matter is that Rudy does not live in that world anymore, rather one where it's acceptable to do the perverted things he wishes he could do.
What this season does really well, portraying Rudy's growth, relies on a society with differing morals, such as numerous wives, the slave trade, and the various pedophilic messages we get throughout, connected to Rudy, I guess we'll call them fantasies, in his first life. Through his experiences, Rudy learns to correct his mistakes as he is allowed the opportunity to restart and live life differently, and these are here to serve as a reminder of his morally skewed first life and later on as a point of growth.
At least in the Light Novel, Rudy is a little more perverted in previous seasons, so we don't see a whole lot of growth now, we're missing some things, that always happen with adaptations, but really doesn't detract from the message the season is trying to get across in a vacuum.
Here this season we see Rudy's growth in full display, and taken everything into consideration, winds up being enjoyable both visually and story-wise as well.
