Burst Angel is one of my favourite animes, and this short but sweet OVA is defiantly a brilliant addition to its franchise.

Acting as a prequel to the original series (and a sequel to Episode 14) is a fun story full of action, a bit of mystery and a few laughs along the way. It can be a little rushed given that it’s only around 25 mutinies long and it doesn’t really add anything to actually series itself so fans of the series won’t miss anything big if they do skip this.

Being a fan of vampires and the gothic all my life I had to check this anime out when I heard about it, and while it is far from a classic, it’s an enjoyable romp of an adventure for sure.

Moon Phase is at its heart an adventure/romance/comedic anime and it mostly works very well in all its fields and while the series may look light and fluffy on its surface (And most of the time it is quite light) it holds some dark settings and events which will surprise you.

When I first heard of Bakuretsu Tenshi I believed it to be a similar anime to a personal favorite anime of mine, Black Lagoon, and us such I had high expectations. In the end Burst Angel turned out to be a totally different show then I had first though it would be, yet in quite a good way…
