Hello there,
I thought I'd add my own perspective on this.
While this is indeed a standard Isekai manga and it borrows plenty of the gimmicks, and character traits of different works, it does have this mysterious charm that is carried primarily by the main cast.
Although an older gentleman, Fujimura, a veteran steel craftsman takes full advantage of his newly-found youth to craft his own weapons and makes use of the magic system to make some powerful explosive stuff. He is quite the optimistic fellow who sees the potential in anybody, acting pretty much like the caring dad of his party of misfits, despite being a teen
...
in his new body.
Frau an armless adventurer down on her luck, although a typical downtrodden maiden at first, slowly grows into someone the people around her admire. So she gets a decent character arc.
Then there's Eltiko, the elf rejected by magic itself who needs to overcome her enemies and her curse.
While at the end of each arc Fujimura does face a boss battle and wins with wits and strong skills, what I love about this manga is that he places a lot of faith in his initially misfortunate friends and encourages their growth. So I can't help but like characters who start from the bottom and someone helps them rise to the occasion.
While the art and world-building is average, it does make up by having the cast put a smile on your face.
Overall, it's a good mood-booster manga!

A definite hidden gem among the wholesome yet somewhat lewd romcom mangas, this one is a pleasant, relaxing, casual read. It strikes me that the author of this work wanted to make the work about the optimistic future of an adult couple moving to a new town to live together yet he also makes sure to add some depth to these characters.
Story - 7 (Spoilers)
The first half definitely gets deep. It explores some themes of complex adult personal issues people have in relationships. The main character Ochiai is a recently divorced lady who's has bad experiences with her ex-husband to put it mildly. She lives
...
the single life but her luck turns around when her neighbour Sawatari-kun enters the picture. Under the excuse of returning a favor, Ochiai starts visiting Sawatari to cook a meal or two as a nice gesture and things just keep on developing for the better on here. It presents real life problems like emotional and employment issues but doesn't dwell too much on them as the mangaka strives to show the readers that the situation can always improve. You can always find someone to love and it's really wholesome. The development is slow and the chapters are more focused on slice of life but the best part of the story is that it doesn't stay in one place too much. I'll explain why in the characters section.
Characters - 8 (spoilers)
Ochai-san - There's quite the amount of character growth that was provided in the span of a few dozen chapters. She starts off as skittish, hurt, self-loathing woman who blames herself for her failed marriage. And it's thanks to her neighbour Sawatari-kun, bless his soul, that she is able to see her worth and feel appreciated. Also she's thick AF, so some cultured readers might appreciate that. The best part about her new relationship with him is that it actually progresses and doesn't fall into the "will-they-or-won't they get together" trap.
Sawatari-kun - The second main character and Mr. Sunshine himself. He is a true blessing, and the buff protector of his new lady companion. He might at first strike you as oblivious to love but is actually incredibly dependable, and not as naive as the reader might assume. He is very blunt but always nice with his words and is integral to bringing that necessary bit of happiness in Ochai's life. Trust me, if you think he's too dense, he'll surprise you. Though if you want to know how the romance progresses, I suggest you read the manga.
Karasuma-san - Ochiai-san's work colleague from a Starbucks like chain, outwardly she strikes you as gloomy like because of the dark circles and hairstyle, however she is quite the wingwoman and more of the older wiser sister type. She and Ochiai have a lot they relate on plus Karasuma does offer that adult humor with her teasing. Not to worry, it's in small doses.
Art - 6
The backgrounds are pretty simplified most of the time and the characters are just about expected for the genre quality wise. However any colored page with Ochiai has quite some detail added with accents on the sexy bits. Then again the artist is known for loving to draw big hipped busty ladies.
Enjoyment - 8
Very relaxing and wholesome as I explained. Ochiai is drawn to be hot so you could count it as fanservice based on her looks alone. Overall the series is a feel good story meant to give you the feels and to help you feel comfy.
Overall - 8
If you like a more chill version of Uzaki-chan with characters with milder personalities, this manga would be perfect for you. It's much like Bijin Onna Joushi Takizawa-san if you know the title.

Hello and thanks for having a look!
I've noticed that this manga is yet to receive a review so I thought I'd write my thoughts.
Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! is a wonderful addition to the comedy genre in the world of Manga. It's simplistic concept, ideas and characters give it a lot of room to explore the possibilities when two completely oposite personalities such as the two MCs interact.
Story - 10:
A simple boy-meets-girl tale, it follows the daily college lives of two University students. It's a good
...
direction that the mangaka has chosen when he decided to focus more on the two people's everyday activities outside of campus thus not complicating it with school life. The settings range from Sakurai's workplace at a cafe, to Sakurai's home which is constantly invaded by his Kouhai Uzaki to batting cages and movie theatres.
The atmosphere and scenarios that occur are refreshing and lighthearted. The artist knows exactly how to make the reader laugh and gives us the right amount of fan service without making the situations forced unlike so many other works that blatantly provide upskirt and butt shots galore. A few awkward situations are enough to make the story believable and relatable. But of course in order to trully understand the essence of the story, I need to address the characters.
Characters - 10:
Uzaki Hana - By far the most enjoyable protagonist, she's very extroverted and your typical genki girl. However it goes beyond that as her way of trolling her Senpai Sakurai is absolute gold. I found the fact that she used to be in the same school as him before they moved to college to be endearing. She provides good contrast to the loner and stiff type that Sakurai represents, with her exuberance and always manages to eventually melt his dense shut-in icy heart. Doesn't hurt that she's cute and stacked too. Her relationship with the guy is so fun to explore that even the people around them literally ship them. No really! It's an actual running gag in the story!
Sakurai Shinichi - this sour senpai might seem to have a broody disposition. At first. But deep inside, under all of the "I just wanna play video games alone without Uzaki bothering me" grumpiness, he's just a big softie. This is often displayed for example by his love for cats, embarrassment as he tries hard to keep Uzaki out of trouble. I also really like how funny he looks when he gets pi$$ed off when the girl is trolling him. I admit he is not for everybody but you can't help but relate to him if you're also a bit of a shut-in and/or an introvert. You can also see that he secretly enjoys it when Uzaki drags him around and makes him do social things.
Supporting cast - A rather small one, it mostly consists of Sakurai's boss and his daughter Ami who is also working at the cafe. This is where the shipping comes in. It's always fun to picture yourself as them as they root for the two protagonists, hoping for them to get together. And their quirky personalities help carry the situations forward. Then we have Sakaki-kun, Sakurai's best friend who really pushes the situation with being quite blunt and asking them probing questions.
Art - 7:
I'd say the art is nothing special. The backgrounds are quite simplified, the mangaka doesn't seem to focus on it much and the overall character design is pretty standard for the genre. I'd say it really reminds me of D-Frag.
Enjoyment - 10:
If you want something to laugh at and make you feel full of positivity, this is the manga you need to read.
Overall - 10:
I'd recomend it for anyone who likes comedies with some mild of Ecchi peppered in all the right spots.

A manga that is a true example on my "WTF did I just see" list. I know most of you will mark this as a hate review and write it off but hey, everybody has a right to their own opinion.
First of all, this isn't an in depth review. I am aware that I haven't read much of the manga itself but by sheer curiosity, I've read up on what happens further in character and story summaries in the wikia of the series.
Where should I start:
Art - 9 - Despite the unending barage of cringe moments that are dialed up to 11, the art is
...
extremely detailed. I can give the manga at least this.
Characters - 1 - No matter how much character development and depth the mangaka might've tried to insert it all comes crashing down when he turns this into a festival of fetishes! Most of the notable characters seem to have deep psychological problems and an obsessions tied to a sexual nature.
The boys at first seem to be your run of the mill perverts in the beginning then they actually do the smart thing when the psychos from the underground student council imprison them by claiming that this breaches their civil rights. Yet instead of taking that phone and owing up to their mistake to their parents, the plot makes them refrain from doing the right thing and making a few calls. This is where it all goes downhill for the way they are shaped as people - they keep taking the abuse and actually even enjoy it as it brings them sexual satisfaction. It's ironic that eventually they have to take the side of their abusers (the USC) because the ASC are so twisted themselves.
The USC - One word: Bi%$hes I don't care much that they later on get abused by the actual student council, they seem to find pleasure and/or sexual satisfaction in punishing the boys for little to no reason. They seem to think themselves Champions of women's rights but they completely demolish human rights with the prison school system and their poor to perverse attitudes towards the guys. Why? Because they peeped? This should warrant a Teacher/Parents meeting but for the sake of this manga's perverted plot, the writer must turn these ladies into bitter misandrists. Not to mention their hypocricy. Meiko is a prime example of that. She claims she is against perverted acts like the rest but blatantly keeps tormenting the boys in erotic ways, like in the beginning where she sat on one of the boys face and whipping the other. The artist knows it's done on purpose.
Enjoyment - 1 - Honestly with so much fetish fuel, it's just too gross to me. The characters and plot is too messed up. I am aware from fans that I've conversed with that this is done for parodic purposes but for me there is a line between a parody a pure debauchery.
Overall - 1 - I don't think I need to write much more. This pretty much represents the viewpoint of why some particual otakus might have reasons to drop the manga (and therefore the anime). It's not for everyone and the actual fans can enjoy it as much as they want. This review has been on an absolute individual basis though I do hope that there might be some other people who feel like me.
Either way, I feel good for skipping most of this manga. It's just a non-fan, casual observer review.
