Story - Basically the story is about a young teen girl named Atusko that is in a time of where magic is in decline and looked down upon she is trying her best to become the greatest witch she can by trying to follow through the footsteps of her idol and along the way of learning and making mistakes she makes her own path to becoming that.
charterers - there are four main charterers Atsuko Kagan, Sucy Manbavaran,Lotte Yansson, and Diana Cavendish, as for backstory there's very little in various episodes where you find something through words and such not much of them showing there back

stories from what we know Atsuko is from a non magic family and got into the school due to a low budget, Sucy's background is a bit cloudy but we know she's dark and loves to collect deadly things poisons, mushrooms, and varies other potion ingredients, as for her experiments and such, Lotte is like your generic glasses character she has deep feelings and loves to read She also comes from a magic family that owns a magic shop cafe, Diana, is a top student and the rival of Atusko she also comes from a high-class magic family.
Animation- the animation its self keeps the anime refreshing and feels lively throughout every episode it makes you feel very warm inside and other times a bit dark only because it's got a dip of cuteness inside that keeps it from being so, the animation truly makes this magic anime stand out for sure and will keep you watching even if it gets a bit dry in some episodes.
Voice acting - honestly the sub seems to be the best fit it makes the cute world fit altogether better than the dub, and the dub sounds more like a cartoon as to a true anime to me if I didn't know better I would think this is something off of cartoon network but still varies person to person.
Music/sound effects - the music used in all the episodes are very magic themed and very well fitting where ever they put it in, the theme is so cute like this shows animation as for the sound effects they are truly great and make everything more lively from the wind when they are on their broomsticks to the sound of there magic wands waving to make spells.
The rating - rating this is really hard basically from everything seen in the story it feels very generic but the way they did the episodes makes it feel better every episode is like it's own little short with a couple glimpses at that true story there trying to tell along the way a lot of the time the anime can lose its cuteness and feel like it's on repeat but when the music and actors come out it's really good but what really makes it stand out is the great animation they decided to use it really turns this thing into a true beauty and makes it stand out by far and makes up for the non creativeness used in this anime i truly feel like this is a 7/10 even though it's just the story line that comes out as the biggest mistake but what really bugs me is we don't get to see a lot from the little to none backstory we want to know more about before all four got into the school and how being a witch really affected them as a child but still it's not too late for that as for season two starts in October.
p.s this is my first review on here and I hope to do more in the future I hope it helps you to choose the right anime to watch
