The first few episodes of the new Maou-Sama Retry leave a lot to be desired. I had just finished the original season before I started this one. The recap in the first few episodes was terrible with the change in animation style and a more childish feel. After watching both of the first two episodes I nearly dropped it thinking it was complete trash. However I stuck with it and it got much better. While the animation style is different, once I was invested in the story. I hardly noticed it. Overall the recap is terrible and I can't say I approve of the animation ... style however, the story is still very entertaining.
