The story picks up some time after Ghost in the shell. The exact events leading up to Innocence are left in obscurity. What we do know is that after Kusanagi's existential meltdown. Our new star, burly biomechanical Batou (Kusanagi's former partner), investigates a series of murders caused by malfunctioning androids. As Batou digs deeper into this mystery, he slowly begins to uncover a conspiracy and the shocking identity of the source of these malfunctions is eventually revealed.
Art & Animation: 10/10
a large part of Innocence's appeal is in its appearance. The film is made of pure gorgeous. The characters are smoothly and realistically animated (particularly striking
...
is a touching scene between Batou and his adorable Basset Hound). The art direction is much more dynamic, with the drab, grey, metallic world occasionally overflowing with brilliant explosions of color and texture at very well-timed intervals. All said this is probably one of the most beautiful animated features you'll ever see.
Sound: 10/10
This is one of those anime that occasionally make you forget you’re watching animation. Due to the phenomenal voice acting. Richard Epcar delivers a great performance as Batou. Other voice acting veterans, such as Crispen Freeman and Mary McGlynn, provide a very strong supporting cast. Topping off the gripping aural experience is a moody yet adequately subtle soundtrack by legendary composer Kenji Kawai.
Story: 9/10
Similar to Ghost in the Shell, in Innocence I liked the plot about robots having a ghost (soul) inside them, and the exciting, mysterious feel they give in typical cyberpunk detective stories. but unlike the first movie the characters now spends less time discussing philosophy and more time interacting with each other, making the story simpler and more understandable-
Character: 8/10
the change in perspective from the brooding, preachy Kusanagi of the first Ghost in the Shell to the much more likable and down-to-earth Batou, his interactions with Togusa, the other characters in the story, and even with himself seem much more sincere and come from a place easier to relate to.
Enjoyment: 8/10
Compared to its predecessor Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence spends less time trying to impress and more time being a good movie, with simpler story, great sound & beautiful animations, it certainly is entertaining.
Overall: 9/10
Innocence is about as close to a Hollywood blockbuster as anime will ever get, and I highly recommend it to just about anyone providing that you’ve seen the original or at least understand what it’s all about.

Join the "Scrapped Princess" Pacifica, her wise-cracking brother Shannon, and her sweet, innocent, yet dangerously powerful sister Raquel on their covert journey to find safe haven.
Story: 8/10
While Scrapped Princess has what can be called a traditional story, it takes some very untraditional twists and turns. There is a lot of emotion here as we watch Pacifica buckle under the pressure of having this existence thrust upon her, being hunted down like an animal for reasons she is not even certain of.
Art & Animation: 8/10
Scrapped Princess was animated by Bones, so it goes without saying that it looks beautiful. Though the show is a bit older
...
than the similar-looking Fullmetal Alchemist¸Scrapped Princess far exceeds it in terms of animation and artwork. There are no "soft-spots" where the animators were slacking off. Every episode looks as beautiful as the last, and even as it approaches 13 years mark, it still remains one of the more beautiful TV animes I have seen.
Sound: 8/10
Composer Hikaru Nanase (Noein, Zone of the Enders, Gravion) provides her usual fare; a very competent, sweeping, and fitting orchestral soundtrack. There are quite a few standout pieces here and there, and overall, the music encapsulates the scenery very well, but some of it is much the same of what you would expect in your average RPG video game rather than series such as this. The opening and ending themes for the show are very fitting, with a nice Celtic vibe and especially with the latter, beautifully sung lyrics.
Character: 9/10
The interactions between Pacifica and the other characters are very sincere, and are the centerpiece of the show. In particular are some of the more candid moments between Pacifica and Shannon, whom are easily the two most well-constructed characters in the show.
Enjoyment: 8/10
As a high fantasy fan, I really enjoyed the show, even though I admit it has slow moving plot, theres always something interesting happening that keep you to continue watching it, Heck I've watched this series 3 times already both in Dubbed and Subbed versions, While there is nothing wrong with the Japanese voice cast, the English voice acting in Scrapped Princess is some of the finest voice work I have ever heard.
Overall: 8/10
What you have here is an excellent show with excellent pacing and excellent writing. Not only is it one of the finest examples of a fantasy anime, it is one of the best I have ever seen in all my years of anime watching. There is a perfect balance between drama and comedy, and the transitions between the two are smooth and well-executed. If you have any love for shows like The Slayers or Lodoss, Scrapped Princess is an absolute must-see. Even if not, Scrapped Princess is more than worth a look.

In the world of Claymore, humans are hunted by creatures called “Yoma”, which possess the bodies of humans and use them to infiltrate society. some times they will shed their human shells and become monsters that no mortal man can stand up against. To combat this an organization is created which employs specialized warriors known as “Claymores”; young, beautiful women who have been imbued with the blood of the Yoma.
Story: 7/10
One of the things I enjoyed most about Claymore’s story is how it utilized women. Unlike most anime (and most forms of entertainment in general), the women in Claymore are not presented in a sexual
...
manner. While attractive, they maintain an almost sexless air about them, and at least on the surface, they seem not to be preoccupied with romance or the pleasures of the flesh. No skimpy outfits, no watermelon tits, no naked bathing scenes. The Claymores are just badasses who kill things, and do so without constantly reminding you that they are women. In stark contrast, the men in Claymore are all virtually helpless. I feel that this is a nice and much needed role reversal for anime.
Art & Animation: 8/10
On the technical side of things, Claymore is equally impressive. As a Madhouse production, you are pretty much guaranteed top notch animation. The show remains consistently smooth throughout its run, with perhaps a bit of emphasis placed on the fight scenes. What really sells the presentation, however, is the art style. The shading, lighting, and use of color work well in making Claymore as fittingly dark and dreary as possible. Being based on a beautiful graphic novel-quality manga, Claymore had big shoes to fill in terms of its visuals, and it completely achieves success here by capturing the look of the manga perfectly.
Sound: 7/10
Another thing that carries Claymore along is its great music, a mix of haunting instrumental pieces and visceral metal. Some of the themes here are very memorable, particularly the incredible ending song, Danzai no Hana ~Guilty Sky~, a symphonic rock hybrid with beautiful lyrics.
Character: 8/10
Claymore is great low-fantasy at its finest. The bulk of the show consists of Clare traveling from one Yoma battle to the next, but there are some great introspective explorations of the characters, most notably Clare. When we begin, Clare is frigid and emotionless. But through her interactions with Raki and her encounters with other Claymores and Yoma, specifically the transcendent Yoma known as “Awakened Beings” and her increasing knowledge of the relationship between all of these elements, Clare begins to change rather dynamically.
Enjoyment: 8/10
However, as nice as the story is, Claymore is foremost an action show. The fight scenes are the core of the show, and if you are not a big fan of action, gore and the staple “technique-talk” of shonen anime, there is a good chance that Claymore will not tickle your fancy. But if you do appreciate amazing fight scenes when you see them, Claymore will be absolute bliss. You will be hard pressed to find a show more violent and brutal. Even Berserk does not compare. Hell, even Hokuto no Ken does not quite elicit the same cringes that Claymore gave me. As much as I am a fan of character development and great narrative, I would be lying if I said the fight scenes in Claymore did not fill me with boyish glee.
Overall: 8/10
Claymore is a great show, but it is not for everyone. If you are into more poignant stuff and are not enamored by fight scenes, you may want to pass up Claymore and watch Berserk instead. But if you love action and brutality, Claymore just might be your ticket to a great time. In all, it is one of the best all-out action/fantasy shows I have seen in a long time.

Set in a world where history has taken a slightly different course from the one we’re familiar with, K follows the story of a young boy whose life is caught in a psychic war between seven kings.
Storyline & Plot: 7/10
I like the plot about the king fighting another king and only king can kill a king is so cool. Its like having some special ritual power or something. One thing to note about the plot is that they let shit things happened first before explaining. Although they didn’t really make it exciting and mysterious like other anime, it still explain the event fully and clearly
...
for everyone. The storyline isn’t that rush at all, as season 2 will be airing this October, So the story still goes on.
Art & Character Design: 8/10
The animation is simply stunning, if you remember the scene where Yata in his skateboard chasing Yashiro around the streets of Tokyo. The CGI effect for that part was amazing, you wouldn’t feel it unless you watched it in either HD or HQ. Likewise for the character design, I like the way they design their character where they are mature looking and looks like a character that you would see in a proper and serious anime.
Entertainment & Execution: 7/10
It was definitely entertaining as it shown some cool fighting scene and chasing scene. It wasn’t that exciting as you already have a feeling what’s coming next. That’s something that will kill your mood for entertainment. But still, the execution of the story is the one that bring this segment into having a high score. The execution of the story was done perfectly, you don’t feel confusing even if they skip plots and explain all of it later. Not many anime can pull that off successfully.
Music: 8/10
Not bad at least for the opening title sang by Angela. the original soundtracks for this anime is probaby one of my favorites so far.
Overall: 7,5/10
This anime is definitely light and entertaining to watch, it has a manly tone for me, although it does attracts a following in the BL communities, Since season 2 is going to come out, I am going to wait for it. I can’t wait for them to introduce the other kings and see more naked Neko in action. The animation and music quality is superb and they should keep it that way. For people out there who had not watched this yet, you should give it a try.
