While putting down the scores for this Review, I put down 10 for story and yet 1 for Enjoyment. This simple setence will make you know how I feel about Uzumaki.
Uzumaki is about a cursed town which strange events happen that center around spirals...and that's about as far as I can go without confusing you into a complete recluse. Sure I could mention the snail people and the man who bend himself into a spiral in the first chapter, but then again I would be ruining all the best points now.
The Story above is probably a unique in it's way to draw you deeper
...
and deeper in. The first and second volume are almost like building blocks for the spiral that will draw you in at the third volume.
However, once you get to the end, you will instantly feel...what's the word I am looking for?
Oh yeah, Utterly disapointed!
To say I grew at least attached to the people of the town was understatement, I honestly wished that they would get things back to normal...but here's a spoiler for ya.
They Don't. They all die at the end, turned into stone and wrapped around each other in spirals, waiting for the next sucker to decide "Lets built a Town here!".
==============Segway here=============
But then again, my disappointment could be from Japanese unique horror storytelling.
Whenever you watch American Horror, don't you sort of root for the monster instead of the main hero? Sure you do! Because you don't feel connected to the Hero in any way. He keeps doing incredibly stupid things for no reason other then to waste our time for a hour and a half.
However, When you watch Japanese Horror, You will get sucked in and will be constantly rooting for the Hero's, because they are normal people fighting against what use to be normal people! Ghost in Japan usually are people who died horribly in the hands of evil people, so they become ghosts and haunt others for all eternity, trapping anyone that comes close to the same fate.
And that's what happens in Uzumaki. Anyone who enters the town is doomed to be trapped into the town...trapped for all enternity in a endless torture!
*sigh*
Thats what a true horror story is. Not the threat of Death, but the threat of PAIN.
================================
The Art is okay, not too special or anything like that. Except when things are put into a spiral...it suddenly becomes weird and unfocused, feeling nasuating and truly wondering when it will end.
Overall, this is a good read if your in the mood for something scary and horrible.
However, if your in a down ridden deppression with anxiety about death and blindness...you should go watch naruto instead.

When I was looking for something to review on MAL(My Anime List), I decided to review deathnote just to spite all the people who are saying its a masterpeice and deserves to be part of everyones life.
And sadly, I have to agree that this series is a superb example of what Anime can do.
The premise follows the two examples of Shonen by giving a young man(Light, a inteligent man mind you) A incredible power that only he possesses(The Death note, a book where if you write the name of someone while thinking of their face, that person will die) and he wants to become
...
the top of his society(Where Light wants to kill all the criminals in the world and rule as the new god).
But thats where the similarites end thankfully. When the Deathnote is explained I would be as smug as Light. How can anyone connect him with a death of a person he never met, he wasn't even near them, and their is no explanation for their demise? This is where we introduce, L.
L, a famous dectective who never shows his face or real name to anybody, decides to take up the case of all the deaths happening and suprisingly tracks down all of the deaths to a specific city in Japan and determines that the killer is a student...all within 4 episodes.
You hear that sound? Those are the chess peices at work. L at one end, and Light at the other. If either of them reveals their true identity, they will be killed within moments. But each of them must take one gamble after another to figure out what their identies are.
The most perfect example of this is where L goes to the graduation cermony of Light(even knowing that all the killer needs is a face and name, which L provided before) and whispers to Light this: "I am L."
The Shock that came from it amazed me so much that I had to pause my video to think it over. The thought of people actually stopping a anime just to ponder why the F#CK did that character say that is usaully from a bad dub, not from such a clear and truly shocking development.
I continued on to realize that L was trying to trick Light; If L were to die within those few days of meeting Light, Light was to be suspected and immetialy called the killer. And their is also that L could have used a fake name and Light might accidently kill the famous actor that has that fake name, thus proving he is the killer!
This Cat and Mouse tatic is continued even farther, and we get to see each of the characters brilliance and sheer cunning.
But Here is the kick...I immetiatly stopped watching the anime at episode 25.
And if your a fan of the series, you will know which moment I stopped at.
I later went on Wikipedia( the bastard I am) and found out that to replace a certain element of the show, we get two kittens after the Cat left. It's not the same as before and will certainly will not be the same for me.
The Opening soundtrack is just loud and unbearably deppressing for my tastes, the animation was good for a shonen, and the character development...not so much.
No matter what I said above, Light will still remain the bastard child of Jesus Christ striking down judgment on others that already got whats coming to them. But I am a L person just solely for the fact that L develops a sort of one sided bond to Light that makes me want to kill Light with a hatchet.
In conclusion: Death note is a strikingly good example of a cat and mouse game, with instantly mind turning moments and shocks and smiles that make you want to jump up and down.
My advice: watch the series on Youtube. the series twists and turns will make you stay up all night.

To say that I was bored when I typed Naruto into Youtube would be a little understated. I have been watching Keroro Gunso For a whole week, my computer was just fixed( watched Keroro Gunso on the PS3 web browser), and I have no real friends would make me completely bored out of my skull when I typed in Naruto…even though I never regretted it.
Naruto follows the plot of every single Shonen to date. A Young man has something that no one else has, he begins to use the thing to fight his way to the top of his imaginary society, and he will
...
be fighting off against his best friend or family members soon. In this Anime’s Case, Naruto has a demon, he uses it’s chakra(spiritual energy if I am right) to get his way to become the leader(Hokage) of his Ninja Village.
While watching the first episode, I was honestly surprised to find the Japanese voices to be a bit annoying, so I switched to the Dubbed version and even was more surprised to find I actually liked it. The voices fit the characters well(But some of the characters sound a little too old for their age) and the script wasn’t half bad and it wasn’t censored so much that to explain the dead bodies, they say their ‘sleeping’.
The storyline is pretty much standard, but it picks up enough after the first story arc and I get pulled in after the rookie 9 meet for the first time. That takes…20 episodes.
You might be asking why I stayed in that long if the story was standard fare. And I will say because the characters are incredibly easy to relate to and even easier to like, if not love.
Naruto is pretty interesting as a main character in his own little way, and Sasuke can probably make all the girls in the world rise up and cheer if he just kisses Naruto again, and Sakura…well…doesn’t do anything but otherwise she stays out of the way most of the time and is interesting in her own way.
The other main character is Kakashi, the most kickass teacher in the whole F’in world. He is mysterious and yet not moody, He is incredibly powerful but not arrogant, he has a great sense of humor without trying too hard. In fact, You could have given the entire series to Kakashi and he would probably have the same(if not better) success as naruto.
The supporting characters are just as good, and all of them have a great back story and deserve to have the praise and fan fiction they get and more.
But every series has it’s downfalls for people…and for some it’s worth not watching a great anime.
The first problem(complaint) is that Naruto is filled with Fillers. And I honestly say that the popularity of Naruto thrives on Fillers. To point out why I think that, lets compare two animes that are known for Fillers.
Dragon Ball Z
A huge fight at the beginning…and then we wait the entire season for at least something like that to happen again. Meanwhile, We get to train! And Train some more! And we get to watch Goku learn two boring moves and when he finally uses them, they are nothing but wimpy when used on the two enemies where only ONE was damaged.
Naruto
The Fillers show more of the character themselves and I can’t distinguish one filler episode from just a regular one. Naruto has fillers filled with character development that I love and cherish(Except for that kid in episode 2, I smiled when he cried at the Hokage funeral =) )
The Second problem is that Naruto has stereotypical characters. I admit, many of the characters that Fans like all have some sort of troubled past or they watched their entire village get slaughtered(WINK). But Yet again, I am not picky and all the characters are stereotypical in a way that isn’t obvious as some other animes.
The Third problem is that Naruto is copying off from other anime, which I find silly because Anime is always the same really. In fact, most of the anime you find will look incredibly similar story wise. But Anime is special in that the characters are always new and fresh and can easily be related to. Naruto is no exception.
The Fourth and final problem is the flashbacks, and I honestly can say that you will get a flashback about every 5 to 10 minutes! And the flashbacks always focus on what happened in the last episode. There is a point where we already have gotten five different aknoledgments from the characters of what happened, we need a flashback on what just happened.
In short, Naruto is a anime that you will enjoy if you are open minded and want something new. You won’t like it if your complaining about the characters jumpsuit and you don't like Ninjas.
That means your a Pirate guy right?

This show was not the first I watched in sub, but it was the first where I didn't have the mute button on it.
Back when I was 13, I thought all anime was bad( From a bad childhood exerience -_-) and was slowly getting use to it. I finally watched the whole series of Cardcaptors Sub while it was muted. But I then went on Wikipedia and Found a article to Kerero Gunsou. So I thought why not, and dived right in...and found everything to be great!
The almost simple plot-invaders come to conquer earth but screw up-is something you might expect from a bad child's
...
movie from the 90's, but this is quickly overcome by the fact that Sgt.Kerero is a Anime/Gunpla(sorry if not correct term)/Manga Otaku in heart. Quickly, we meet the fellow Kerero platoon, which my Favorite is Tamama; A cute as can be member who if angered, will blast you away into another dimenson.
The Characters all are easily likable and you can relate to each of them. From the Overbearing but motherly Natsumi, to the evil and yet never lying Kururu; from the Loyal yet always overlooked Dororo, to the friendly and clueless fuyuki. I love every one of them ^^
The Music is pretty good, but in this Show's essence is for Kids, and it took me a little while for me to stop holding the mute button on the intro and ending songs, but when I did I shall never stop humming along.
However, the biggest problem/Ace in the hole is that the show frequantly makes refrences to anime and manga's that only good old anime fans will get. But However I would like to point out that it making refrence's to old anime is what makes it a almost secret love of fans:that people won't go and screw with it like SOME series I could name!
Finding the Series again after 2 years awakens a special place in my heart for the Keroro Platoon; I am now ready to watch more of the antics on Veoh ^^ If you like cute,Funny, and Smart, you will LOVE this series
(p.s. While writing this down, I have searched on Deviant art for some Tamama art to sigh over, when I found this:http://LovuDovu-Desu.deviantart.com/art/KERORO-X-TAMAMA-119798732
Wow, I am suprise I found this cute O-e. I better get in Line for my Shirt and Cat ears)
(Double P.S. I mispelled Keroro wrong in this article)

Has anyone never watched this series?
The Series is probably the best example of Nostalgia. Even though now most of us review the bad dubbing, the bad art, and repetitive story with distaste, We still hide in closests watching the DVD Box set of the first season.
I like the series because it introduced me to the basic ideas of Anime, made me play the video game series(as it was intended to be used) and old pictures I drew as a Kid show early attempts at drawing pikachu, showing that Pokemon influenced me to become a artist.
The bad thing about the Anime is that
...
I, not the series, grew up. I still cringe at some of the bad dubbing and the theme song.
I still secretly watched the series (yes, even the later seasons) and still try to guess on 'whos that pokemon' in the first season.
Its one of my favorite Animes I ever watched no matter what anyone says, And yet I still watch Pokemon abridged by Master WGS to laugh at the crappyness.
Best of both worlds right?

Now, I know that when I was looking through Manga fox and found Boy Alice in Wonderland, I knew I would expect a cheap smut walk through. But I was in the mood for things like that so I decided to hop in and enjoy. Until I realise I had just hopped onto the Manga version of the Titanic!
The First Chapter seemed pretty good, and like the titantic I thought it would be nigh unsinkable. The second chapter proved the same until I got to the third. Where we strike the Iceberg.
Suddenly the Character Boy Alice is kidnapped by a Erotic wolf who keeps having
...
mood swings and telling the character that the Prince is dead and suddenly the Prince comes back and makes the Boy Alice, who was in the last chapter hating him, suddenly fall in love and be peachy about it till the wolf reveals himself to be the prince and talks about some ritual!(pant pant)
And yet I continued reading, intrigued on how they can dig out of this. But then the 4 chapter flips out of it and goes to boy alice Marrying the prince as if nothing in the past 3 chapters happened. Then it switched to a mermaid setting, then to the boy alice dressing up as Nurse and giving the Prince a blowjob or something, and Alice finally turning into a slave, getting rescued by the prince, and through all this each chapter they begin with no recollection of ether of them whats so over!!!!!
The thought that this mess was released professionaly amazes me. The Artwork was the only excuse for me to keep reading on as I desperatly try to get my mind off the Tits the boy alice is showing like a flag at half mast.
Overall, the thing could have been quiant but it suddenly became muddled by WTF moments, no etory connection at all, and Characters who make you want to eat their brains out for saying such stupid things.
