I am not exactly sure what happened but I enjoyed every single minute of it.
It was fun, quite slow paced but overall very enjoyable. The whole story can be divided into two parts (little bit of SAO feeling there), the lizardmen part and the princess part. They are not really related, I don't think they even mention the lizards after they are done with them. Or maybe they don't want to talk about them because of the thing they had to witness in the tent?

I have mixed feelings about this one. I found the first episode funny and it showed all the main characters and their personalities. The characters are good in my opinion but they get boring later on. You've seen Misora and Lecty in other animes but Rico is quite unique. Sadly she turns into an annoying character later on. Kanata and his former teammates are great, especially Kanata who always "forgets" to tell his plans and ideas. His background is actually pretty complicated but the show won't tell you what exactly happened so you have to think but you can find it out pretty easly.
