Said girl is experienced in showbiz and has just quit her previous group. Then they started recruiting members to form a new group. This new group is trying to survive (and hopefully succeed) as artists in digital era where everything is measured by numbers on social media.

A group of Japanese schoolgirls taking a vacation abroad to make one last memory together. A tale of bittersweet parting. Plenty of their signature music too, as it should be. Both movies are also closed with beautiful songs that perfectly convey the groups' feelings.

Despite the starkly different premises (tanks and music), these two shows are surprisingly similar. For starter, they both have schoolgirl protagonists that are well versed in their respective field but deliberately chose a school that is only mediocre in terms of tankery/music. Despite that, their respective school has a big dream of winning the national tournament. The protagonists are reluctant to join at first, but becoming more committed to the cause gradually. What follows is a story of their struggles to attain that dream. Last but not least, the people who made these shows clearly did their research. You will pick up many interesting bits of knowledge of tanks/musical instruments by watching these two shows.

Hyakko

The best thing about these two manga is the abundance of interactions between main characters' group and their schoolmates. While many school comedy series focus almost exclusively on a small group of characters, Hyakko and School Rumble prefer to involve many characters in their shenanigans. The result is a very lively brand of comedy. If you're looking for school comedy series where the students outside of main characters' group are more than faceless background characters, then these two manga surely won't disappoint.
