Just finished it and I have to say, it's a downgrade comparade to the first season, mostly because it loses the surprise effect, the "oh this is definitely a different Isekai" feeling of the first season.
So here we have a definitely worst season, my reasons :
- Roroa was really underwhelming, I expected her to be an antagonist or at least to give the MC some trouble but she's just another waifu.
- There are two episodes in the middle who's flat out boring (the slave merchant one and the next) I saw myself skipping through them, I didn't even though about it in the
...
first season.
- It doesn't go deep in the politics, Wich is a shame.
- For me the queens magic was kinda obvious, so it was not a big reveal, neither the direction or the soundtrack gave it the impact that it should have.
Other than that this season is pretty much the same as the previous for me. At least we had a kiss for Kasuya and Liscia right ? Some development at least.
It is a good show, nothing incredible but will entertain you, it can be boring at times and the soundtrack is pretty forgettable but the story and characters can carry it. For me it's a solid 6,5 it could definitely be better and if it wasn't for the 2 very skipable eps I would give it a 7 like the first season. That's it, thanks for reading
