Kill la Kill

Both have over the top fighting scenes, post apocalyptic universe, fanservice and hilarious characters. The 'villans' are a group of four with a leader. Kill la Kill has Imayoshi's special touch in animation where as Needless certainly influenced by Gainax but not as crazy as Kill la Kill

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
add

Both have main characters that try to find out who they are. Both have beings that choose kings and revolve around the same kind of era and place. Magi is more lighthearted that Juuni Kokuki (at least right now) and J.K. is rather violent.

Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto
add

Star Driver is obviously very influenced by TTGL when it comes to the mech battles. The over the top animation style is the same, the beautiful universe background during the fights comes from the final battle from TTGL as well. There are many other similarities throughout the show.

Both stories are mainly about a redheaded girl who did not know she is the true ruler of a kingdom and fights to get it back from its current ruler. People travel by fanatical flying creatures. Both are fantasy and action, though juuni kokuki had more of both.

Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä

For those who've only seen the movie of Nausicaa may question this reccomendation. however the manga is completely different from the anime. Both Berserk and Nausicaa are bloody, there's a lot of wars, fighting and action. also a lot of wierd and interesting shit happens. with berserk its demons and monsters, in nausicaa its monsters, giant bugs that have a great link to the earth and immortal kings that breed unhuman warriors. Most importantly they both have a very, very great plot and storyline.

Elfen Lied
add

Both are about finding a girl with no memory but both have hidden powers that awaken sporaticly in the story. Both girls could only say their names in the begining and have cute ears/horns. Both have ecchi. :D Only difference is Chobits is more of a romace and Elfen Led is full of violence and gore.

Fullmetal Alchemist

These two series are very similar as to how the story is portrayed. Both are phycological and twisted in the same ways, you never know what's going on and the story keeps building up and putting things together. FMA is full of humor and it can even pop up in the middle of a serious moment. Evangelion has ecchi humor that appears in its own time. And they both are considered one of the best anime.

Well, If I tell why they're similar, I'd be spoiling the whole story but it basicly the same kind of science fiction. Both stories are about the future life of humans (I can't say anymore unless I spoil the storys. Sorry.)
