Well from the start I have to say that this show really needs the tag of CGDCT, 80% of the show is really that I know that the chapters need a form to build a history but no like this came on. They could have done it like in Strike/Brave Witches.
I personally have a problem with the pick of the planes for the main squadron the Ki 44 and the He 100 is okey but the Gladiator for the main character plane? A biplane going like jet speed? idk It is strange, they not come up with something cooler idea? I know the Gladiator was

a good plane, but I do not like it I would have preferred the Swordfish instead at least it would have been funny. The other plane that bothers me is the MC 72 same, is it the only cool plane that you came up? the Italians had a lot of cool planes in the war. I know that the idea here is to bring not such common planes to the screen, but you can do it much better.
The history is the same as the other shows like this, planes piloted by cute girls to destroy monsters, nothing much refreshing here.
the good point of the show is:
The music I like it and is well placed.
The animation is super nice the effects are really the best of the show.
In general, the entire of the show appeared a ton of planes I like that a lot, but at the same time it bothers me because they could have taken planes from there to the main cast.
I think if they could develop a better fitting history it could be a really good anime. the first chapter (45m) I was really good and the ending 11 and 12 it is an ok but in between is only CGDCT stuff.
If you are here to watch girls doing CGDCT this is for you, but if you are here to watch a history military anime (like me) just what the first and the 11 12 chapters.

I really like the idea for the story I think that was like no game no life with different race in war fighting for the world "domination", the characters seen slightly generic, but they are fair enough.
The problem with this series was the very very poor animation quality I don’t know how they did this, the characters faces looks like nothing is happening in any moment, animation for the fight was the worst I’ve ever seen in a long time, direction of the chapter could be better with the dialog or the expressions, etc.

this serios could be at least a 7.0 not a 6.something. A shame because I read the LN at is good is, not the big thing but is entertaining, the series with all his faults is entertaining for me, so with effort It would have been very good.
I don’t know if can recommend this at the end, I will tell just to go the read the LN or the Manga.

Let my tell I love the manga but I hate the ending.
****SPOLILER WARNING****
So they told as that if they get to suck again Kou blood again Nazuna and Kou will die like what happen with Kiku and Mahiru, but they don’t forget something? Is not the same here, Kou is a half-vampire and Nazuna a pure vampire, really the Autor could not work something with that? Other thing is Kou after 3 year he can still transforming in half-vampirism and when Nazuna ask for how he can still transforming the only we have is “haha I don’t know” like wtf man that don’t tell you

that they can do something more? After that Kou give a to Nazuna a pack of his blood, so after 3 year she can still suck his blood what happened with the rule of the 1 year? That no tell you something again?
So after that with get a final panel that Nazuna told that she really love Kou and she suggest a endless tag game until the death separate them, I thing this I very sad because how many year could last 30, 40? Because Kou is not really and immortal vampire he age and eventually die leaving her alone again.
I don’t know about you but I hate this types of “open ending” this is not a thing that can leave open and forget, in the series we have very good character development and a very strait goal, what is the problem that an ending like Spice and Wolf or ReLife? All tied up and with a very clear idea of what the future is going to be like.
I still hope that an extra volume came out explaining something or with a future that Kou after he find Nazuna could really become a vampire and stay with her forever or something like that is not very complicate come on.
So then to round this “ending” is no more that a the author's lack of vision/imagination of how to make a good ending well. It was very easy thing to do right but with the idea of being an open ending they do very poorly made ending. I could be worse yeah, I could be better absolute yeah but instead we have a 0 emotion ending that is very disappointing after 200 chapters. I wont recommend to read this or other Autor fantasies.

So I have to say that brave witches is better that Strike witches in some some aspects. Brave witches have more drama and a complex character development for protagonist and the others characters. The plot is more focus in tell a history than show fanservice, I have a problem with strike witches that every 5 minutes has some form of fan service not counting the filler chapters that is all about fan service, in breve witch the plot in mandatory, we still have some form of fan service but is like every other normal series. The lore of the WWII is still present like Strick
...
witches, and I have to say is very well done (that for me is the main reason for watch). Strike and Brave witches share the same world but the history telling is better for me in Brave witches in comparation for at least the first season of Strike witches.
I can see my very much recommendation this series than the original, don't get me wrong the original series is very good but for persons who can't stand fan service they can't watch it, on the other hand this is totally watchable for anyone. I would like to see more of the hikari path and the 502.

I think that I am one of those 1% persons who watch this series for WWII lore, but I must admit that is pretty accurate whit this (like the planes, the ships, the tanks, the sounds, people, etc), at levels that I could not imagine everything ok and very very well done, even the sounds of airplane engines. the history of the series in general is good enough, but the quantity of ecchi content for me is more that I can sometimes tolerate. I think if you are a person that like lore of WWII o like to see a loly girls shoot something and

then pose in ecchi poses you will like to see. in my case is first one and enjoy watching it. but if you are person that not like one or the other just skip it.
I case of this season the star and the ending are the best of the entire series.
i hope to see more of this word.
