If I could recommend two animes at once, I definitely would. The first 5 episodes of this series proved my prediction of this series being a rip-off combination of both AnoHana and Sword Art Online to be absolutely correct; it takes no genius to figure that out. To avoid spoiling, I'll just say that a certain character in SnS represents a particular NPC in SAO.

All 6 members of Subaru represent a member each in Jintan's group of childhood friends in Anohana with little to no difference.

Same story, same shit. Well, the differences are kinda scarce, really. You can't log out, your life actually relies on your health points (HP) and you need to figure out a way to escape this virtual reality. Not to forget the overpowerful male main protagonists, ugh.

Both animes have human-based, futuristic robots which society often downgrades with the rare exception of the main protagonist, of course. In both animes, the main protagonist tries to convince or is in fact, convinced himself that these robot-types deserve to be treated the same way as humans, regardless of the fact on whether or not they have a soul.

Both series contain genius deuteragonists who make the viewers interested and often admire the way they handle certain situations and manage plots in the anime. It also includes a bit of cute little itoutos, always trying to beat their 'onii-chans' in everything. And not to forget the unfortunately dense heroines. Not that it’s a bad thing though :)
