This was simultaneously frustrating and entertaining.
I found the premise interesting and the art style of the show appealing. I liked the idea of the setting being where romance was going to happen but that was influenced later. The side characters are to be honest better than the main cast and more interesting. There was very little plot in the second half of the show with there being a lot of actions having no point really. Simply Ok. It is a funny parody but I found it could be boring throughout it wasn't until the final episode or two that I was intrigued which is why my rating is 6 not 5. Also, the same things they poked at in the first season repeated which wore out the enjoyment, it actually made it slightly irritating and made me feel very little for the characters The animation can be cool at times and Yes the opening is fun but that doesn't cover the problems with the series.
Overall a good parody but I wouldn't look for more past that. It is something ...

I loved the vibe of this series with a slow pace and the fantasy elements of the story characters are built effectively from the interactions between them and the people around them and how they interact with their environment. Boji, the main character, is amazing it is refreshing to see a disabled character who gradually develops and was always strong and capable even though others had been cruel to him building onto the underdog story. I think I appreciate this more as I myself am partially deaf and have other conditions that make the world difficult to interact with having also experienced how people underestimate

I really enjoyed the first season and would have continued to enjoy if not for one character. The Father, I could not stand him and it ruined my experience to the point I didn't want to continue but that's a problem for me. I would not tell anyone not to watch this as it provides a diverse experience from standard anime and the comedy and world make it so fun. To sum it up a confusing experience. There are some things that happen that made me incredibly uncomfortable. I was at first intrigued but they don't do much with the world that they have set up or even with the characters, nothing is really explained or acknowledged. This could have been something great. It was nice to see an anthropomorphic world but the had no impact on the story it may have well have been just humans an intriguing aspect became boring. It could be improved if the seasons continues so i will see but currently i am 50/50 in whether this is worth it

This is an example of good drama and suspense. The mythology adds to the setting and creates lore that makes the main plot feel more important. It completes one and then moves on to another plot. The first I believe is somewhat predictable however the experience is not diminished tone, suspense is effectively built and this does mean that when there are 'expected' twists it is a better one especially as what has been set and up makes you take the information for granted.
