Welcome to the NHK is about a college dropout and Hikikomori Tatsuhiro, Sato. His hikikomori-ism is a result of his schizophrenia and delusions of persecution. He believes that a secret organisation known as the NHK is constraining him to being a hikikomori as well as planning to convert the entire world into hikikomori's. I shouldve started off by explaining what a hikikomori is. It is also known as the "acute social withdrawal". When one shuts themselves off from society and seeks extreme degrees of isolation and solitude. I will now commence with writing my review!








STORY: 8. Sato lives his normal hikikomori life when a mysterious ... girl with the name of misaki offers to help our protagonist with his condition via daily counselling, going over the lines of sigmund freud and Carl jung. Sato refuses at first but goes along with it as the series goes. Sato then makes up a haphazard lie about him being a game developer and then feels obligated to uphold that image. He then meets up with his old friend yamazaki who has an intense passion for erotic games. With that in mind Sato briefs yamazaki on the whole situation thus commencing their quest to make an erotic game. This is just the subplot though. The main plot would have to do with misaki trying to change Sato and the longer the series goes the more gets revealed about misaki and why she wants to help Sato so bad. The show gets a little dark sometimes but it's mostly comedy that can be very hit or miss. It's not miserably unfunny or anything I just feel that the comedy could be done a little better. A few episodes in the series Sato meets up with his highschool crush who is also going through issues in her life so as a result, she is constantly needing antidepressants and sleeping pills and she feels like a burden to her "boyfriend". The plot overall moves at a pretty fair pace. Not too fast and not too slow.












ART:6. I thought the art was good enough but nothing outstanding. In some episodes the animations will really suck yucky scrotum and im assuming it could be the result of budget cuts maybe? I'm not completely sure. The art was nothing special but good enough












SOUND: 8.The voice acting in the original japanese was pretty good but again nothing really incendiary or special about it. I thought the dub was especially bad though I heavily advise on not watching it. The soundtracks however were great. The opening was strangely melancholic while nostalgic at the same time and both endings were pretty good. "Odoru akachan ningen" (the ending theme) was such a banger I've found myself listening to it outside of the anime. "Youkoso hitoribocchi" Or in english welcome to loneliness hit pretty hard I'd say. It was sort of pathos and made you feel empty inside after listening. It's a pretty powerful track!








CHARACTERS: 9. I loved every single character in this show! They're all given such depth and some will really get you attached to them. Misaki i think, is a brilliantly written character! She's written in such a way that doesn't make the audience think that she's too good for Sato by unveiling her past and how she wants to feel needed by someone. Sato is an extremely privileged person yet he is one of the most troubled characters out there. He seriously struggles with crowds and public places to the point where he gets panic attacks when he goes out and thanks to his persecution complex, that exacerbates his anxiety outside. Even all of the side characters I've found were quiet endearing which is a really cool touch. There hasn't been one character in the show that I've explicitly despised or hated. They were all great!









ENJOYMENT:8. I feel that this show is just great to watch when youre having a terrible day. It's bound to cheer you up one way or another. (unless if you're on the suicide island arc) It's fun to see all these characters interact with each other and watch the plot unfold and more info being unveiled on our flawed main characters. This reminds me of Eva that way.














OVERALL: 7.8/ 8. This Is such a beautiful show that teaches us on the meaning of life. If you watched the show and are waiting for you're own misaki, then I'm afraid you missed the entire point of the show. How I interpreted it was: BE YOUR OWN MISAKI. Get out there and talk to people (as hard as it may be) you never know when you could brighten up someone's day or just make their life alot easier by making conversation. You exist to bring relief to others and not to be a burden. Help others in any way you can and just be social! I loved this show a lot and if you like rom-coms with a hint of psychology, the n I really suggest this anime! It's worth it.

Ixion saga DT. An anime I'm afraid no one knows or talks about which is a shame since it's honestly one of the best isekais in my opinion, not because it's got godly fight scenes or a beautifully crafted story, but because it's just genuinely hilarious. It's up there with konosuba. Ixion saga DT is basically about this shut in who loves games gets transported into this games world. He then teleports in between a fight between princess ecarlate and her bodyguards and lands directly on the antagonist. Kon basically escapes with ecarlate And her guards and then the shows picks up from there. Now ... I'm going to preface this by saying I watched the show a little while ago so I'm not fully sure that anything I say will he said with 100% veracity. With that said Let's get into this review!




STORY: 7 Ixion saga doesn't have an overarching plot line that has every viewer in awe whilst watching. I would be lying if I said it wasn't rivetting. It's interesting to see where kon and his friends adventure to go back home takes him. And believe me it takes them to the most bizarre of places. I wouldn't say the story is Ixion saga's strongest point though all though it definitely is interesting, I feel some episodes are a little more predictable than others and that would just turn some people off.






ART:6 If you're coming into this show hoping for brilliantly animated fight scenes and stellar character design I'm afraid you won't like this show at all. The art isnt at all bad. I think it's pretty good for an anime made this long ago. There's not much salient info I could give you on this shows animations and art, a you need to know is that it isnt bad by any means.







SOUND: 8 DT DT DT DT DT DT DT SUTERU! I fucking loved this shows OSTs they were all so catchy even if you didn't like them at all at first, they grow on you. I mean the opening is literally about the mc wanting to lose his virginity, need I say more?










CHARACTERS: 9. The characters are by far the best part about this show! They are all so lovable and endearing to the point where the antagonists dont feel like antagonists. I dont even blame Erecpyle (The antagonist) for wanting to vanquish kon. I mean because of Kon, the dude is literally missing both his ball sacks. Yeah I'm being dead serious. Erecpyle and his squad are such a fun bunch and the way they all interact is great! The main cast as well. Kon and his friends are absolutely hilarious characters! Kon is this belligerent edgy shut in teen that has absolutely no tact and his friends are giving him shit for this every step of the way. There is literally a character that pretends to be a girl and he has to be my favourite character in the show. He just loves trolling everyone that he meets and he is just such an intriguing character overall. Ecarlate is a character that I intially never thought I could like as I thought she was just a spoiled brat, being the daughters of an aristocrat. A brat that thinks that everyone else is below her and just a worm is comparison. I was being presumptuous. She is pretty much a tsundere and a fair sweet little girl trying to be a good leader.









ENJOYMENT:9 This show was so fun to watch, it kept me entertained almost every episode because of how interesting the characters and their dynamics were. The slapstick comedy is sure to make you laugh at least 10 times watching this show. Ixion Saga is quiet the facetious anime meaning it doesn't take itself seriously! Not really story-oriented. It solely relies on its comedy which would make anyone a little apprehensive when getting into it, but trust me when i say it's worth it. This is one of the few animes I actually laughed out loud to.






OVERALL: 7.6
While I love this show a lot i do have to say it isnt for everyone as I mentioned in the art section and the intro. Id say give it about 4 episodes before deciding to drop it although I'll have you know you're missing out. This is a great comedy show overall and I would suggest it to all of you looking for one!
