This anime is both under-rated, and ove-rated. Under-rated for the story and characters, and over-rated for the superficial things, like being all 3-D CG.
My take on it, after watching all 11 episodes and waiting more than a month to let my emotions settle down, is that the characters and story are strong. Each episode reveals more and more about the story, and since they are only 11 minutes or so long, you can watch all of them "marathon style", but I would advise you not to do so.
Even though they are only 11 minutes long, each episode changes our assumptions and fills in more of
...
the story. Unless you are very alert, you might not process all of the information which is revealed, and thus, think that you were never told important things.
Whilst not going into the details of the plot or story, it was both tragic and comedic, and if you watch carefully, everything important is revealed.
So, overall, this series looks great, has great characters, a great story, and is well presented. It compacts a lot into the short episodes, and the glamor can easily distract you from the substance, but the substance is there, as well.
In addition, there is nothing quite like it... when you actually watch it with an open mind, I am sure you will come to appreciate it as more than the sum of its parts. Highly recommended.

Well, now that we are at the end, I have to say that I loved the previous season of this franchise, but I hate this season of it.
This season was a lot more flash than substance, and had really odd pacing. Even after they explained some things at the end, I still do not accept it. My disbelief was not suspended, it was, rather, enhanced, with each segment of the story.
On the other hand, perhaps it sort of reflects the times. Perhaps attention is drained by flashy graphics and incoherent garbage is dumped into our psyche, where it coheres into a wellspring of instability,
...
contributing to the widespread nature of depression and poor choices.
That sort of "well, sure, a lot of people were harmed because of me but it is okay once I have a few friends, life goes on (for me) and who cares about what I did before, those people were not main characters" attitude is a bit like how we watch the news about how people are prevented from getting an education and then prevent ourselves from getting an education because we wasted all our mental energy watching the news, then worrying about it... but then feel it is okay because we have friends.
Being a serial killer and mass murderer really should never be okay, even in a fantasy setting. There should be at least one person who wants to make the world better, but none of the characters consistently do this. Perhaps we should forgive and forget everything, if we are sure that there has been true change, but there is no evidence that there was such character growth, at all.
Even soldiers and police officers can often have difficulty coming to term with taking lives, which is appropriate. It should be a hard thing to do, even if the enemy deserves it. So to have a story where they really seem not to care about all the casualties, well, I hope that humanity doesn't really think human life is cheap and disposable.
I hope that we care about the innocent people who don't even know what is going on, through no fault of their own, and would gladly help to change things for the better, if given the opportunity.
So, this is one anime that triggered my indignation, and has no redeeming values for me. Even more so because the first series was a lot better, and a lot more hopeful. I keep trying to come up with some excuse for them to do this, but I think they had enough time and budget that it was not a simple pacing error -- the message really seems to be that, if you are with the right crowd, then it doesn't matter how evil you are, how much harm you cause -- you will be fine, and everyone will love you anyhow.
So, for me, worse story ever.

"One cult shy of being a masterpiece"
Some shows are missed out by the mainstream, due to timing, or some marketing factor. Such shows usually get a "cult following" which bring them into the limelight, albeit a very specific limelight which is still somewhat obscure. In fact, as we learn more about the world, the smallness of our own attention field becomes more apparent: we may think that we know bout the mainstream and the obscure, but we really know only a very little of the vastness of everything.
When it comes to anime, though, Chaos Head (who has time for all those exotic spelling alterations) is
...
a rare case of a cult masterpiece without a cult. Yes, some people (such as me) love it, but, instead of putting it on a pedestal, it tends to be put in the shadow of its successor, the much more well known Steins Gate.
This is a bit of a shame, but also a bit to be expected. Whereas Steins Gate takes the viewer away from all plausible reality, into a realm of time travel and world lines, Chaos Head takes us into a mostly plausible perspective of the way "delusions" affect reality, and how technologies and techniques to manipulate the perceptions of others can lead to widespread delusions and other forms of Chaos, which starts in the Head of the promoter but can end up damaging others instead.
Or, it can be fatal to the host that initiated.
Nobody would accuse this anime about being political, but it is very much a satire of how ideologies such a politics, sports, religion, domination, and other mental distortions of reality can cause people to act irrationally... or, alternately, how the human spirit, and a harem of girls, can save the world of any strong individual, even if they happen to be a bit insane with the boredom of life.
On a higher level, it should inspire everyone to learn to write draw. Instead of just mumbling to people who are not there, you could make a commercial product about it, instead, and turn your delusions into money.
The last two episodes are worth re-watching almost daily as they contain the best reversal ever in any show that I have watched, although the significance of it seems to have been missed by even fans of the show.
Despite all of this high praise, I have to admit that hardly anyone will like this show, and those who do, will think of it as just a practice run that they team did before they went onto do Steins Gate.
Who cares about them, though? If you are one of the chosen who understand the power of thought control and internal, intentional, self-arising cohesion, then it is very re-assuring to know that, on some level, so also do successful artists who managed to get funding and create several franchises... so, have hope, be inspired, and keep on bringing your hopes into reality by various forms of effort.
Delusion, Illusion, or Ambition.... what makes the difference?
The Bad:
The last episode drags on a bit, and is quite depressing, in a way.
The Ugly:
Due to the age, budget, and lack of widespread interest, this anime looks worse than anything else the team did afterwards (e.g. Steins Gate, Robotics Notes). Also, the VNs are unlikely to see an official English release, and the franchise is thus practically dead, despite the potential for universal application.

Best viewed as "Episode 11.5", this episode does a lot to flesh out the series, and should not be look at as a standalone, even though that is sort of how it was marketed.
It lets us finally see the mysterious traveling big sister who introduced out protagonist to the classics clubs with her wish that he carry on her tradition. Then it shows some character development as he overcomes his melancholy disposition and comes to a higher social energy level through interaction with the Classics club and reflection.
Also, it stays away from the cliche of excessive fan-service. For better or for worse, it is
...
hardly any more ecchi than the main series. Yes, they are swimsuits but there isn't the over-the-top in-your-face boobage and such like that you would expect from a typical swimsuit episode.
Rather, the characters are true to their nature in the series.
If you are a fan of the main series, then you really should watch this right after #11. It will make so much more sense that way!

Fault!! is an enjoyable 3-episode Hentai story which, while it won't win any awards for originality, still delivers and enjoyable experience which should satisfy those who want some Hentai to watch ... and enjoy ;).
The characters are good, but also a bit average. The story is a pure straight-forward Harem type, with a few twists and kinks due to the characters (quasi-incest, student-teacher, threesomes, cos-play, and other kinks all feature).
They aren't any really extreme hardcore or fetish scenes, and the characters remain consistently portrayed... as all having an inner core which is "activated" by the protagonist to lead them into erotic acts. In
...
that respect, it is a bit repetitive, but there is enough individual variety that, if you look at things more superficially, you would hardly notice.
The Art avoided the usual pitfalls of exaggerating body parts, and although i watched the censored version, I could tell that beneath the mosiac was a great amount of detail.
Despite me not being impressed with some aspects, I only mention these things so you can decide whether to spend your time/money here or elsewhere... there is so much Hentai available, why choose this one?
Well, this is a good "vanilla" Hentai... may not be exotic, but it sure is something you will enjoy watching at least once. It does its job in keeping you interested, without challenging the intellect or giving many surprises. So if you are in the mode for vanilla, stick to this. If not, they are always things like Bible Black ;)

This anime is a good, easy introduction to the Hentai genre of anime. It may not have the best artwork (esp. when compared to classics such as Bible Black), but it is above-average and, I would expect, more accessible to a wider audience.
The focus is on the story and their particular dilemmas, which are made a bit worse by the quirks of the characters involved (I don't want to get into details, as it would spoil the plot).
At only four episodes, there isn't much time to develop the plot or characters, but nonetheless, they all do change somewhat over the course of the series.
Overall,
...
though, this is a dramatic comedy with elements such as explict sex and the presence of death-gods thrown into the mix as plot-drivers... integral but not focal. The focus is on entertaining you and I, the humble watchers.
So, take some time out and enjoy this short but sweet series.... that is my recommendation. It gets a solid B+ grade from me!

Although I only read Volume 1 (the rest were not available to me yet), the story seems good, but not outstanding... what is outstanding: this is a full-color manga! Every single page is rendered in bright colors, really helps to show off the blood, amongst other things.
I like this so far because the artwork is a real pleasure to look at, and the story is interesting enough to keep me going. There was not much time to develop depth but there was time to have action (fighting) and some nice H-scenes (which seamlessly fit in, this is not a hentai work or something done just
...
for the sex, it is integral to the plot).
It sorta reminds me of the TV series Torchwood... only, in manga form or course...
Well, I will write a deeper review when more volumes are available to me.

I just finished watching this movie, and I have to say that I don't how to rate it. Something between 7 (good) and 3 (bad).
It is entertaining, but it is also so far out that even the characters don't believe what they experience. Moreover, it leaves a lot of unanswered questions, and features lots of random violent weirdness for no apparent reason.
Look, if you have nothing else to do, watch it and enjoy... you don't need to be on drugs to watch this, because it makes you think that it was made on drugs.
...but if you got something else going on, then skip this,
...
you aren't missing anything.

Basically, I enjoyed this anime because it fleshed out the background of the megaten series a bit. It is more directly based on the DDM book than the Famicom game that followed it, leading eventually to the "two men in black" splitting off from NAMCO to form Atlus.
However, in general, it is fairly pathetic, even by old-fashioned standards.
Taken as a compliment to the light novel, though, it works fairly well, so overall, I rated it as "good", or 7/10... however, for most people, I would recommend watching something else... leave this for diehard megatenist, or fans of the DDM light novel (which is still
...
not officially in English, but there is a fan-translation).
Hope this helps.

This was a rather mediocre-feeling entry into the Karo no Kyoukai series. And, I don't mean mediocre by the standards of the series (which is generally amazing), but rather, mediocre in general.
It is set in an all-girls' boarding school and starts promisingly with a speech about blatant incest, but quickly degenerates into a medium-paced murder mystery with no sort of zest, tension, or real zing, at all.
Shiki is almost pedestrian.
Okay, so, this is not really a bad episode, even standing on its own. It is a good drama with a murder mystery and minimal slice-of-life / school drama overtones.
However, it doesn't seem
...
to fit in with the series at all.
Yes, there is something supernatural, but, it takes a big backdrop to the drama, and there never seems to be a sense of real tension or danger.
The "boss fight" is above average for anime, but below par for the series, because you never really believe that Shiki is really being stressed or endangered.
Overall, if you have to miss one of the parts, it could be this one...
It isn't bad, but, it is just, so... average, that in comparison, it feels pale.
Maybe I'll watch it again sometime and see if it looks better the second time around.
Story: 7/10 for the character development,
Characters: 7/10, it is missing a stronger threat or situation but the stock characters are good and the "villians" are believable, just, not supreme badasses.
Enjoyment: 6/10, it was a tad above mediocre.
Overall: 5/10, mediocre, considering how much more it could have been, given the source material and other parts.
