Summary:
Isekai Nihon is a manga that takes place in an Isekai Apocalypse scenario where another world invades our own. First impressions of the manga are not good. It tries to distance itself from the common Isekai so hard, yet fails to do so.
MC comes from a long line of assassins, so the first thing that he does while him and his family are under attack by orcs(?) is to book it after stealing his old man's RV because he hates his family, why? I don't know, because somehow, he has the world view of a normal human (which he shouldn't because he was literally raised
...
by a family of assassins). And while stopping by a convenience store, he comes across the orcs(?) again, and manages to run off.
Then he sees on a TV that this is happening everywhere else in Japan, and immediately comes to the conclusion that Japan is doomed. Then, he meets an elf girl by the shore of a beach and helps her with his assassin capabilities, and used a knife to kill the orc(?) attacking her. He then immediately falls in love with her, and proposes to her on the spot.
Take:
If, knives and swords can pierce the flesh of these otherworldly creatures, then why can't bullets? or artillery shells? or missiles? or nukes maybe? This manga greatly underestimates and disrespects the military so much that I can't help but write a review.
Japan's SDF are one of the strongest militaries in the world despite having never seen any real warfare. With guns, and helicopters loaded with ammunition and missiles capable of penetrating through steel and a lot of other things, I just don't find it realistic that Japan would immediately fall because they were terrorized by a bunch of plus sized medieval larpers.
First off, the orcs, or whatever those pig things are, they were easily held off by the MC's family, so they can't be that strong. A bullet through the skull should be enough, and bullets should be able to penetrate through their skin because a sword and a tiny knife can.
And now to the what ifs, what about a Dragon? Dragons usually have hard scales and they fly so guns wouldn't be as effective-- AA guns, and AA missiles would shred a Dragon into pieces, or maybe a fighter jet or an attack helicopter.
What about magic and demon lords? Well, for demon lords, nukes are an option, and again, missiles. Or, maybe, a little bit of that mystical mustard gas or ricin? Anthrax? (of course after evacuating the citizens from the areas) or maybe just shoot them in the head from a far, a human mage would die before they could cast a spell from a hidden sniper.
And even if the JSDF fail, Japan is a part of NATO. There's absolutely no way that NATO would let Japan fall just like that without any intervention. Especially the US.
In conclusion, it's just not realistic, and isn't good enough to make up for the unrealistic-ness. Well, it's still only two chapters though I'll probably give it a little time.

You guys know that feeling? That abysmal gap when having sex with an amateur after being pleasured by an expert? Probably not, neither do I, but reading this manga is a feeling fairly similar to that statement.
The story has massive potential, an absolutely brilliant modern setting with a clear and fleshed out goal of obtaining the huge amount of a trillion yen, but how can I say this? It's just that, I personally don't think that Ikegami Ryoichi's art style is the best for this. Don't get me wrong, he's a skilled and seasoned artist with decades of experience, but after reading Dr. Stone, it
...
just doesn't feel the same.
If you like the usual fun and witty Riichiro Inagaki classic story telling, you'll probably have no trouble pushing aside the different art style, but don't get your hopes up, because my guess is, and this is my guess only, it's gonna get axed.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover", people try to exercise this as best as they can, but evidently, sooner or later if a manga cannot attract enough attention, all manga will come to an end, and I worry that this story worth a trillion dollars will come to an early end because it won't garner enough attention.
But who knows? Maybe I'm just a douchebag who's to picky for his own good, and that people actually love this manga, plus it's doing good in sales and statistics and I'm pulling everything I just said about it not doing well out of my ass.
Nonetheless, I guess that concludes my review, thanks for taking your time, and don't let this review stop you from reading it and less so supporting it by buying the manga itself.

Overall, shinichi sakamoto is a really confusing man who does not ever convey to the majority, after reading 13 chapters, just like how i finished reading innocent and innocent rouge, it left me perplexed and confused, what kind of message did he want to leave i asked myself?
On one hand there's boys kissing boys and on the other hand in each of his stories since kokou no hito there's the strong aspect of "God' and religion in each of his stories, and he doesn't seem to be mocking, disrespecting or shunning one or the other, unlike in vinland saga where the author deliberately puts dirt
...
in the eyes of people who are religious.
It has made me come to the conclusion that shinichi sakamoto has concluded that all europeans were secretly gay back in the day, and that he was simply trying to convey and live what he thought the european people of that era was doing behind the historical records, and i suppose he is right, seeing america today has got me impressed that he was able to guess such a thing, props to you shinichi sakamoto.

A Summary of the story:
Takeshi obata and Tsugumi Ohba took unclear shots at religion with this, masquerading it as a typical almost shonen anime with a typical and even cartoonish villain, then unfolding the curtains challenging the faith of anyone with religious belief, before restoring it through genocide.
Review:
No matter what your stance is on the topics discussed within the manga, be it negative or positive, i wouldn't recommend you to use your time with reading this manga, the bad ending that nobody wanted, expected, or saw coming, will most definitely leave a bitter taste in your mouth.
SPOILER ALERT
...
A Short recap of the ending:
Truly a stupid ending, because of the strong will that is Shuji Nakaumi fanboying over Dr. Gaku Yaneda and wanted to answer Dr. Gaku Yaneda's question, because of that fanboying and wanting to answer Dr. Gaku Yaneda's question, resulted in him killing himself with "God" in him, taking along with him not only the celestial realm and earth along with him.
It was revealed at the very last panel that Dr. Gaku Yaneda was absolutely correct in naming the "God" that Shuji Nakaumi merged with as a False God and only a creature, as it was revealed near the end that the "God" Shuji Nakaumi merged with was only a creation of a being who wanted to spring life on planets for that life to be able to end the being's life.
