You don't have to be Muslim to stand with Palestine, you just have to be HUMAN.
One of my best friends in school had been an anime and manga fan since seventh grade and, up until twelfth grade (2012), I'd tolerated her fangirling over fictional (supposedly hot) characters and seemingly epic moments in her favorite anime but never really understood the appeal, and I figured that although I respected her for enjoying something she loved so much, I'd never get into the whole thing myself (she even tried to 'convert' me once by having me watch the first two episodes of Fairy Tail).
Then, I don't know, I saw this other girl watching the first episode of One Piece (one of the anime my friend loved the most) at school on her laptop, and I could read the subtitles over her shoulder, and it looked funny and interesting...
And, well, the rest is history. Been an anime fan for over a decade now and do not regret it!

Apologies for the late issuing!
I think if you like Joe l, I would definitely recommend Versailles no bara, a historical anime about the French Revolution. It's sooooooooo good, such a good plot and story. It has the same director as ANJ (Dezaki Osamu). He does these stop-motion scenes that change color, he has such a unique style. Also Takarajima if you liked that old style animation, I think you would like since you've seen One Piece.
