NieR:Automata Ver1.1a

Both series depict a never-ending war between two different lifeforms with ties to humanity over the course of hundreds if not thousands of years. The protagonists also both undergo severe mental deterioration after a traumatic event causes them to change forever. Both series have a strong focus on themes of existentialism and purpose. If you love Nier you'll also love Land of the Lustrous (and vice versa).

• Mysterious time travel elements that push the story forward • Romance integrated with the story's drama elements • Focus on a specific season as the background (summer for Tunnel to Summer, Spring for Yesterday in Spring) • Written by the same author Yesterday in Spring is a better novel than Tunnel to Summer by virtue of the author improving as he went, but they have many similarities.

-The main couple get married out of convenience in the very first chapter, similar to why Narumi and Hirotaka start dating in the first chapter of Wotakoi. -Mincheol (main guy) is really similar to Hirotaka. Similar appearance, loves video games, pretty chill and laid back. Only difference is that he's ripped... -Both series have a side pairing that's equally great as the main couple -Lots of fun comedic interactions interspersed with good romantic moments It's like a Wotakoi successor in my book.
