• Both are about hardworking women over their thirties who are still virgins and wear glasses (that's relevant). • Both main characters get involved in a love triangle with a guy around their age with malicious look and a rather round-eyed younger fellow. • Both main characters lose their memories in some way. I think Love Rerun is better judging by what I've read from Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu., but Tanokura Yuuto, from the latter series, is the most worthy character amongst all here.

These are two of my favorite mangas ever. What these two have in common may be what actually repels people from reading them: female main characters are liars who don't really measure the consequences for their acts and are really naive. Although, Liar x Liar takes place in a university, so Minato, the protagonist of that series, is more mature than Erika, who stars in Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji. The boys aren't really similar, except for being handsome, but you can find that in pretty much every shoujo manga. Even still, I could say they aren't really who they appear to be and that impacts their future love partners in some way. Both are so extremely funny, each in their own way. In Liar x Liar, it's more frequent for the protagonists' lies to create a comical scenario, but Ookami Shoujo also has moments like that in the beginning. If you weren't bothered by Erika's lies, then I believe you can endure Minato's, which are more reasonable, in my point of view. Liar x Liar is a good manga, but I'm afraid it's not for everyone. And vice-versa (I just believe that, since Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji is more popular, more people must have read it)!

• In both series, the main characters do not express their feelings honestly, but put up an act of intolerance towards one another. • Both are very funny — precisely because of the main characters' tireless effort of pretending they do not like eachother. • Both female leads are highschoolers and notably younger than the male leads.
