Spy x Family

An incredibly unique set up for a story, three strangers who are hiding pivotal secrets from each other slowly learn how to become a family. While it is a rather simple narrative, it offers a very loose framework that allows for some amazing character interactions ranging from hilarious to ridiculously heartfelt, the art and animation is very fluent and reminiscent of early 90's animation with a modern look, the openings and endings as well as the actual soundtrack of the series is all phenomenal and super fitting for the series, an amazing adaptation of its source material that elevates it to new heights, just a

Such a masterclass of a sequel season, amazing development for the main cast of characters and as always seeing them all interact is the most enjoyable aspect of this series, each character is allowed proper and natural exploration that feels like the logical progression, the art and animation absolutely stunning and looks film quality at many points, probably my least favorite opening but my new favorite ending credits, this season feels like the crescendo of everything that this series has been building up to this point, I already absolutely adored this series but this season has pushed it into my all time favorites

A step up from the first season in terms of character depth, felt as if each lead character got to show a variety of emotions rather than being incredibly one dimensional. As to be expected of this series the artwork and animation look absolutely beautiful, every frame is packed with immense detail and the animation is ridiculously fluid. The soundtrack wasn't anything to memorable, the opening was quite a jam but as for the tracks that played during the episodes, nothing really stuck out. As mentioned earlier it felt as if each of the lead characters had more emotional range and each one's personality was

Star Wars: Visions
(Anime)
add
A lot of really cool ideas and exploration of smaller scale stories that we would not otherwise get to see in the Star Wars universe, that being said the execution in a lot of these stories is extremely underwhelming. There are some standout episodes such as "The Duel" and "Lop and Ocho" that are really simple but feel as if they fit right into the overarching world. It feels as if this series would have benefitted from having a serialized story as opposed to an episodic one, a lot of the episodes still could have happened the way they did but having more than one

Owarimonogatari 2nd Season
(Anime)
add
The final chapter of Monogatari that beautifully showcases how far the cast has come from their initial points. The story is more of the same that you would come to expect from this series, lots of poetic and philosophical dialogue fill up the majority of the episodes and as always it is ridiculously engaging. The main arc revolves around Araragi learning and confronting Ougi which made for some of the best moments in the entire series. As each season progressed the art and animation only became crisper and more expressive, every frame was a pleasure to look at. The directing of this series has always

Neru: Bugei Dogyou

A story that had a lot of potential to be great but was unfortunately axed by Shonen Jump before it had a chance to come into its own. The story was a rather standard set up with some interesting twists, it was interesting how most combat seemed to be based on more grounded martial arts compared to other Shonen power systems. The artwork was initially what put me onto this series and only seemed to be progressing as each chapter released. Each lead character's personality was properly conveyed through how they interacted with each other which usually was the most engaging parts of the story.

Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho
(Anime)

An absolute pleasure from start to finish that contained one of the most well realized group of characters within the medium. The story begins incredibly strong by helping the viewer instantly emotionally connect with Yusuke through his tragic sacrifice and eventual return to life, it quickly shifts from an episodic ghost adventure to a much more traditional Shonen format with the Dark Tournament Arc. This arc takes the cast that it has been building up since the beginning and throws them into a completely new situation where things are a matter of life and death and seeing how each of them reacts to this is

Phenomenal sequel season to the original, properly fleshed out the world that has been built up to this point. The overarching story is nothing groundbreaking but each episode acted as an episodic tale that gave us a further look into the lives of the characters while remaining fun and engaging. The art and animation were beautiful, I have never seen another piece of animation with this much charm and care put into it. The watercolor backgrounds as well as the crispness and fluidity of the animation were simply breathtaking. Great soundtrack that perfectly fit every emotional scene as well as the comical ones, the openings

Shin Evangelion Movie:||
(Anime)
add
The perfect conclusion to the Evangelion series while doing things and going places I would have never expected Evangelion to go. The entire story revolves around the consequences of the previous films and how our characters are dealing with the new world on top of their own personal insecurities. The art style of the film varied throughout its run while consistently looking phenomenal, the callbacks to the final two episodes during the train sequence was specifically amazing. Frames from the original series would be recreated in the new art style which was really cool to see (I lost my shit when Asuka woke up and

Evangelion Movie 3: Q

Definitely the weakest out of the rebuilds so far, had a insanely interesting premise taking place after the events of the previous film but the execution of it all was very lack luster. All of the mystery surrounding this timelines events are either answered expository or never lead anywhere significant. The relationship between Shinji and Kaworu is a lot more fleshed out here but still seems to not have the same impact that Kaworu originally left. The art is the best its looked throughout these films as well as the soundtrack carrying the same amount of emotional weight behind its scenes. Shinji's character seems to
