Kiseki no ringo is one of these mangas that when you finish reading, you feel refreshed, and an urge to eat apples.
Story: 9
The story was quite memorable; mangas about anti-pesticide agriculture aren't all that common. But the subject of the story isn't the only thing that feels unique: it also feels real and nostalgic, as it was based on a real story. The transaction from biography to manga was done really well, although there are some unexplained time skips, and that is why I didn't give it a ten.
Art: 9
The way the characters are drawn in this story is very simplish, which makes it more
...
enticing. They are cute, and their faces make you feel empathy towards them. It's quite a contrast with the background, extremely detailed and stunnig vegetatgion/ nature. You can really see the mangaka put time and effort into making it seem as realistic as possible.
Character: 8
The main character is really well done. You feel his emotions, and let me say, he goes through a lot of them. You feel bad for him, and you feel really happy for him when he achieves Something; Because he seems REAL. I might be biased saying that, considering the story is based on a real life story, but I can say nonetheless that the manga in itself would still be a masterpiece in my book.
But let's look at secondary characters. His wife, the reason why Akinori decides not to use pesticides, has a really rushed introduction, and after a page or two, they are married. Same for their kids. So if I give it an 8, its solely based on the main character's well done portrayal.
Enjoyment: 8
Nothing can be said against it: this manga will make you go on quite the feels trip. But at the end, you feel like you've done Something good with your time, and following the life of this revolutionary farmer was a great experience.
Overall: 8
I would put an 8 because overall, although there were a number of flaws in this story, I can't say I'm going to forget this story or that I haven't enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind even reading this story again; it's a story that, the more you read, the more you understand.

Mashima-en is a collection of one-shots made by Hiro mashima, author of fairy tail, explaining the title.
Story: 7
Since it was a collection of short stories, some where better than others. They are all fantasy related, and most of them have a touch of romance. Overall, I give it a 7.
Art:8
All the one-shots were collected throughout the career of the mangaka, and you can see his style evolve in the different stories, so it the art may seem inconsistent. Some had a great graphical qualities, while others didn't seem just as good.
Character:7
The characters didn't have a great developpement, since they didn't get a lot
...
of time. But they were all really likeable and funny, and most had their own personnalities.
Enjoyment: 9
This book was very entertaining, great humour that you can also find in mashima's other works.
Overall:8
I recommend this book to anyone who likes shonen, romance, fantasy, and even comedy, as its very short and quick to read.

Koi oto is a cute and stereotypical manga, yet I found myself enjoying it quite a lot.
Story:7
The story is average, you have your normal highschool girl meeting a boy nearby the sea during the summer. They end up entering the same school, and romance follows. What I especially liked was the fact that the author managed to create a realistic relationship between the MCs. They didn't limit themselves toa simple kiss, just like in most shoujo mangas.
Art: 9
The art is very fresh and cute. The author has her own art style, which is quite recognizable. I am quite fond of Usami Mari's other works,
...
and this wasn't an exception.
Character: 6
The characters are quite typical to its genre:
- The main girl, naive and adorable. She's very kind, and unlike most heroines, she is not hot-headed and won't start to get angry at her love interest for no reason.
- Koki Habara, the main guy, a charming prince with perfect grades and a darker side. His character was pretty bland, but his past story made up for it.
- The cousin of Koki, who thankfully didn't end up being a useless love interest for the heroine. I thought it was a change compared to most mangas.
-The best friend, which I felt was kind of an unnecessary character, just here to prove that the heroine wasn't a loner.
Enjoyment: 8
Even though the story was full of clichés, I really liked how the mangaka portrayed the relationship between the main characters. It was indeed very romantic, without feeling too fluffy. The comedy is very cute, and the usage of chibis is quite frequent, yet not annoying. What annoyed me a little, was that the whole turning point/revelation of the story was made too late. I considered dropping it, but I'm glad I didn't.
Overall: 7
In the end, Koi oto was a nice read. I recommend it to anyone interested in shoujo mangas.

This is a story about Kindaichi jr. , grandson of the famous fictional detective, Kindaichi.
Story: 8
I do not really know how to feel about having the grandson of a detective be one himself. It's like taking a big fictional character that you did not create and just say : let's give him a son! It's not really something you thought for hours about. Though, Kindaichi jr. is a very likable character, and you can somehow relate to his roots. The story in itself is quite good. The cases aren't just as detailed as Detective Conan, and a little bit difficult to understand, but this
...
will make you feel so much more emotional or tense.
Art: 7
The art wasn't the best I have ever seen, but I kinda like it. Its not bad, its just that I have seen such incredible drawing skills that this doesn't seem just as good. But don't be blocked by the art, even if it is kind of oldish.
Character: 8
I liked Kindaichi quite a lot, playing double game, being a dummy and intelligent a the same time. Though he's the only character I really liked. His friend turned me a little off, and I didn't like how their love/friend relationship was developed, and I didn't like the fact that he had a second love interest. I mean, please, don't turn this into a harem.
Enjoyment: 9
Okay, so this is what I like the most about this series. Its the fact that you can totally follow the cases, trying to guess the criminal at the same time than Kindaichi. Detective Conan hid some things, while this tells you almost every clue that they found. In the first cases, it didn't give the clues, but later on, the cases were a little more detailed.
Overall, I'll give it an 8, because nonetheless, Kindaichi Shounen stays a very good series.
