So ever since I watched Attack on Titan, I've been excited for the second series and so after non-stop thoughts about Attack on Titan, I decided to watch the series dubbed and it was even better. Shortly after watching it dubbed, I heard about this small ova, Attack on Titan: Birth of Levi. I could not wait for this to come out as it was based on my favourite character of the series, Levi. The trailer also got me very excited about this ova. As it turns out, I got to the ova a few days
...
late after release which had me down but then the day finally came. So, was I disappointed?
Story: 9
The story is pretty solid, it's about Levi's past in the underground slums with no access to sunlight unless you pay to go see and even if you do, you won't be able to stay very long without any citizenship. In order for Levi, Farlen and Isabel to survive, they go around stealing food and earning money as hired thugs.
One day, a mysterious man comes to there front door with a deal, Levi tells him to piss off but the man says he's already paid his compensation, taking his friend to a surface hospital for treatment for his legs. Levi, Farlen and Isabel then follow the man to the surface to find out what the job is.
The next day, they rob a few merchants for food and then they get into a chase, from the looks, it's the military police, shortly after doing evasion mauvers, they continue to get followed and they figure out that it's not the military police but the servey corps. After you see Levi do a few fancy tricks, he gets into a fight with Erwin. Erwin then tells him to surrender as his friends have been captured. After being tied up, Erwin asks how they learnt to use manoeuvre gear like that, he doesn't respond and he gets his face beaten into the ground. Farlen then answers. Erwin then ask Levi to join them or get punished but the law. Levi unwilling accepts.
Art: 9
The art is just amazing, as usual. It especially looks spectacular when they are being chased by Erwin.
Sound: 9
The sound/music is amazing and it really sets the atmosphere and mood of the ova, as expected from this amazing series. There is no disappointment here.
Characters: 9
The ova introduces us two new main characters which support Levi by being his companions.
Levi in this ova is the leader of the group and has two companions, they both trust him and respect him. He also cares about his hygiene (which is funny, he pummels a guy to the ground because he touched his shoulder with his dirty hand).
Farlan is one of Levi's companions and is able to keep himself calm and steady. He has a lot of respect for Levi and so in return, Levi also respects him and his opinions. He is also very talented at using the 3D manoeuvre gear.
Isabel is another one of Levi's companions and very energetic who's confident in her abilities. She cares for her friends, because she is willing to sacrifice information to keep Levi from being hurt. She is also very talented at using the 3D manoeuvre gear.
Enjoyment: 10
I have been waiting a long time for this ova and it didn't disappoint in any area and so I really enjoyed this ova and I cannot wait till the second one is released to find out happens when he first joins the Survey Corps.
Overall: 9
I have been overjoyed with the first ova from the two being made but with such a strong story and characters, I am a little disappointed with that there will only be two airing. They have done great with the first episode and I'm sure the second will be even better.

I advice you not to watch this anime but if you want an explanation on why, continue reading.
The story is horrible when it comes to this anime, it had potential but in the end they failed miserably. The story is about this girl born from this Peach.... She then meets some celestial maidens and then she and her dog, bird and monkey (which can talk by the way, why did no one think this was strange?) begin their quest to find peach fragments which hold great power (see, potential right). Most of the episodes are them hunting for these peach fragments while versing their
...
enemy the Oni (but really, they're not really enemies, they become more friends than anything). Most episodes feel like fillers which have no story whatsoever with them going to the beach and even becoming idols.
The art while still being bad is probably the best thing about this anime and most of the art work is probably done of the female characters boobs (and even a fat Oni). They shine and are always pink for some reason.
The character development was completely dreadful with little to no information about anyone until near the very end of the series... I think if I saw a dead animal on the side of the road, I would know more about them than anyone in this anime.
Overall this anime was completely horrible and I recommend this to anyone who wants to waste their time watching a pointless anime like this. The best thing about this anime was that it ended, week after week I was hoping for the last episode and when it finally came, I was in joy to finally finish this.

[UPDATED]
Like anything to do with Sinbad, the oh great and glorious conqueror of the Seven Seas, it's mostly the same but they add some depth into the way he goes about his life and how he got to where he is.
With the third OVA released I couldn't wait to watch it and I did straight away, even being in area with little to no internet, I loaded the episode and watched it when it was done and man did I enjoy it! It was everything I wanted (well except the cliffhanger :/).
Story (8)
It's all about SINBAD! when it comes to these OVA's,
...
hence the name. It goes through early life troubles of himself, his family, his village and his comrade Drakon. The story works well and they show everything needed and it's very easy to understand which is good if you're looking for a easy and relaxing OVA to watch.
The story for the new OVA is about one of Sinbad's eight generals in his early life and he must prove himself as a man in front of his sister by slaying a sea monster, while on the verge of death, Sinbad comes outta no where and slays the beast and saves them. He gets invited to their isolated icy village and hears about a new dungeon and he warns the village not to go and that he must do it so no one else would get killed. With Hinahoho getting false credit for slaying the beast, he wants to prove himself and goes to the dungeon.
Art (9)
It's the complete same as the normal anime so their won't be any surprises when you watch this, there's detail on characters that don't need a lot of detail for them so that's a good touch.
The art always amazes me and with the third OVA it still did, to me it just added the icing to the cake after the long wait for this.
Sound (8)
Just like the normal anime so if you enjoyed the sound in that, you'll enjoy it in this :).
Character (7)
They don't go into very much detail with any character, a little with Sinbad but other than that, no. Sinbad was born with great power, oh cool, and cliché. With the rest of the characters, they're just military people and want power, not much of a big surprise. On the other hand Yunan is a mysterious character with little known about him.
In the third OVA they introduce Hinahoho and his little icy village, along with a few more characters such a his sister, father, etc. With all the new characters added, I thought they did well with giving us enough information about them all and made it a very good watch.
Enjoyment (9)
I thought that this was a great watch, mainly because I get to watch more Magi.
Overall (8)
I have enjoyed all of the OVA's that have been released so far and with the 4th one being announced, I just can't help myself to get excited. I can't wait.
I hope this review was helpful.
(With this being newly updated for the third OVA, I will be updating it again for the earlier episodes and adding more to the review).
