Absolutely breathtaking.

I've always loved the works from both Yuusuke Nakamura and Asian Kung-Fu Generation and love whenever we get to see an animated collaboration.

Seeing different directors playing around with Nakamura's distinct art style is a treat to behold. While it doesn't strive to change the world, the small and self-contained energy it possess makes it worth sharing and worth discussing. Its vibrant colors and Nakamura's visual signifiers of vibrant colors sitting alone alongside empty white space as well as his integrations of animals and human characters make the visuals interesting and let you know exactly who he is as an artist.

I'm someone who doesn't understand most of the review for this short.

Most people say you "shouldn't waste your time" on something that's just an odd experience that lasts around 3 minutes.

It's stupid and practically incomprehensible, but is it really worth warning people about.

This is the kind of thing that you need to see to believe. You may think it's dumb, you may think it's funny. This isn't Citizen Cane, it's more like an SFM video that was made in 30 mins.

What this show is great at is taking the shonen formula, and use it as a way to show both gratifying victories and depressing losses through the various cook-offs in the show. The show really knows it's main characters and highlights what they do in their ups and downs. You connect with them and rejoice when they barely pull through like any good shonen should. What makes this show great is how it celebrates the victories. How the cast realizes they've tried their hardest and that their work has paid off.
