Romance or reverse harem aren't my favorite genre of anime.
I didn't play the game neither, and I don't play many otomes.
Usually this genre gave me the vibe of being vain, void or stupid.
But I watched this and enjoyed, I think it was good and not as bad as people says.
I like the draw, colors, and the topic of the cards. I like the opening too, I usually choose to see or not the anime most based in the openings or endings.
I enjoyed the story and the twits.
People say the protagonist haven't a personality, I mean... Girl she had lost their memory, she didn't even know
...
what her personality was. I know there are some disturbed and toxic things they do to the protagonist, but I don't think is so fair to be so critics in the fact she didn't "react" and by that she doesn't "have personality" I mean in that moments she is disturbed and confused by everything that happened and by the fact she can't remember anything, I see like an act of blaming the victim here... And she empathized by their feelings, which is part of a personality itself.
In those moments, the most disturbed moments of bad things done to her, the characters have their own motives to do it - which of course doesn't justify - but we can see even it's bad the motives are not bad itself: Touma get her in a cage because have a strong desire to protect her from the girls who are damaging her, and is possessive with her too. The cage is some kind of metaphore.
And the joker just get crazy for all the times he is obligated to suffer and choose between save her and die himself, remembering everything again and again (Not like her), ending with 2 personalities one that love her and one that hate her.
Idk maybe I'm weird and I love toxic or something, but I really like the deepnest in that part.
And that is because I think in general love and hate works that way for almost everyone: You can love to death to someone, literally, but it ended mixed with hate if that person brings you so much suffering, even it's not her fault (like in this case) and you can hate so much a person, have many motives and reasons, but love her for other great moments of wellness that bring you, and it end mixed anyway.
So I really liked this part because I thought it explored well all that mixed feelings. And respect to the protagonist not hating in return to that or "showing more personality" or, I just don't know what those girls really expect from a person in this situation, I think she just understood and empathized the feelings.
By the way, like I said I didn't play many otomes, and I didn't see many of reverse harems, but I played more dating games and visual novels destinated to mens, and I saw more anime harems or romantic anime with one protagonist guy and more girls to choose and... I can tell girls are being really hard and critics here with her protagonist.
I mean the protagonist of this is stupid? No way, maybe you need to play the games for males, maybe you need to saw some of the anime harem. Girl the male protagonist of that are the really stupid, no personality and only a jerk stereotypical idiot, sometimes very asshole and are the males insulting, hating or complaining about it? No way, they just aren't so critical with their self or other males, and don't put the standards so high about how a men should be, at least not in this way, is normal that the protagonist of this kind of anime or games, male or female, doesn't have a definited personality, it's because self-insert of the players! It's destined to that, and if you think it's stupid or senseless you should see games for males and how asshole the protagonist can be!
By the way, I think it's normal and positive think about gender roles and why a girl protagonist is submissive and why a male protagonist is a sexist asshole and isn't submissive, but I don't think is positive the blame victim I see here (Girl is a girl who literally get murdered and somekind of kidnaped in a bad situation where she lost her memory I just expect that you don't judge like that in real life)
In short terms, I would recommend, seems like a good anime to me and not a superficial one with only handsome boys or stereotypical situations, I say again anyway romance is not the genre I saw the most but I see deepnest here.
P. D: I like and appreciate anyway variety of opinions and some criticals comment make me laugh a lot lol

I saw it like a resume from the original because of my childhood.
Like every Otaku girl of my age, sailor moon was one of my first animes and shojos. A classical.
The best of this resume is we can see the story without extra episodes, because I remember some of this extra episodes was exist and male protagonist was even more unbearable.
To me the worst in this animes is tuxedo mask. He acts like an asshole most of the time and the story romantice it.
To me and to one entire generation of girls, they're telling us this is what is normal and acceptable in a relationship
...
- Someone who act prepotent and like an asshole most of the time, then come as a savior, who doesn't respect and act rude as "jokes", who is older and treat bunny as a stupid.
I think to set those standards is toxic as fuck, and is sad that girls had those references in our childhood like, not only romance, but the romance of our referents and heroins.
Another toxic topic, as surprising, that I find is the character of dark lady.
Don't get me wrong, I found it the best in the show, I think she is a great antagonist and evolution of chibi USA, a sweet girl that end corrupted by power and hating their parents because she doesn't found love in their and end in disappointment.
I like her friendship and emotional closeness to sailor pluto too.
But I found just to ill and strange that bunny had jealous of her, being a girl, like a woman or a treat to the love of his parents.
Sailor moon seems an anime so corny you know the color, girl power etc...that I couldn't even imaginate there was incest in it, it's too dark in contrast, plus with the accidental kiss scene...
I would like, if it's something more deep in the story they would have go deeper into it to know more of how chibi usa started to hate their parents, but I guess if it is I should see the entire anime or Manga to know it.

I'm gonna say I didn't play the game in which this anime was inspired, before I made the review because I don't know what of the good part in it its a merit of the game or more of the anime adaptation.
I'm going to start by the good things, and goes into the bad and the worse.
Ok I think the best of this adaptation is the distopia that shows to the spectator, that takes strength in the first episodes.
I think the ending is good to, to be honest I was about to calify by a 6,but it ended in a 7 for that
...
reason, I think the fair would be 6,5.
The ending with Lucy thinking about David and seeing him in the moon it touched my heart, by the way an ending when the protagonist lose, being a good protagonist too is a good and a original ending.
The male protagonist I think he is original and cool, he somehow has charisma and their design is fresh, the fact that he is Latin and the Hispanic name it's helped, he is the poor but strong guy that get trough everything only by his spirit, resistence and talent and that rules, he also is different from the stereotypical protagonist.
The draw an animations is very good, the colors, effects and that style between anime and comic. The bso, opening and ending are very nice.
By the way, the development of the history is the weak point, as other user says, it start strong but grow to decay and gets poor and superficial somehow, including David's feelings.
I see common elements in other shonens and comics like the fear of turn into something inhuman with the power (ciber psychopath) or the death of someone important at the beginning of plot.
I'd liked to see female characters so good as David too because I think Lucy and Rebecca are typical and stereotyped (Lucy is the badass and misterious strange girl who pass almost all the show naked or half naked, and Rebecca is the loli short with ponytails who support the protagonist with no sense of deep, and it's sexualized too)
There's no much deep in the secondaries and their stories or reasons, too, including Lucy.
In general it's fine but I think it could be better fixing the weaks points about the trama and go deeper into developing the characters.

Akira sucks. Overrated.
So many people saying "It's a great piece of art". OK, I didn't see it.
There's many anime movies and animes who work abstract concepts in the same way that akira's art pretend to do, and they did it so much better and with more (of any) sense. So it seems to me that is very, very overrated.
Art to me, like an old classic, it's not that special (There's other with more stetic)
Furthermore, I find the machism and sexist in the movie disgusting and repulsive. I know, I know, is an 80's film... But fuck, there's others anime and 80's film. And they aren't
...
like that.
So in resume, not - in any case - that good as I thought by the amount of good reviews saying it's a wonder, a deception and a movie for dry and smelly machirulos.
