If you like rakugo and detective series, you'll love this show.
The banter between protagonists Aya Rindo and Tsugaru Shinuchi made me laugh out loud with every punchline, and all the characters interact wonderfully. It's great to see classic roles like Arsene Lupin and the Phantom of the Opera in fun and new situations while still retaining some of the original qualities shared with their namesakes. I can't speak to the quality of adaptation from the novel, but the pacing and reveals are very smooth and make it easy to stay engaged.

I read the manga for as many chapters as were available after searching for Shoujo Kageki (Revue Starlight) manga, and I loved it. However, I would recommend that you not go into it expecting something like RevStar. It is much more subdued and goes into topics imbued with realism, like weight gain, harassment, and role successions. Each character gets a satisfying amount of time put in to examine their characters, which some might say RevStar didn't quite meet.
