Suki desu Suzuki-kun is your typical sweet shoujo manga that is full of "fluff": cuteness and sweetness, with some drama bombshell around chapter 30-32. Your characters are a shy girl who has a genious talent for acting, a hyper guy giving his all for the girl and basketball, his childhood friend who secretly in love with him and also, the childhood friend's admirer. Generic at best, but their chemistry works out pretty well. They live their lives as middle schoolers happily, with sweet, cute and lovely moments which is sometimes too much for me to handle (not in a bad way), until well, drama bombshell,
...
which I'm not going any deeper for the sake of spoilers except for this: *SPOILER ALERT* the aftermath of that drama is sweetness, all over again at a higher level.
To admit, if I gave this manga a critical, cold-blooded rating, this manga would fall around 7.5/10, but in my heart, I give this a 10/10, for all the "fluff".
If you're looking for a manga with fluff and you can handle some drama which is not that much, go ahead, I recommend this to you (You can't handle the drama? Stop at chapter 28, do not read chapter 29 and chapters after that). But if you're someone looking for a manga with a deep story, I suggest you look somewhere else.
(P/S: Yes I'm not lying. I've finished reading the series, and finally got my hand on all physical volumes)

I hate and hate myself so much when I have to write a negative review for one of the best series I've seen since I started reading manga and watching anime. But I have to do it anyway, since I am angry for the fact that the 2nd season was executed so poorly, music made my ear bled, more than last half the story got chopped off and packed so dense, even neutron star is light.
Story: 3/10 Poor
The story got pretty much chopped off: The original manga (amazing web manga, go read it) has 222 chapters, 108 of them was made for season
...
1 with 13 episodes, the rest of them is pretty much the season 2 with 4 EPISODES. I got cut off so badly, adapted so poorly that I cringed watching the 2nd season I've been waiting for so long, so much dissapointment.
Art: 7/10 Good
Not so bad, although not fully true to the original, this is just fine or an anime adaptation.
Character: 10/10 Outstanding
If the plot wasn't so short, I'd give it an 11/10 for interesting characters and great development.
Sound: 1/10 Pathetic
I hate it, hate it so badly. This is the main reason I hate this season and only thing I disliked in the 1st one. They literally re-used the soundtracks they had for season 1 and you know what? They don't fit the story at all. Whoever is in charge, please fire the guy responsible for the soundtracks, they suck so badly, since season 1 and nothing had changed.
Enjoyment: 2/10 Dreadful
I'm not angry, I'm disappointed. No.... I AM angry and disappointed as well. Only if they put more budget on this amazing series and negotiated better with the author, we would have had a masterpiece this season.
Overall: 3/10 Poor
Let's just say: Just go read the manga, it's more worthwhile.

(Warning: Slight bit of spoiler"
Have you been reading Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san and get tired of the lack of romantic progress? Wondering if the couple will ever get a happy life forever after, so that you have to use your rarely functioning brain to come up with how their life looks like in the future? Fear not, Yamamoto-sensei does that for you instead.
Set in more than ten years in the future, Takagi and Nishikita has already built up a young family with their daughter - Chii, the story follows the daily life of the family with Chii being the center of their activities. (Hol' up,
...
so they're ALL Nishikita now, but you get what I mean).
Story: 8/10
The plot is simple, but enjoyable. Still full of pranks by Takagi and amusing reactions coming from Nishikita and now, Chii. BUT you get to see Takagi and Nishikita being together as husband and wife. I mean isn't that the major purpose of you reading this spin-off?
Art: 9/10
Simple but full of live. Not some mess of a manga page, exactly like how you expect Yamamoto-sensei would draw.
Character: 9/10
Oh come on, of course the characters will get 9/10. They acts exactly how they were in their school days. But now you get to see Chii with her dad's reaction face.
Enjoyment: 8.5/10
A light slice of life which will ease your mind and heart after a day of hard work and studying (unless you're a NEET, then I'd doubt you've actually read or intended to read this manga at all)
Overall: 8.5/10
You get what you expected from a spin-off of a romantic slice of life manga. Nothing much to be said about except: "AAAAAWWWWWW."

OK, I'm gonna start this review with 2 things:
- I literally signed up just to review this
- I have re-watched this film for at least 25 times and already lost count.
Plot: 9.5/10 (MAL 10)
Art: ∞/10 (MAL 10)
Character: 9.9/10 (MAL 10)
Sound: 11/10 (MAL 10)
Enjoyment: ∞/10 (MAL 10)
Overall: ∞/10 (MAL 10)
...
Plot:
The story is not simple, or way too complex, fairly easy to understand, if you pay enough attention to the movie itself. THAT IS, for the first time you watch it. Over the time you re-watch the anime, you will realize the brilliantly placed hints that the director dropped in. If you have already watched a lot of anime, the story is higher than decent, but hasn't reached the masterpiece level. slightly predictable, though the enjoyment is not lost. Makoto Shinkai has executed the advancement of the film greatly. It progresses slowly and fast at the right spots, which is what I am really impressed of.
The ending is just so d*mn beautiful, can be said as one of the best endings I have ever seen in anime and manga.
TL;DR: The story is cool
Art:
"Top-notch", "masterpiece". "so beautiful it looks better than real life" is what comes to my mind when I think of Kimi no nawa's art. As expected from Makoto Shinkai and ComixWave. The amount of details is not something you can expect of if you have never watched any of Makoto's previous pieces. Even the rays of sunlight, the breath in cold air, the traffic lights are taken account of. To admit, I was so atonished of the art that I sometimes wonder if this is real life, or it is just a fantasy.
TL;DR: The art is just unbelievably beautiful.
Characters:
2 protagonists. is that all?
The character development is extremely noticable, but with the right portion so that you cannot say something like: "Who the hell is he/she?".
The world revolves. Not only the protagonists are in active. The youthful and carefree highschool students, the wisdom of the elders, the joyful little children, full-minded adults in the society, from urban to rural, with each and every different personalities create such a beautiful, lively world around our protagonists.
TL;DR: The characters from important to unimportant ones are fantastic.
Sound:
Terrific, emotional, warming, beautiful soundtracks (composed and performed by RADWIMPS) that fit in the film so perfectly. Without these wonderful sountracks, the film would have lose 50% of its enjoyment. The sountracks are so great, I have the entire album in my playlist.
TL;DR: RADWIMPS performed this. It's really awesome.
Enjoyment:
OH MAH F**KING GAWD I LOVE THIS DAMN FILM. I HAVE LOST COUNT OF THE TIMES I RE-WATCH.
Overall:
Kimi no nawa- the latest masterpiece made by our one and only: MAKOTO SHINKAI. It is simply beautiful. A true masterpiece which we can only get once in a decade. It will be a rollercoaster of emotions, the definition of true art. Kimi no nawa will stay as one of the best anime in the entire medium. A must-watch for every anime fan, from new to veteran and to the people who has not even a slightest idea of what anime is.
~EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED~
