I personally don't hate ecchi and harem anime, besides there are several times i usually enjoy them a lot and quite useful to fill my boredom, and this anime is one example, it's "not good but also not that bad" category because there are many flaws here but still quite enjoyable and it's still worth watching for harem anime fans out there or just want to fill your free time. First of all, i am not a type of person who like to review and judge an anime when it's still airing but this time i hardly must break it because i can't hold myself ... to express my opinion about this anime after these episodes they offered.
First is the story, let's be honest here, anybody who watch an ecchi-harem anime hardly thinking about a decent story right, this is the simplest premise of story this anime has: it's started with our mc (Kogarashi) moves to a cheap lodging where he meets a cute ghost (Yuuna) and promise to release her from the world by fullfill her wishes so she can rest in peace. The story premising is simple, but with 9 episodes aired already i'll be honest there is only slightly progress happen, only 1 or 2 episodes who probably focusing on it, we instead always got unlimited dose of ecchi moments where the mc always end up in bad situations either he got beaten up by other girls or being treated as a pervert entire time which is ALWAYS he never meant to do that in the first place, not mainstream enough? We also got one tsundere giri, a legal loli, a drunk onee-san, and cat girl, and oh a normal student girl (which all of them are basic formula of any harem anime). But before you got irritated, actually after some episodes later, the mc starts growing like a man and get better and most all the girls are getting tamed already by the mc who solve their each problems. The problem is the progress seems happen after episode 5 and later after that and pretty much the main story is just being a decoration here, which is understandable because "plots" are more important in this kind of anime. Now the characters, in my opinion most characters are boring and forgettable, until the point you can't care much about them and only care for the "plots", and in early episodes some of them are being so annoying, especially the tsundere ninja girl and heroine of this anime, Yuuna herself who keeps being the main factor of main character's misfortunes. The main character is so bland at first and always accept any misfortunes he got instead stand a chance to protect his pride (one of the most mainstream thing in harem), but later like i said he then start to gaining respect from them for what he did (being a cool and you'll get take down all the bit**es!). But the character design is top notch for me, all the characters are looking good even the main character which is a wise decision i think because it fits when he shows his cool moments sometimes. Another good thing they did pretty well so far is the fine animation which i don't really have problem from beginning, yes sometimes there are bland drawing but i don't have problem with it personally. The music and ost are average, the voice acting is not bad although some high pitching voices from the girls can irritate my ears sometimes, but rest of them are yeah, not that bad in my opinion. I probably going to update this review if in any case this anime could change my mind in the future either is gonna be a good one or a bad one, it depends on what they have to offer for the episodes left.

Such a truly one of under-popular anime of all time, this anime is a seriously hidden gem between the most hyped anime out there and i dare to say this anime is one of the best ever created. Even i honestly didn't notice this anime first, until i saw many people give good impression on this anime, and boi they weren't wrong. And till now, it's still one of my favorite anime of all time...

-Story- (10)
This is the unique one, who made this anime always stick on my mind. Story of this anime is about a guy who become a disciple of a ... rakugoka ( a rakugo master), after he got impressed by the master's performance when he was still in the jail. Rakugo is one of a culture show in Japan which just there is one person as storyteller and narrator to tell story with various themes but full with inspiration. Probably many of you still don't know what it is, same like me at first, but this is the point of the story. This anime, slowly but surely, keeps trying to get us inside more deeply to know and even enjoying rakugo show. The story alone focus on two viewpoint, first the disciple guy, Youtaro, and his master when he's still young. For the next episodes, the story just keeps driving for being more solid than before, so it won't disappoint you till the end...

-Art- (9)
The animation art is gorgeous and smooth, this proves everyone is wrong about negative critics on DEEN Studio, which many people said always makes shitty anime with trash quality. Seriously, sometimes that just bothers me because people always blame DEEN for what they've done to FSN and always compare it with ufotable's version. And for some reasons, the animation kinda brings nostalgic on me cause it looks similiar with Sakamichi no Apollon, and that's why the animation always fits with my eyes..

-Sound- (10)
All sounds factors including voice acting, OP & ED, even soundtrack are really matching for the anime. Ishida Akira and Seki Tomokazu surely knows how to voicing the characters, and even all voice actors for supporting roles, they tried nicely done for this anime. Altought the Opening song is awesome, the Ending exceed my expectation. If you ever watched Mushishi and listen the ending song, this anime ending is not strange for you, the jazz music with slowly pace, will make you lost yourself for one minute, absolutely one of my favorite for this season. About the soundtrack, everything is cool especially when Shamisen (Japanese Tradiitional Guitar) be played in the anime..

-Character- (8)
All charcters here are typical of character which make us to never can hate them for some reasons. As i said before, there are two main characters here which have their own stories. First Youtaro, the guy who wanna be a Rakugoka and become a disciple from a Master Rakugo, and then start his lesson how to get that dream. And second one is Yakumo-sensei, a Rakugoka who become a master for Youtaro, this anime also focus on Yakumo's past about how he can be a famous Rakugoka. And also, all supporting characters are nice and have positive sides for the anime story. So far, that's the only my explanation for characters because i don't give too much spoiler here..

I REALLY enjoy it so far, and expect more of this anime come soon. This anime surely knows how to make you laugh, amazed, and even give a heartwarming feeling into your heart...

It's perfect 10/10 anime for me and i hope there will be more anime like this in the future, i hope. I surely suggest this anime for you if you wanna try to watch anime with full of calmness, heartwarming, and slice of life story, you won't be disappointed i swear...

Did you ever watch or find some kind of anime who just showing like they make the anime with statement "hey at least the images are moving right, so we don't have problem here" and never ever try to improve the quality of the anime itself till the end? Congrats this is one of them...Let's start the review about this "great anime":

(First of all i apologize for my terrible english, i tried give my best to avoid any errors)

Story (1):
The anime story is the most weakness point in this anime without no doubt after the character. It focused on a young boy Youtaro, who didn't ... want to be a knight but had a 'white knight syndrom' that made him always behaves like a knight after saving people. But, after some trips he met with a lonely little girl name Makio and he finally decided to protect Makio with his knight ability. Yeah the story is simple and easy to be understood, but it didn't change the fact there are no special things about it and wtf...the progresses are even worse so yeah, it's suck a lot. I seriously always end up confusing why they can mess it so bad when watching it, but well what can we expect..

Art (3):
The art animation is nice and smooth enough, especially some backgrounds sometimes catching my eyes, and the animation style kinda reminds me to Trigger Studio anime productions which the most of their anime more focus on colorful animation style......for only 2 episodes, yeah and then it became so ugly and awful for the next episodes until it ends. The biggest minus in this point is the action animation. If you watch it carefully, then you'll see some flats movements and even uncolored animation inside the anime, really showing how low the budgets this anime had.

Sound (5):
The biggest point in this anime. Probably some music backgrounds literally standard, but the opening and ending songs are good enough in my opinion. The opening song was sung by Suzuko Mimori which we know is one of Love Live voice actress as Umi, and her singing experience really means in this anime. For ending song, they used Taketatsu Ayana who according my opinion, is one of the most cutest voice i ever heard in anime, so it's a right decision to give her that role. Finally i can write a positive thing about this garbage.

Character (1):
As the story really weak that also means for the characters. The puberty young boy who became the main character, and loli as the main heroine, and blonde girl as mc partner, and also you got a talking horse, and don't forget, you have maid too! Is that not enough? Yes it's great if only THEY HAVE GOOD CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT which is never happens. After watching the anime, i found that there is no interesting characters that can blushing you out or make you scream because how great they are, seriously they all bad, really bad and boring. The only one character who actually "good" enough for me is the main heroine, Makio with her powerful cuteness. Like wise man said, moe saves everything...

Enjoyment (2):
"Although this anime have mediocre story and poor characters, i still enjoy it so far" said no one ever. It's suck and bad but i try to suggest you watch it by yourself so at least maybe you can understand my point.

Overall (2):
It's one hell shitty experience, and i hate it so much..

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi is the kind of anime where you'll quite enjoy it in your free time, and probably this is what this anime meant to be. Honestly, this anime is average as its best but they really and seriously had a chance to make it decent and unfortunately they failed to deliver it to make it great. The concept is relative mainstream but consider it's 2010 anime, i am not sure it's bad idea at all, and the story...yup the weakest part of this anime. So let's begin with this review for every aspects:

-Maybe i unintentionally to give some spoilers, so spoilers ... alert-

(Story)= 5
Well like i said before, this is the most underwhelming part and aspect for this anime. Let's take a look from the main focus of this anime, there is a tsundere girl called Ookami Ryouko who have been trying for getting stronger and stronger so she can' protect herself without the helps from others because from what she experienced in her "dark" past, but guess what in highschool she then suddenly joined with this Bank Otogi without any explanations why she can joined. I mean, she tried to avoid any contacts from people (except Ringo who the only person she can trusts) but the way they never explained it bothered me a little. And then suddenly there is this "stalker" called Ryoushi-kun appears nowhere and confess if he loves her just because personally for me a weak reason why he can love her, and then he says will do anything to be in her side (a little bit cliche here). Well as you can see, there are a lot ordinary progress that happen toward the story, but the problem is actually: there is no actual or big progresses at all!!!! I mean, from episode 1-8, people are gonna expecting something bigger gonna happen that can influence both of them to be more closer or a big event who can drive the story to be more creative and awesome, and yes there are some small events happen there, but the impacts aren't that much from what we expect. I won't gonna spoiling more so that's the best i can tell to you about the summary of story in the anime.

(Art)=8
This is the best aspect of the anime for me. The animation is decent enough, and the quality isn't bad at all, i mean it's 2010 anime so with this animation they actually did a pretty good job for it. The character designs also aren't bad although some of them are pretty weird and mainstream, like this Ryoushi-kun is the type of main character that you'll forget easily, or Ookami herself who look like Aisaka Taiga 2.0 (with more height, but still no boobs lol), and the antagonist Hitsujikai who looks pretty edgy for me. But overall, this aspect is good.

(Sound)=6
Kinda meh except the voices acting especially the narrator who i like so much, but the music and soundtracks aren't going to be in my favorite and i am not bothering to skip every opening and ending for every episode of the anime.

(Character)=6
I honestly not really like Ookami at all because actually i am tired of the tsundere character, and this girl is kind of the extreme one. Sometimes i just want her to stop, i mean seriously like stop for acting like a bitch and yes it annoys me a lot, and don't forget the mainstream part she always punches and blames main character even he does nothing, i am pretty sure no one likes this type of cliche right. And her character, yup so complicated, for comparison Aisaka Taiga is also an extreme tsundere but at least she tried to be honest about herself to the person she loves but this Ookami, no...she never even tried how to get close with the persons she cares instead everyone right there who always do it for her especially the main character, but guess what? he always ends up with a punch on his face smh. I know it's a 2010 anime, but even then i still can't stand with this tsundere heroine. And then the mc Ryoushi-kun, who actually has the character developments in this anime, but unfortunately like i said, he isn't so special and doesn't have any great appeal at all, you'll so easy to forget him anytime soon. And the antagonist of this anime is terrible, i don't get his motives at all because they all are so unclear, why he suddenly becomes the student council chairman in rival school? where he have been before? what his actual motive to do that? we'll never know because the anime failed to tell us clearly about it. Besides that, most of the side characters are pretty interesting and good, so this one really saves this aspect for me to this anime.

Regardless from the negative opinions i give towards this anime, i'll be honest if i actually enjoy it a lot because i just like the anime who using a school setting as their genre, and if you're like me so i am sure you'll like it too, at least to fill your free time.

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi is an average anime, not great but also not really bad at all so if you like the anime with the tsundere heroine as its focus, and school setting with actions as its genre, i can recommend it to you but don't expect it too much for the progresses or anything, because that's the part where this anime failed to deliver..

Surely one of the most anticipated anime movie this year for me, not to try get hyped but this movie is just awesome. I know the most people some kind don't really like about KyoAni anime production, who just give a great visual & animation but always makes some moeshit anime without giving an outstanding story and attractive progression. My opinion, if you're one of that people try to watch this movie or Hibike Euphonium, i'm sure after some reasons you're going to change your mind. Then, let's start the review:

STORY (8):
If you had watched the TV series before, ... so you probably don't feel strange about the story, if you hadn't, try to watch the TV series before you start to this movie. The story focused on Kuriyama Mirai, a high school student with the ability to manipulate blood and Kanbara Akihito who is half-human and half-youmu. The story continues from the TV series and taking place one year after last series. I think KyoAni finally shows us if a great quality should be mixed with awesome story. The story here really nice probably same or even better than the TV series, they gave enough propotion for fight scenes and also for some romance scene who particular are rarely be shown in last series. Something minus for me is just the quick tempo for character development which i consider it's ok because the time duration not too long. At least, the story is good after all.

Sound (8):
All soundtracks are nice and one of good point in this movie, i even tried to search all of the songs to i listen by my self. For voice acting, we really should give a thanks for all actors & actress because of their great performances. The ending song also took my ear to listen it for 2 minutes ending, Minori Chihara's voice is just too sweet & memorable, and i can't wait to download the full version.

Art (10):
This is what the biggest point of this show or even all KyoAni anime. KyoAni, once again provided a great visuals & background for the animation, and they also proved if a great animation can make something different for all anime aspects. I am sure tought you're one of KyoAni haters, you just can't disagree about the stunning animation quality who they deserves.

Character (8):
Alright let's just make it clear, KyoAni as we know usually always deserves an easy enjoyable anime about daily life story with the most part of the characters are girls with one or two boys, or even no boys. But here, finally for first time since Inuyasha and Fullmetal Panic!, KyoAni broke their rule and start to make action anime again with interesting characters and background story. And for characters, they have their own characteristics here. A glasses but full care character like Kanbara Akihito, moe girl with attractive personality like Kuriyama Mirai, sharp words but the most care character like Mitsuki, or even a pervert character but have cool image like Hiroomi. Everything was combined in one story, and since we know Akihito and Mirai have a romantic feelings, that will keep us to like them fully.

Enjoyment (10):
As i said in first time, i really anticipated this movie so long, so i have no reason to not enjoy it so much after all of that reasons, and i will try to rewatch it sometimes....

Overall (10):
This is just my opinion, but i have no doubt to give it full 10 and i have no regret for that...
if you like moe, so you will like this movie, if you like action with great animation, you must watch this movie, if you like romance, i suggest you this movie, if you don't like any parts of that, well...then you shouldn't open this page...
