wooser voice was the best part
story 3/10:
life of an artist who start from the very ground and reach their first competition, which is a pretty normal situation, they almost reach the top the first time they try. You can imagine how many stories starts like that.
Then they improve their skills, give their best and make a good competition, aaaaaand that's all.
art 8/10
very good in fact, not as perfect as ghibli, but you can tell they put a lot of work in this part, movement, colors, they make look the characters very real when they are in scene

japanese people for story and english people for songs... in english.
Bones, can you please just use japanese songs so the main characters can sing and one can't be distracted hearing a different voice for only the singing part?

when the characters and story are ignored, the songs are actually good. You can just leave the anime playing in low volume in the background or in other room and raise the volume the few times they sing

in resume, this anime is a mix between 20% japanese culture: language and animation, and 80% swj netflix usa ready culture: plot, characters, story.
as i'm watching, this is not the classical anime with a story using tsundere, yandere, *dere, moe, and others psychological pathologies, and that's why the story doesn't "feel" japanese. This looks more like an animation based on some sort of american comic where they must use all sort of personalities required to be approved by netflix:
