To keep this short, Wonderful Days is a story of the degradation of the world, mainly the sky. The main characters involve a love triangle with a very, very, VERY emotional resolution. I can see where this movie garnered some hate, there are many points where the 3d felt out of sync with the 2d animation, and they do this weird light stroke on the characters, which was honestly jarring at first, but after a few moments of breath-taking immersion, I had completely forgotten. Even with its flaws, I would claim Wonderful Days to be one of my favorites. If you like thinking of the ...

Preliminary (3/13 eps)
Spoiler
Jigokuraku is not even close to recommending based on story and atmosphere alone, in fact I would say if you are looking for those, run in any direction but here. Gabimaru the hollow in theory is an awesome character idea, but execution falls flat. His connection with his wife and their story were by far the most interesting part of the experience ( Dropped episode 3, might get better or worse ).
The fights were very half baked, feeling as if they ended as quickly as they started. Animation is fine, but just fine, a lot of material needed to give it life ...

Mononoke (Anime) add
Mononoke was a beautiful mess that has stuck with me in my everyday life, one of the few anime's that I would claim has transcended the genre as a whole.

Façade, façade, façade.

The medicine seller would be the mediator of the river of lies if there was one. The characters were extremely fleshed out and very purposeful. Everything you see plays a part. This is one of the MUST WATCH titles for supernatural genre fans. The art-style is an extreme but fitting choice for the intended emotion.

The Anime >The Manga

Mononoke has been playing through my head reel for nearly 4 years ...

Spoiler
Honestly, its a slow burn that only lasts 20 minutes. The story seems to be overlooked, like most avant-garde animations, but if you stfu, sit back and immerse yourself you will find a warning of humanity's possible future. The main character is too devoted to uncovering the past of the earth and humanity, his coworkers over time have been sucked dry of their drive due to the soul crushing knowledge of what humanity has done to its one of only two sources of life, earth. Humanity has retreated to the moon to await earths revival which is to be solely aided by the sun and ...

Mixed Feelings
This one just did not have much going for it, the fairy plot is kind of half baked. I will say the after credits were more interesting than the rest of this episode. The story in this one is just nonsensical. The cg used later in the episode did make the watch worthwhile to be honest. And fu**, I did not want this borderline inc*** bullsh** they got going on, really hoping that doesn't become the focus of the garden of sinners. It really did not have the fleshed out feeling the earlier episodes do, I cannot state that enough. You're gonna need a smoke ...
