The story is about a Devil and a human who fall in love, in a world where devils, angels , humans and God exist. The story starts really well with good and interesting characters but around half way it seems to lose it's focus. Some characters that seem important are never really explained. The ending was the worse part for me, i will not write spoilers just that it truly left a bitter taste in my mouth, it took a way different turn than what you 'd expect from reading the first chapters. I was so unsatisfied i was wishing i stopped at chapter 50
...
before i became so annoyed about how things ended. A lot of things stayed unexplained and even the "happy" ending didn't feel happy or satisfying at all.

Since you came to read the reviews of the 2nd season i assume you ve already seen the 1st. (if not, well you are a bit of an oddball)
The 2nd season starts off with the defeated team that didn't manage to go to nationals. At first, it's rather normal for everyone to be sad about the 3rd years leaving because they were all extremely interesting characters, and it makes you wonder, is the 2nd season gonna be good without them ? Well yes it is! Even though the about to retired 3rd years aren't at the scene much,
...
other characters get more scene time and a deeper character development. When watching the new team i wondered "was this guy always here?" but after awhile you cant imagine the season without the new characters.
This season puts more depth to the players emotions, instead of only polishing flashy moves you get to follow the protagonists mostly mental struggle. Even if you aren't into sports it makes you understand that not only physical training is important. Even though the main character isn't the sharpest pen of the shed (and his intelligence doesn't get any better) you can clearly see the character development in his own aspects. Off-course due to the 3rd years not being there all the characters are forced to grow (along with everyone's favorite Miyuki who becomes the new captain, a befitting title don't you think?) Well my personal favorite is Kuramochi and he plays a pretty important role this season!
I have never watched nor do i plan on watching a real baseball match, yet i loved this anime and i highly recommend it. I think if an anime makes you watch over 100 episodes about a generally not so popular sport and never be bored it's worth watching.

One piece is my favorite anime of all time.
I started watching it when i was around 8-10 years old, it was on the morning tv shows i would wake up early just to watch it. Later that day i would meet with my friends, we would chose one of the characters and play, i was Zoro so i had to go around looking for sticks to pretend they d be my all mighty swords. After it stopped airing i grew up and i forgot about it. At the age of 15 i don't even remember how or why i started re-watching it and since
...
that day i ve been hooked up to the story line.
For those who don't like long anime, why are you even here? One piece is known to be the longest anime airing, please don't belittle the show because of that, there are plenty of other shorter anime to watch.
So here starts my review! (took me long enough huh)
The story is about a boy who aims find the legendary treasure One piece and become the pirate King. Why you may ask? For wealth, fame, power? NO! because he wants to be the freest man in the world. Personally, i don't want him to find it, because when that happens it will mean one piece has ended and am gonna cry my self to sleep that night. (pretty mature ain't i huh) The show starts a bit slow with the main character recruiting friends but for me i didn't even realize how the time (episodes) passed. The anime offers you both great comedy and action at the exact amount you d want it, with great jokes and funny faces as well as amazing fights that aren't only about getting stronger just from yelling that you love your friends. Furthermore, as the story progress, it becomes a bit more serious but without ever lacking of comical moments. What i love about it is, that the protagonist doesn't always win, making your adrenaline pump because you don't expect the same result every single time. To conclude, the plot surprised me many times, a minor detail you saw at around episode 60 ends up being very important at for example episode 300 and you stand watching it and wander "was the author always planning to do this? how can he think so far ahead"
The characters, every character is unique they have their own goals and aren't simple side kicks for the plots sake. Every character has a deep background, it makes you feel that you know them better, you end up laughing with them, crying with them, feeling their agony (am i getting to cliche? ) And that doesn't only apply to the main crew but foes and allies alike. Off course there will be characters you like more and characters you wish they die but never actually do but that happens because of the big character variety it has i think it s normal one or two are not that likable (for example whiny princesses that need help) Also, the characters progress through the story even the air head protagonist gets more serious by the time you ve reached half of the series.
So, i ve blabbered enough, if you like long series, amazing action, comedy, character development i think you should give One piece a try.
P.S. Does anyone actually scroll down to the last page to even see this ?

I am probably one of the few people who did not enjoy this anime at all. I honestly found it horrible and not because of the old animation, i mean when you watch an old anime you really cant have high expectations for animation. First of all the story, it s the classic sports story where the protagonist aims to be the best. But in this case the protagonist is just too strong, he has no real opponent, you barely even see him train at all, even when he struggles vs an opponent he suddenly overcomes the difficulty for no reason at all (kind of
...
like how ichigo defeats his opponents in bleach, he s losing the whole fight then KA-BOOM super power time and beats them).
Second of all the characters, i found them simply boring, besides the protagonist who has some kind of arrogant attitude the rest of them have no special characteristics whatsoever. For that reason to give them something special they have different speech patterns for example one of them says the same sentence twice and another one always says pshhh or something. The leader of the tennis club has to be the most plain character i ever saw, all he says is one single sentence every time he has some screen time (which is not very much). But what annoyed me the most is the lack of character development in the series so many episodes yet the characters remain as they were in season 1.
To conclude, the matches. At first glance the matches seem interesting but after awhile they become very repetitive and i found my self just skipping 15 mins out of the 20 of every single episode. As the story progresses, they seem to have run out of simple ideas for the matches so it ends up a super power match. (small spoiler here) There is one match where the opponent makes a tornado just by spinning around then the protagonist slices the ball in half with his racket, i was confused it felt more like dragon ball than a sports anime. I believe when u have a sports anime you either have some kind of powers like Kuroko no basket, or go the normal road as diamond no ace or Haikyuu! but prince of tennis took the super powers to a whole new level of what the hell am i watching!
I do not recommend this anime at all too many episodes and it only gets worse.
P.S. i actually enjoyed the fillers more than the actual episodes. (which is sad)
