WARNING: spoilers for the small plot it has

This movie is basically all style no substance. It starts with battles and ends with battles. A small intermission in the middle to make a plan for the end battle.

The antagonists were not fleshed out at all. They all got a few seconds of still images to show their "backstory", but with a few seconds of that we will not care for them or sympathise with them. If the movie started with the sealing of Conrad, and then went ahead with his perspective of reviving the three past wizard kings and showing the backstory of each of ... them, knowing what they went through and understanding their motives and reasons, and seeing Conrad's perspective of him laying out his plans before he attacks the tournament, I would be way more invested into this movie.

The animation and sound are really good, and the fights themselves look good and cool aswell, and the magic powers of the previous wizard kings look very cool and all, but when I don't care for the antagonists because I know nothing about them other then "world bad, create new world thats good" it falls flat.

All in all, I was bored watching this thinking "why are the antagonists fighting again? Oh yeah, it wasn't shown to us let alone told." The first part of the movie should've been the perspective of Conrad, backstories and the attack on the tournament, followed immediately into the second half of the movie where all the heroes work and fight together to stop Conrad and co, instead of the intermission in the middle of the movie that we have now.
The entire existance of breach zone zero (something like that? dont remember at all) is useless, as nothing was gained with that entire sequence except showing a little bit what Conrad can do and Noelle losing her magic which couldve just happened anywhere else.

If you like cool action scenes and fights, this movie is for you. But if you want something with a little substance, this ain't it chief.

Hunter x Hunter was pretty good. It feels different from other shounen. Here in hxh most of the fights ends in just a few moves or even gets resolved by just talking, which I really like. There aren't really any braindead fights just because they're in a shounen. Most of the antagonists also aren't "I have to fight you to the death because I have to", but can also listen to reason or can accept deals so that nobody has to fight. It's probably one of the most 'realistic', I would say.
I also like that some of the main cast aren't present ... for arcs at a time, because they are busy with their own life and goals. Instead of "I met the main character, so I should stay with them forever" they still have stuff to do.

When watching I kept hearing about the Chimera Ant arc and how great it was, one of the best arcs in anime. While it was pretty good with an amazing antagonist yes, it does stretch out a lot and sometimes it became quite boring. Especially when the raid on the Palace commenced, it became very narration heavy for like 7 episodes. That wouldn't be too bad, because a lot happened in just a few seconds for the main cast. What was bad about it is that alot was said by the narration, which it didnt need to. Obvious things you can just see, or have to slightly think about were just told to you. It really dragged the episodes out alot. There were also a lot of reaction scenes (Especially pouf holy hell) that also dragged on for too long. Yes, we know you like the King, no need to have an orgasm everytime he speaks to you.

This anime is certainly enjoyable and worth your time. Power system is pretty good, fights are 'realistic', the arcs are great, and the characters are also enjoyable. I would definitely recommend giving this a shot.

One piece is a very enjoyable anime. I suggest everyone at least try one piece. Don't be discouraged by its length, if you like it you just want more by the time you're caught up.
I skipped most fillers and focused on the main plot. I very much like the anime up until the fisman island arc.

I've already heard about very bad pacing when I went into the series (Which can be felt at Thriller Bark already, but especially the dressrosa arc) but I wanted to try it until I found the pacing to be too slow. It was already kind of a chore to ... go through fishman island, where I already felt the pacing slowing down, so I decided to switch to manga which was way more fun than I thought.

Don't misunderstand, I like the anime, but I recommend anyone that wants to begin, that you might want to consider switching to the manga at some point when the pacing is too slow for you personally.
