This manga hits a lot of bad spots for me: age-gap (both are adults, to be clear), sex being used as a transaction, sex while under the influence of alcohol, and generally the method the younger guy uses to get close to the older guy. So, that's my explanation for the score I gave it.

Still, the mystery aspect is very compelling. Who is this younger guy? What is his connection to the older guy's childhood friend? What does he know about the older guy's past? And I think the answers make sense and are satisfying (except there probably is a way to work around the ... age-gap). The way the characters are able to learn from each other and find comfort in each other was also nice. Characters should grow through their relationships, and this manga does just that. So, I'd say the story is well-written.

The art is very nice. Makes the read much more pleasant.

Main character is very loveable in her enthusiasm.

The comedy is good, which is evident from the first chapter.

The artstyle for the characters is gorgeous. The backgrounds are minimal but do their job.

The drama unfolds very naturally and doesn't arise out of misunderstandings or anything silly. It's very sensical given the theater setting and two of the characters' past together, and it's really beautiful seeing the relationships develop and characters pursuing their passions. The relationship between Soyoung and Jaeyi is very sweet, and the story indulges in the MC and their favorite actor develop feelings for one another in a more toned-down way that ... makes it feel more realistic (compared to if her favorite actor was a major celebrity).

The story comes to an end at an understandable place, but there are some side characters that could have gotten more development, and the story overall could've continued if it wanted to with multiple sources of potential conflict (the play they end on, main character's work, etc.).

Overall, it's an easy and pleasant read. Good for destressing or if you want a relatable story about pursuing the arts (in this case, acting in theater).

It feels self-indulgent in a good way. I threw my phone down in embarrassment a lot, since a lot of scenes are very intimate and teasing. Everything is very well drawn, but the cat in particular really impressed me with all the cute stretches and posing extra-cute to get what he wants.

The main character gets called an "ice queen" in the beginning in contrast to her weakness to cats, but she gets flustered so much throughout the manga that this description will confuse you. Nekoyama is very deadpan but expresses himself in body language like a cat, and it's funny and cute when he ... teases the main character.

This manga is fast-paced in terms of the characters warming up to one another and progressing their relationship, so that is also a huge plus. It also doesn't shy away from sexual tension.

(This review has been written at a time where the manga is unfinished and currently at chapter 16) It would be nice if the main character's friends get fleshed out more or show more distinct personalities.

I'm mostly writing this for my future self, haha. I'm sorry this isn't a particularly well-informed review. The stories are very satisfying to me, although I was surprised the story didn't keep going, I'm so used to long-running series. I actually like shorter stories more, while secretly wanting them to go on forever in my heart. The characters weren't people I felt particularly attached to, but I was very interested in peeking into their lives the amount I was allowed. I liked the first two stories the most, but the last two have interesting follow-up, I think. The first story made me very satisfied with ... it's twist, and the second was the most interesting to me with the mystery around the doodler. The art isn't the best, but it is charming and gentle on my eyes.

I wish it was longer. I really liked Megumi as a character. However, I know an extension would include her old friends bothering her all the time, which made me a bit sad initially, since it felt like friends being drawn apart due to differing interests, and easily grew annoying. It comes to a fine conclusion anyways. Megumi's circumstances are interesting, and I liked listening to her thoughts. The comedy was good. Mikoto is great both here and in Princess Princess, so I was glad to get more of him. The thing I'll miss the most is art of Megumi.

I've been trying to fill ... the void in my heart, but it has only grown larger as I search for similar manga...
