After fully watching the 1 Cour of Season 2 I feel like I can safely say that this anime is my No. 1# Anime since Full Metal Alchemist
I'm going to get into spoiler territory so if just wanna read another person's view or don't mind spoilers this is for you.
This anime has made me, more than any other anime in the Isekai genre, invested in the Main Character, the world, and the people that inhabit it. The story follows our Isekai boy on a journey of realizing he actually does have trauma from being abandoned by a long-time companion after spending a vulnerable moment with
...
her, leading him to have erectile dysfunction (ED) which he discovers while ruining a relationship of his and going to school cause Man God said he'd get cured. I have to say early on, but only Mushoku Tensei can make a story of a man trying to find an intimate relationship using ED as a cover, cause firstly it's insane how the author chose to convey it and I've seen a few people not understanding why we've gone to school which I hope to make clear.
Rudeus Greyrat and the world of Mushoku Tensei is so well fleshed out that I find it immersive when, in a few episodes, we find out Rudy doesn't find his mother, but rather the multiple people he's gotten to know, his family, and the world around him continues to act even without his presence. This ironically leaves him aimless to an extent so he wants to reconnect with his family, but then the Man God goad Rudeus about his ED and his relationship failures wham bham next thing you know he's trying to go cure his ED cause 1) he's a horny guy so wouldn't he want to cure his ED 2) his sexual performance has been intimately connected to his relationships one being in his own mind and the other for real 3) he wants to be with someone.
The story of Rudy and his progression has always been motivated by his wants, needs, and desires (no matter how degenerate :/ ) as he becomes a better person, this Cour continues in that as it explores his unhealthy connection with sexual performance, as he makes new friends, stumbles through life, and reunites with a childhood friends while putting the A plot of mass teleportation on the backburner but still in mind. The people he meets aren't just random people but are connected to the rest of the world, beast people of regions Rudeus has been to, other Greyrats of his ever-promiscuous 'noble' house, all while fleshing out another clearly defined regions, their economies, and cultures. In this way, Mushoku Tensei is truly able to create a high fantasy world that lives and breathes while still focusing on the progression of Rudy on a personal level as well.
TL;DR If what you watch this anime for the insanity and character progression of Rudy then you'll enjoy this, if you enjoy the building of the world you'll enjoy this, and if you love the amazing background animation and sakuga moments then this 1st Cour won't disappoint. If you liked the adventuring and the plot of mass teleportation their both don't he a backburner so you might be disappointed. Even so, as a piece of art, I can only say I'm a big fan.

When I was watching this show at first I thought it'd be like any other, 6th episodes in and I realised I haven't skipped a single OP or ED in spite of me doing so with every other anime I've watched, and somehow my dunce brain that can't remember names for shiz new every main character.
This show is special, its first episode gave itself an hour and twenty to build the premise right, its intro is tailor-made for the show cause I haven't heard a YOASOBI song anywhere similar, and the care it chooses to give to a glimpse into the entertainment industry is
...
a love letter to those within it both on a story and animation perspective.
Also, I saw a few weird reviews criticising it that seem misinformed on the meaning of it, the premise of the show is the tragedy of the entertainment industry, and how such an industry that brings joy to many people crushes those in it, the main cast trying to live, thrive, and enjoy it. The overarching B plot being the guy trying to find his mother's boyfriend which pushes him forward in the entertainment industry in the hope of finding him (there's more info here but that would be a spoiler and I'm trying to avoid it).
TL;DR: As a whole, it's an amazingly animated anime and I would recommend it if you want to hear a YOASOBI OP and would like to see a jovial exploration of the entertainment industry through two twin with serious undertones that bubble up from time to time.

Kaguya-sama deserves a 10/10 but I don't give comedies that rating cause I personally don't think I give it the same ratings as dramas that make social commentary and tell beautiful stories... but this season realllly pushed me.
Season 3 has some of the most relatable and realistic depictions of both modern dating and high school interactions than both previous seasons and is all the more hilarious for it.
As a person in his early 20s, this anime's depictions accurately reflect the raw feeling and mindset, albeit a bit hyperbole, in a way that is both hilarious in retrospect and relatable as a result.
Overall is a 9/10
...
with everything but the story just not hitting that 10/10 marker. A must watch out of all the Kaguya-sama seasons.

As a person that keeps up-to-date on tech, I have to give mad respect for the real obscure joke that made me burst out laughing. If you know you know.
I have to say that I believe that the show builds upon what worked best in the first season and throughout what didn't, which is the absolutely great comedy and unique world and ridding itself of cliches regarding the MC and main love interest.
The main strong points of the show are the complex conundrums that come about from being so powerful he literally can't use it, and the world of cultivation that the story is based
...
in. I'm happy to say that the scenarios that play out become more interesting while the world itself is built upon and foreshadowed surprisingly well with small aspects like news in the background adding up to being relevant to a later event.
The animation budget getting a bump and the audio actually being upped in gain was very much appreciated.
I have to say though that at times it felt rushed and didn't build up certain characters as well, even though it does affect the overall pacing, I didn't mind much.
It's a solid 8 and an above in my books, great fun to watch unless you're really not into overarching stories with a more episodic story style.

A capital FUNNY, cliche as hell, but fun and funny.
It's great that it pays homage to its author and has really good setups for the comedy on display in the show.
The MC has a heart of gold that is hard not to love and the main love interest is surprisingly relevant at the end when I thought it was going to get really cliche, sure it's still cliche as hell despite that, but it was refreshing to see at least a bit of subversion of expectations.
Also, idk if it was just me but all versions of this season just had real soft audio.
...
Nevertheless, it is affected by viewing experience, and hope it isn't a persistent issue.
I will say though, that the cultivation system that powers every technology is also a great premise that can be built upon further.
An overall 7 but a 9 on enjoyment, fun to watch as a popcorn show.

It had a banger of an OP that I listened to at least 100 times, I just wished the rest of the anime had the same production value. xD
The story sounds like it could get a lot more interesting but the world it's built is quite shallow despite its eluding to a larger world that influences aspects of the OP's life, it happens once when he gets his powers and no other time.
It likes to give pretenses of an outside world by inserting characters onto the scene that just so happen to need to be there cause the city just so happens to be
...
important for A or B reason despite those reasons not really being justified properly
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Such a reason would be the formation eye that appears and creates an ancient tomb, sure it can appear anywhere and there are a finite number of them, but it just happens one appeared like an hour away form his city.
Or that the city is supposedly the heart of the 'resistance' that doesn't appear in the first season? That's foreshadowing of grave importance that just isn't even become relevant in terms of events or effects.
*END OF SPOILERS*
In any case, it's an overall 8, music was amazing with the OP, and the added dialogue with it just made it amazing to hear cause it was just the right amount of smug to make it 100 times cooler.
Recommend a watch just to hear the OP at least.

There are no words for me to describe how much I fell in love with this show. It's old, has pacing issues, and has its fair share of critics, still, I absolutely love the show.
This is not so much a review but be trying to explain why I like the show despite its criticisms and why I think it deserves a 10/10.
Firstly, we need to get things straight, I came into this anime expecting a grand space opera, and that is what I got. When looked at a closer lens, Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu has a plethora of problems, whether that's 2-dimensional characters, the overall slow
...
movement of events, and the constant narration. These are all fair criticisms to make, as they're all true, and if one can't past these problems of the anime then it's understandable. That said, none of these problems hurt the story or the enjoyment I had from watching it.
When it comes down to it LoGH is a narrative-driven anime that is trying to pose a serious socio-political question on the efficacy of systems and tries to do so in a fascinating space opera. The expectation that you should have when watching LoGH is one of either learning history or seeing history play out.
When looked through this lens characters play more of a role as ways to portray a narrative and not areas of interest in and of themselves. The show's slow pacing help to a certain extent builds a sense of time and scale between events, 10 months passed from d-day to the battle of berlin, although I don't it was intentional at all the slow pace helps in the feel of seeing history play out. The constant narration also helps in building a sense of watching history, as if you were watching footage that was being presented to you as if to weave a narrative.
Secondly, revisiting the question, what is the question? Pure and simple, there are two different remarkable individuals destined for greatness that have been born in two different countries and political systems, which system will better accommodate these individuals and let them reach their potential? In true successful country fashion, the answer to the story just so happens to be Japan's political system (this isn't surprising as the country was experiencing an economic boom and great governance when the novel was created), and although it does guide you towards a conclusion the overall portrayal of socio-political issues in isolated incidents and criticisms levied towards these issues and the political systems portrayed are in many ways valid and good takeaways.
*Work in progress*

This anime gives the pure enjoyment of a badass doing badass things in another world, it's that simple.
I won't say it's profound but if you're looking for a popcorn show that affords plenty of entertainment without making you want to cringe by being a self-insert or being too unbelievable then this is the anime for you. The simple ecstasy I get from watching a trained killer basically making himself an unstoppable killing machine, experience real emotions for the first time, and still be as cold, calculating, and efficient as he was in his past life is just pure bliss.
It's well animated, it's enjoyable, and if
...
any of the things I stated above don't draw you in then pass it. Whatever decision you come to, this is a good anime to off the brain to and just enjoy the ride in the mind of the world's best assassin!
