This is an interesting movie about the beginning of Sinbads journey, as well his first adventure.
Overall it is an enjoyable story the characters are fun and interesting to watch, the music if and when it appears is quite nice to the ears and although the art style isn't the most extravagant aspect of this anime it is not bad along with the okay animation the movie for just those aspects is good enough.
Story of this isn't the most complicated and is pretty simple at the moment but still it's interesting and worth giving a try along with the characters which make the story move
...
nicely and during the beginning a bit emotionally.
I do have a weird question that I asked myself but i will refrain from doing so here in the review but I will make an assumption that it was due to the budget limit that certain aspect occurred once that the studio chose to make use of a character that was already introduced and focused on rather than some random side character.
Lastly it's pretty good if you like or would like to see the Japanese version of the stories of Sinbad than you would enjoy it, tbh I myself never read the stories of Sinbad but watched some cartoons of his adventures as a kid + with myself being a fan of Magi (manga) and it's version Sinbad I am willing to give a chance to other Japanese takes on the character known as Sinbad.

this review will have two different sides, which are my first attempt when it first aired and due to my inability to finish it (i started focusing on light novels and sort of dropped anime) i never got round to finishing it, so few weeks ago i started watching anime again and it has been in my watch list for ages and i thought why not. (there will be short summary in the last paragraph)
first impression: when it first started out, it appealed to me a lot, i mean military and isekai genre combined with an mc that isnt a 16 year old moron, so
...
you could say that during my first attempt i loved it and would have likely given it an overall 7 or 8 out of 10 just because it seemed different and intriguing including the other world harem members (including the war god priestess with the scythe (if you know what i mean, lol jokes) but over all the characters at the time seemed really interesting to me that recently i decided why resume where i left of, since i enjoyed it back than let me rewatch it so i did... so for my initial impression of the 9 episodes i watched it would have been 7 or 8 out of 10.
2nd attempt (may seem like a rant): over nationalistic and retardation on behalf of the author that seemed to forget the crimes that japan has committed in WW2 or perhaps he has been proud to of those events or perhaps ignored them and thought that the Japanese miltary was the most righteous existence in the world.
Lets get this straight japan was attacked so on their territory it was their right to defend themselves, i dont have an issue with that and the fact that when they went to the other world they built the defenses around the gate from further attacks by the primitive humans of that world along with monsters that isekai genre usually have. However the fact that instead of trying to negotiate with the humans that tried attacking them they just went and exterminated them with their fancy weapons? why those armies never posed a threat to them sending a military unit to negotiate with the army and the nations of this world would have been more beneficial and prevented useless slaughter in the overall picture but no.
okay further down the line a civil war like event happens so the military once again shows of their power by exterminating the insurgents why? they could have just evacuated the civilians or negotiated an end to the battle and pointless slaughter but what they did is bring few dozen helicopters and start murdering more humans that never ever posed a threat to them just for what to show off that they could deal huge number of damage?? they could have done that during the military assault in the second episode.
than it turns that the japanese army that should only exist for national protection is more skillful than black ops from the strongest millitary nations of the world... see the picture Japan is the best the japanese military is in the right even if they pointlessly slaughter humans from a very ancient like civilisation.
End of Rant! (story 2/10)
Character: at first they seemed interesting but after their initial introduction they grew stale and cliche to the point that probably only Rory could interest most watcher (wink wink) but that would be only because she would only serve for fan service and distraction of the stupidity of the author.
score: 3.5 but i will be lenient and give it a 4 just because they seemed interesting as they got introduced and some of their impression did seem okay...
Art: brilliant so 8/10 along with good animation.
Sound: was there any sound? i will just give it a 5/10
enjoyment: first time around around 7.7 (8) out of ten, second time 3.4/10 (3)
overall for the first impression it would have been (8) second (4/10)
if you dont think much when watching anime than you will enjoy it likely otherwise it will be dreadful to you.
(summary: over nationalistic bullcrap and a moronic author that likely was proud of the crimes committed by japanese military or never even knew of them and it probably seemed cool to him to mindlessly slaughter people that never posed a threat to jsdf in the isekai world.)

For this review i am going to do from to different sides, 1 will be purely based on the anime itself and 2nd side will be from the side of a reader of a similar novel which this was adapted from (i have not read this specific novel!!)
Right so i will begin from the 1st side;
Story; 5/10
There is no proper explanation what is the point behind the story. The first episode just showed some random things and expected the watcher to understand what was being showed to. Although i find flying on swords pretty cool, it does not tell me why i should invest
...
my time int this anime!!
As the anime progresses, i think what we are meant to focus on is just the comedy because other than that, everything is confusing, and just briefly explained through a narration after something has happened.
Cultivation ranks are confusing and all we know is that the character is meant to train the body and absorb ki and eventually he would have a chance to become a deity... the time skips dont help as they happen out of nowhere and then briefly explained what has happened during those time skips...
2nd side; I have read similar kinds of novels, although not this specific one that got adapted to this anime, usually those novels, are more dark, the competition to enter the sect is not that light hearted but ruthless murdering of other disciple and even within the sect the competition cannot be taken lightly. So when i started watching this, it took me by a suprise how light hearted it is and how much of comedy and it has so i asked around forums and learned that although the characters are the same, the novel doesnt have any comedy and is much different and cultivation is explained somewhat more in detail. So the fact that i who have read Xianxia novels am somewhat disappointed with the first and probably last adaption of this genre. Unless it was done as a 50 or 100 episode series with a darker tone and better explanations and the like other than that this anime will not have a huge popularity from both only anime watchers and xianxia fans like myself.
Art; 7/10
Art is good looking and nothing, can be complained, the reason i am deducting 3 point from the perfect score is because the story forced different kinds of actions on the characters, for amusement and comedy which sort of destroyed a bit of the good art. (this for both sides of the review)
Sound; 3/10 - both sides-ish
When the voices are fine, but since there is no proper music unless i missed it then it would not get a high score based on sound.]
Characters; 4/10
1st side; well as an only anime watcher the characters are basic thing you can find anywhere but the problem is they are not properly explained and the reasons for their actions and a watcher is only meant to speculate and nothing more which is somewhat disappointing. the reason for the score being 4 is because it got 1 point from the 2nd side of my view other than that as only from the anime point of view it only deserves about a 3.
2nd side; characters in such novels and setting are usually dark and dont like to help each other as well as there is a lot of bullying involved, the fact that they are set so light hearted and simple (although in xianxia it not much better and sometimes even worse) i like the fact that at least the teachers character is the same in both the novel and the anime so from this point of view it gets 1 point to overall 4/10 for the entire character setting.
enjoyment; 5/10
from anime only point of view it is somewhat fine, if you dont pay attention to all the plot holes and the fact that is it not doing very well at setting everything - 2/10. from a point of novel such as this reader i will give this 3/10 because it is my first such anime and i did somewhat enjoy it!!
Overall i give it 6/10 - its okay mostly if you know the subject (xianxia) but if you are just an anime watcher and have not heard of xianxia its score is only 5/10 meaning mediocre...

Right let start at the beginning, this is my first review "EVER".
Now onto the review,
When I got to this manga I expected there to be some stories that I would not enjoy and some stories that I would enjoy.
This manga's story regarding the BO is brilliant everything surrounding them is well planned and executed however the other stories regarding investigations after a while got so boring that I wanted to quit multiple time over because they were basically the same with different characters which made the reading more of a chore instead of enjoyment.
Story;
For me the actual cannon material that I mentioned above "The Black
...
Organisation" is the most amazing stuff you can find anywhere, it grips you and doesn't let go until the end. However the filler arcs are my problem at first I thought like this wow its pretty okay, after 200 or chapters of filler I wanted to k*ll myself but instead of doing so I took a break for a few weeks and continued onwards until the point where I had to take a break again because it was so boring.
Characters;
Throughout the story we meets thousands of different characters however they are mostly minor and almost never reappear again, with them I have no problems whatsoever because I know that there is no need to develop minor characters that will disappear in a few chapters. My main problems are with Ran, Mouri, Kazuha, some police detectives. Starting off with Ran she witnessed hundreds of cases but still believes there are ghosts when people say so = where is the logic in that???, next Mouri over the 924 I have not seen any character development whatsoever which is to say that he was retarder and will continue being retarded, Kazuha with her I don't have much of a problem because she is a minor character that appear rarely but she is basically like Ran but practises a different Martial Art. And Lastlty detectives in this story are even more stupid than or are on the same level as Mouri for example; A kid says something relevant to the case, what do the detective do? scream at them for interfering. Great Huh?
Art;
To be honest I don't have anything about the art it is pretty decent.
Enjoyment;
Overall my enjoyment of the series has been killed by the continuous filler arcs which ruin the entire series. The ONLY time I was enjoying myself was when the story revolved around THE BLACK ORGANISATION.
Thanks for reading "if you finished anyway"
