Both involve a bunch of misfits with supernatural powers banding together to investigate supernatural phenomena. Both have quirky characters with unusual powers. The protagonists are straight charaters caught in a group of weirdos. Both employ a similar style of slapstick comedy with ludicrous situations and exaggerated expressions. Action scenes in both are very stylish. Bungou Stray Dogs is heavier on comedy though.

Misfits in a school setting and love triangle. Baka to Test has more comedy whereas Sakuraso is heavy on drama. The main characters have strikingly similar traits. While Sorata is an average guy among high achievers, Akihisa is the dumbest in a class of dumb people. Mashiro is comparable to Mizuki since they are both are highly talented. Both the male protagonists are attracted to this talent, and are strongly affected by it. Minami is comparable to Nanami since they both are attracted to the protagonist but have difficulty confessing.

Both are set in idyllic rural areas. We see the characters enjoying small things in life. Summer vacation in the countryside is also a common theme. Both the shows are soothing, hilarious and surprisingly insightful. The carefree nature of the characters is infectious, they make the viewer realize that we are as happy as we choose to be.

Both are set in cities where much more is going on than an average citizen is aware of. The focus is not on a single MC but on a cast of unusual and cool characters. We see pretty ordinary protagonists(?) shoved in insane action and watch them learn and grow. Violence is treated nonchalantly, often to comedic effect. The storytelling is also similar, with an episodic feel but getting to a plot underneath.
