Mushoku Tensei is a redemption story that depicts a scumbag slowly become better. That’s... what a redemption story is. Whilst Rudy’s paedophilic and scummy acts may not be justified, what many people aren’t capable of understanding is that this series covers his growth over a long term span. You can’t genuinely expect him to just become an entirely new person over a few episodes, and this is something that makes Mushoku Tensei enjoyable.
The story starts off extremely slow, mostly world and character building. But already, in this arc of the story, we really get to see the difference between Rudeus and the new world. On

Earth, killing is generally considered an act that goes against our morals, but here, it’s generally considered normal. When the kidnappers are beheaded by Ghyslaine, the reactions of Eris and Rudeus really shows this, which brings me to my next point.
Rudeus in his past life was a 34 year old neet, as well as a scumbag who had no real special traits about him, and we see this get passed on. He doesn’t immediately become an intelligent or emotionally stable person, in fact, it’s almost the opposite. Continuing from before, although Rudy is developing as a better person, we get to see that his mind hasn’t fully adapted to his new world, hence why he became so scared at the sight of seeing death. But what does this mean? It means that Rudeus is actually human, and an actual character. In the final episode of this season, we really get to see the growth of Rudeus from the beginning of the season. Although some people may have said that Rudeus only thinks of the females of tools and toys, this episode completely contradicting that idea, as Rudy is ready to accept the burdens and responsibility of destroying the city, just to get Eris safe and back to her home. Sure, he may still have sexual thoughts, but it’s demonstrated that Rudeus has indeed grown.
The animation and storyline is pretty good, and my main complaint with this show is that the show takes Rudy’s paedophilic acts and tries to play it off as comedy. Apart from that, it’s really not generic, and is actually quite a unique take on the isekai genre.
One last note, just want to say Skysurf is an absolute clown. You insist of disliking the show yet you come back so frequently to reiterate your dislike for it. What? Just move on after you review instead of trying to ruin the experience for so many others.
