I've been cut off from anime for a while. So when a friend of mine suggested to try watching this, I thought, okay! Might be a good transition! And it was; the first few episodes were interesting, and gave the feel of a dark story. By episode 10, I felt sorry for the characters.
Now, I haven't read the manga, so I don't know when or how the anime deviated, but the frivolous story lines were painful to watch. The supportive characters didn't completely get a chance to shine, while the main character Ceil, was a seriously whiny crutch to the supposedly awesome Sebastian.
