A quick summary of 86 is: Everything said in Nyuw's view is some of the most objectively tryhard, pseudo intellectual, contrarian bullshit you'll ever read, and that is fully intentional. 86 is nigh exactly the opposite of everything said there, said view is evidently meant to illicit a reaction and feign some faux elitism of literature. So if you want to know what the series doesn't flop on, read that, or if you desire to save yourself some brain cells and valuable time, don't read that and just watch the series instead. If you liked series like Vivy or Violet Evergarden you'll most likely enjoy
...
86 a great deal.

Im not gonna write a long review on this 20 minute "masterpiece", id like to be satirical but plenty others already beat me on that here. So lemme just cut straight to the chase:
Story? Why do we need a story when we have aliens killing people! Thats kinda what goes on here, and the "plot twist" (not sure if you can have a plot twist without any real plot tho *shrugs*) is the same weve seen 100 times but poorly executed and forced in there to make it seem like if the story had meaning.
The art seems like the scrapped out CG's out of Bible
...
Black visual novels.
Sound? Possibly worst ive heard, prots voice in the MARS suit was nearly inaudible and the dialogues where bland or forced pretty much every time someone bothered to say something. Kudos to those epic timeless lines of girl #2 screaming the prots name like 3 times and the last one lasting like 5 seconds straight, and of course, the priceless favorite from the doctors reminding us that the girl who had her head blown off had no hope.
Characters... well, we couldnt expect that much character development from less than 20 minutes, but oh my was the few minutes we got of character development horrible.
Enjoyment factor is actually decent, this is a "so bad its good" type of thing. Well, not really, but its funny to watch through at least once, so ironically I do recomend watching it just once. Mostly for that priceless scene with the doctor and the headless chick.
However, as an actual product this is the worst made anime I have ever seen. Honestly, theres nothing praise worthy or even reedemable in this mess except maybe the design of the prots MARS suit looking kinda cool. Thats the only thing in this that might not want to make you gouge your eyes out, seriously.

Well, here comes my 3rd review, okay, lets start.
Ushio and Tora is the tale about a boy who finds a mystical object which is called the beast spear. Being under attack by youkai he needs a way to be able to ward them off, however an imposing youkai named Tora is trapped along the spear. Needing each others the 2 strike a deal.
This mismatched team ends up facing evil entities across Japan since the beast spear is made for that purpose.
The story is simple, but good, it is quite periodical, facing a new enemy every couple chapters like most old school stories. However, behind that
...
lies a much larger scheme that starts being setup since early in the serie. Ultimately I can say Ushio and Tora has one of the most epic final arcs ive read, being extremely extense and dramatic. The backstories of certain characters are unexpectedly emotional and extremely well portrayed. About half the manga though is just short arcs, the longer more important arcs dont start till about midway. Even then, the shorter arcs are still quite enjoyable.
The series is also quite fond of its gags, Tora is a walking comedy trope due to his lack of knoledge of modern lifestyle. The characters are somewhat relatable, most are your average middle or high school students, the evil spirits are evil spirits, nothing out of the ordinary. Ushio is a cheerful kid with some problems like all, but with guts, maybe a little too many given with what he's dealing with but its pretty understandable given his circumstances. If anything, Tora steals the spotlight from others a good deal of the serie.
Only slight complaint would be the art, but it potrays the authors intentions pretty accurately so its fine.
At the end I consider this a classic, a must read for any fan of old school or supernatural manga. Definetely one of my favorites out of the 200+ manga ive read/am reading.

I gotta admit that im surprised Bastard!! doesnt have many reviews since its a pretty well known manga. I am a Bastard!! fan so ill try to impartially explain why I find it such a good series.
1st of all, if you are to read Bastard!! you are either an adult or be prepared to see adult content. Because B!! is filled with it. Bastard!! is the story of Dark Schneider, the strongest dark wizard in the world which was sealed 15 years ago and is now brought back to face off against his former allies who are trying to ressurrect a God of destruction called
...
Anthrax. That's all im writting about the actual story, since it has a lot of twists, and good twists actually, far better than the generic storyline shonen had back in those days. The story starts a bit slow like most shonens, but it picks up and is very well executed. The art is the same, it starts with usual old school shonen manga art, but it ends up as one of the best art you can find in manga. The characters... are quite special, DS is an arrogant bastard just as the title suggests, which actually helps a lot the story since he always makes the situation comical and entertaining. Most of the rest of the chars are also quite defined and quite likeable as well, like Gara, Arshes Nei, Kal Su, etc.
The fights in the serie... they start as your stereotypical shonen as well, but it escalates eventually into godly lvls.
The story however is heavily filled with adult content after it enters the Law of corruption arc, so you gotta be ready to see a few graphic details as I already mentioned, DS is as perverted as the author himself.
The heavy downside is that the series update schedule is irregular due to the authors health condition. However if you can stand that and want a good fighting serie, with funny and well defined characters and an actually good plot, then I definetely recomend Bastard!!
Fun fact: The author is a fan of heavy metal, so the serie is filled with references of said music genre.

Okay, my 1st time writting a review in this page, and ill start with a simplistic comment: Bayonetta fans, dont overhype yourselves in expectations, the trailers are better than 90% of the movie.
I'll be concise. It's a watchable movie, in no way absolutely awful, but it is definetely nothing special.
The story is what you already know from the games, but its development is somewhat convulted and rushed as you might expect from a game that has some actual plot adapted into a movie. The scrips are bland, Bayonetta is Bayonetta, and the rest of the chars are just "there" 90% of the time, theres
...
nothing noteworthy about them. Terrible villain and development for the villain.
The art ranged from orgasmic, to above average but sometimes it dropped to pretty bad, I have no idea why some frames where so neglected by the artists, but overall the art is pretty good. The sound effects are decent but the music imho, is horrible. They seemed to try and make a game soundtrack instead of a movie soundtrack, and it wasnt pulled off adequately.
You'll somewhat enjoy the movie as a Bayonetta fan, but likely feel very dissapointed in some other regards, if you like the character or wanna kill time and are interested then watch the movie, all youll be seeing the movie for is Bayonetta.
