Corpse Party: Tortured Souls - Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou
|
Both feature cursed schools, unraveling mysteries, creative deaths, gratuitous gore, and the awareness that no character is safe. Bonus: you could exchange the theme songs and it would work either way. But wait, there's more: Siblings! Loss! Frustration! Blood all over the school! Ensemble casts! An emphasis on counting!

Both have a high level of mystery and the complete picture isn't revealed until the very end. The rumor/legend aspects and high school protagonists also give a similar feel. Another is more violent, although both have horror aspects. Boogiepop is more mature in its story telling and is more approachable for adult viewers.
