This is a very good isekai, quite original both in its story and its execution. The MC isn't OP at all, far from it; he's a fearful human surrounded by monsters, each as powerful as the next. He's a salaryman who's really good at what he does, and he uses his skills to help his companions; it reminds me of Benriya Saitou, who's in the same vein.

Uchimura has very low self-esteem, which can sometimes make him annoying, but he's a normal human after all, with his strengths and weaknesses. And this low self-esteem is precisely one of his flaws (it's even the main one), but ... it's understandable given his past as a Japanese salaryman exploited by his company. For me, the fact that he's an ordinary human makes the story truly original and quite realistic. In short, if you're looking for an isekai that stands out even a little from the crap we've been getting lately, then this one should make you happy or at least entertain you a little. Personally, I really liked this one and I'm hoping for a second season, even though I have little hope.

I think it's one of the best isekai. The beginning is basic like many isekai but the story is really pleasant and well-crafted. There is development, action, twists and turns. Even if you dont like isekai anime that much I think you will enjoy watching this.

The MC can seem somewhat boring sometimes but it is nevertheless pleasant to see him evolve, he is not OP like a lot of isekai prota and ESPECIALLY his progression is logical because he becomes strong by training. And the other characters are just as pleasant to follow.

Hope we get a new season.

An excellent season 2, I think it is successful overall. Little spoiler : I loved seeing the Red/Rit couple having a good time together and even getting engaged. Certainly Van and his little idiot behavior was a bit hard to follow but it's good that he ended up changing his mind and evolving afterwards (even if it was a bit long I admit) but it had to be because the demon king must be defeated after all.

This season 2 allowed us to develop a lot of characters like Ruti, Theodora/Esta, Albert and many other characters. I really enjoyed seeing these characters change for the better. ... Don't forget that it's a romance and slice of life anime in a medieval universe so it's normal that the anime doesn't emphasize combat.
In short, I would rate this season 9/10.

Huge disappointment ! The anime is definitely not worth it. It's just a mix of clichés, I thought I'd already given up after the first episodes but I told myself that it would perhaps surprise me like The Danger In My Heart but in the end it was really a waste of time.

The MC is the most pathetic character I've seen in a romcom, he's so cringe he's the perfect simp. He's already a big hypocrite who thinks he's different from the girl's exes but he comes up with all kinds of crazy ideas just to hold the girl's hand. Besides how unbearable he is ... to act cowardly all the time, even the other one in Hajimete no Gal has a better character trait. I don't think I've ever hated a protagonist so much since the horrible Rent a Girlfriend.

The girl is portrayed as naive and easily manipulated ok why not? She says she wanted to experience the same love story as her parents ok why not? But after two relationships if you see that things are not going well you have to question yourself, question your relationships. We all make mistakes, but blaming others all the time is not proof of maturity. Above all, I think that she idealizes romantic relationships too much. In addition she says that her parents divorced then her mother remarried only to divorce again so from there you have to stop dreaming.

The story is meant to be realistic but the characters are full of contradictions and inconsistencies. There's a lot of drama and misunderstandings for nothing when they could have resolved their problems simply by talking. Both the main and secondary characters are uninteresting and very poorly written. It's just a collection of stupid clichés. Usually clichés don't bother me too much, as long as there are fewer of them and they are well done.

I'm a good audience but this is just too much for me. You can always try but if you see that you want to give up after the first episodes, don't force drop the anime. There are much more interesting romances like Skip to Loafer, Horimiya or A Galaxy Next Door to name just a few.
