Having finished the story, I found it disappointing in some ways, but it wasn’t without its strengths. While the overall message felt weak and the resolution lacked impact, the main character’s growth stood out and carried the story.
The plot centers on the protagonist learning from their mistakes and striving to become a better person. This journey of self-reflection was handled well, showing genuine change and making their development the most compelling part of the webtoon. However, the execution of other elements didn’t support this growth effectively. Instead of holding the protagonist fully accountable, the story shifts blame onto their victims once the power dynamics change.
...
This approach made it feel like the narrative was trying too hard to soften the audience’s perception of the protagonist, even going as far as framing a car crash incident in a way that downplays their actions by making the run and hit victim a asshole.
The romance subplot also felt unnecessary and frustrating. The dynamic between the main character, their boyfriend, and the bullying victim felt forced and distracted from the more meaningful parts of the story. It added drama, but not in a way that felt satisfying since the bully victim got shafted in the end.
Despite these issues, the protagonist’s personal growth was a saving grace. Their transformation felt genuine and earned, and it was engaging enough to keep the story moving forward. While the webtoon had its flaws, the strength of the character’s development made it worth finishing, even if the overall experience wasn’t as impactful as it could have been.

Killing Bites is an enjoyable “turn your brain off” manga that I genuinely had fun reading. For the most part, I liked the majority of it, especially the characters introduced early on and those who appeared later. Hitomi and Nomoto stood out the most for me their dynamic was the heart of the story and kept me engaged throughout.
However, the recent arcs introduced new many new characters and Hitomi and Nomoto were pushed to the background, which was disappointing. While a few of the newcomers had compelling stories, the majority felt bland, serving little purpose beyond fan service. But then again, considering this is an
...
ecchi manga, it’s hard to complain too much about that.
As for the fights, most were entertaining, but I often questioned the need for overly detailed explanations of simple actions. What could have been straightforward sequences frequently devolved into lengthy, encyclopedia-style breakdowns of the characters’ abilities. This approach, while occasionally insightful, felt excessive and repetitive, as if the author was padding the chapters to meet a page quota.
This approach often killed the momentum of the fights and diminished my overall enjoyment of them. The excessive explanations disrupted the pacing, making otherwise thrilling moments feel drawn out and less impactful.
As for the ecchi elements, they’re fairly decent the female characters are well-proportioned and “sexy,” in my opinion. For an ecchi manga, it definitely meets the standard, though sometimes at the expense of the story. However, there are far too many rape bait scenes, which feel like a cheap and lazy way to create erotic tension. These moments often come across as gratuitous and over-the-top. I believe the author could have achieved a similar effect with more subtle and tasteful execution, which would have better balanced the story’s tone.
Overall, I would give the manga a 6/10. While it offers some enjoyable moments and entertaining fights, the pacing issues, excessive explanations, and overuse of certain ecchi tropes hold it back from being truly standout. Still, it’s a fun read if you go in with the right expectations.

This manga had so much potential. The beginning immediately draws you in, but from the midpoint onward, it steadily declines to the point of frustration.
The initial chapters are incredibly compelling, focusing on the main character’s transition from a human to a vampire. The portrayal of his personal struggles and gradual transformation was the heart of the story. The interactions among the main cast were equally captivating, and the romance subplot added depth and emotional resonance.
However, a sudden time skip derails the entire narrative. The story shifts focus to an office romance between the main character’s love interest and a new character, sidelining the protagonist entirely.
...
Every chapter centered on this subplot was infuriating to read. It’s hard to put into words how each new installment made me want to abandon the manga, but I held on, hoping it would eventually return to the main character. Unfortunately, that never happened, as this subplot drags on for 70% of the manga.
This manga is the epitome of “what was the point of all this?” By the end, it feels like the entire journey was meaningless. It’s as if the author tried to make the story deeper than it actually was, lost their way, and ultimately disrespected the audience with a convoluted mess. It truly feels like they decided halfway through to write a completely different story, leaving fans of the original premise disappointed and betrayed.
Overall, I cannot recommend this manga to anyone. Unless you’re looking for frustration and disappointment, it’s best to steer clear.

An intriguing concept for a story, but its execution leaves much to be desired. To use an analogy, it’s not quite a striking “blood red” but more of a dull “shit brown.” The characters, particularly the villains, are excessively edgy, portrayed as psychotic nymphomaniac rapists with virtually no redeeming qualities. This one-dimensional characterization, combined with repetitive arcs surrounding them, makes the narrative feel stagnant and uninspired.
The story leans far too heavily on rape or the constant threat of it as a device to build tension, making the reading experience overwhelmingly draining. At times, its excessive edginess borders on unintentionally comical, undermining any serious tone

it tries to maintain.
One redeeming quality of the story is the humor shared between the main characters, which adds a refreshing lightness contrasting to the over the top edge. The romantic moments between the protagonist and the female cast also stand out, offering genuine emotional depth. Additionally, the most engaging sections are those that slow down to focus on developing the supporting cast, allowing for richer character dynamics and more meaningful interactions.
Overall, the story has its ups and downs, but it’s still an enjoyable read, as the strengths ultimately outweigh its flaws.

This manga’s premise was very interesting and engaging in the initial chapters with the main character being reincarnated as a dragon instead of a human. However after you read past the first couple of chapters it follows the same repeating sequences over and over without any variation which involves boring fights straight out of a rpg game. Also has overly detailed status bars which take over a majority of the pages which makes the panels feel overcrowded. It takes you out of the flow of story. However redeeming qualities of the manga would be the character interactions. If you like cute moments this might be

Deadtube is one of those manga that’s hard to stop reading once you start, but not because it’s good. Quite the opposite—it thrives on shock value, using graphic violence and disturbing themes like rape to unsettle the reader. And while it does succeed in creating discomfort upon first read the repetitive nature of these scenes quickly makes it feel stale. It’s like eating the same meal every day until the taste becomes overwhelming and unpleasant.
The characters in Deadtube are poorly written and lack any real depth or nuance. Most of them are portrayed as unreasonably evil and perverted. This is especially true for the
...
antagonists, who often follow a predictable pattern: they’re introduced as seemingly normal individuals, only to suddenly reveal themselves as psychotic nymphomaniacs with little to no buildup. This same formula repeats itself throughout each arc, becoming so predictable that it feels more like a cliché than a twist.
I could say the same about the main characters as well they don’t undergo any meaningful development and feel flat, following predictable tropes without any real depth. Machiro, the Yandere girlfriend, and Machiya, the weak-willed boyfriend, feel like cheap imitations of the main characters from Mirai Nikki. Despite major events unfolding around them, they receive little to no real character growth, leaving them stagnant and underdeveloped throughout the story.
Each arc follows the same formula: introduce a character who seems like a normal person, only for them to turn out as an evil, sex-obsessed nymphomaniac murderer. Then, Mashiro goes off the rails and ‘saves the day.’ Honestly, you could sum up all the major arcs with that same pattern, and it starts to feel repetitive and predictable after a while.
Overall, I’d rate it a 1 or 2 out of 10. It really lacks any substance or depth. Not that I expected any, but this is a manga you should only read if you’re looking for hardcore porn and excessive gore. Outside of that, it offers no real value.

The story is painfully bland and lacks any real substance. The characters are poorly developed, with the protagonist being especially unlikeable. He feels like he was written by a incel, and his dialogue is filled with creepy one-liners that all women love getting molested. This is not only weird moments but there’s to much to list.
The plot itself is equally disappointing. A key element, the “winged disease,” is introduced but never properly explained or explored, which feels like a missed opportunity, especially given that it seemed poised to play a major role in the narrative. The lack of follow-up on this plot point is
...
frustrating and leaves the story feeling incomplete.
The setting does nothing to improve the experience. The town’s central focus is its “sex slaves/sexworkers”, with almost every woman being a prostitute. This premise, which could have been explored with depth or nuance, instead feels exploitative and shallow.
Overall, I cannot recommend this manga to anyone. The writing is difficult to get through, and the lack of substance in both plot and character development makes it a frustrating read.
