In both cases the show is focused in a cast compounded by kids in a dark adventure where the odds seems to be against them. I think Neverland is probably going to be a lot more "tamed/light" compared to Ima soko ni iru boku.

Both shows are about kids in a dark setting where they are in a situation without much hope. In both shows the kids seem to face something similar to aliens or mosters but in a totally different way.

Both shows are like an adventure, they have a great and unpredictable plot, and they have a lot of comedy. The cast it's HUGE but all the characters are interesting and get some kind of development. Both can get gory sometimes. Both have a meh beginning but they pick up really fast and it seems like out of nowhere. And they have a good amount of action.

Both shows can be considered comedies but they have real plots, tho in city hunter is in an episodic format. The MCs have a partner and they have a strong relationship. Both shows have great OPs and EDs. They have a kind of adventure feeling that really makes you want more. The supporting cast it's interesting. Both have a good amount of action scenes. Both MCs are badass af and "too cool for school" XD

Despite being totally different genres they have a lot in common. 1- Both shows have a lot of comedy despite having serious plot or moments. 2- The male MC have a female partner and their relationships are pretty similar in both shows. 3- The MCs are a lazy trolls that loves to fool around (tho they do it in different ways) and their partners push them around to do stuff. 4- The "couples" have great chemistry. 5- Both partners of the MCs are kinda tsundere. 6- The supporting cast is interesting and likeable. 7- Character development it's important in both show. 8- Despite their personalities both MCs tend to close their hearts and they play dumb towards the feelings of their partners. 9- Both shows have action scenes.
